Whoops sorry Terel. Guess it works different her, try "collapse"
Got it. Meet the Lord Admiral Jikan and the Royal Flagship Tia'Ren's Light
Jeez. Taskforces already lol.
Ill get some specs up on the boats assigned to Calypso now (which isn't much, the two destroyers, and like five frigs) and later down the road, other ships that appear.
Other then that...guess its time to get to business.

Normally when trying to open diplomatic relations they'd just send along a Diplomatic Cruiser like the Hand, escorted by a couple of frigates and a cruiser or two.
Since the Hand got blown up and there's a hostile presence somewhere in this region they decided not to take any chances and just send the Flagship instead along with her escort fleet. There're more ships on the way, but Admiral Jikan wants to get the Coalition Alliance's permission to bring the rest of his ships closer to their territory.

I expected as much. The moment the "talky boat" gets blown, all bets are usually off.
The Terelains know it was half their fault that the Hand as destroyed, and Lord Admiral Jikan certainly knows since he was one of the people who saw the footage from her... but they still can't let the destruction of a diplomatic vessel and the deaths of almost 1500 Terelains go. The ideal outcome from a Terelain standpoint is a quick war with the destruction of a couple of HRA industrial centres and a ceasefire acknowledging the Calypso Incident had originated from a terrible understanding .
They're not holding their breath on it though.

Lol you can tell that to me.
You can even acknowledge to the Cap, and he will or rather he has agree to that "half full, half empty" conundrum. But, at the same time, hes merely an officer with orders. And well with Overseer Tanner on the scene as the political representative of the Coalition. Things will be...different.

Looking over the stats of the Isaia class carrier, I think I made a mistake and didn't include the drone fighters it should probably have... right now a Dreadnought of similar size has more strike craft that a carrier, which doesn't make sense.
I have nothing to say on the matter lol
You guys have huge ship xD
And ive never seen the reason for a DN. Better off just making a mobile battlestation

We had a long time and a lot of excess resources to build them with. They're designed partially to outgun everyone in their region of space, and partly for psychological warfare and royal prestige.
The creative and competitive impulses of the combine Noble Houses also might have had a hand. They needed something to distract them during the two thousand year period when the Terelains had no Flicker-Life species to compete against, no external distraction.

There, I swapped around the strike craft complement for the carriers and dreadnoughts and added a reduced amount of drones to the dreadnought.
Thanks for the birthday wishes, bros!
Actually I messed it all up... but I think I fixed it.
Oh, and you're welcome HRA

No probs.
And yeah I saw. just put the stats up for all the types thatll be used by the Coalition, except the cruisers i think. May or may not see race specific ships, but thats probably a dire worst case scenario thing.

In about one day by impulse, one hour by slow FTL, you're gonna scream the words "INCOMING PROJECTILES!!" As my fleet rips you a new one.
I need to get the Forgeworld on the ground

"Projectile weaponry? How amusingly primitive. I've not seen a weapon like that for a couple of thousand years... do we even remember how to shoot that down?"
"Uuh... no... no sir, we don't."
"Ah... SHIELDS!!!"
... Not that they have actually forgotten how to defend against projectile weapons. Terelains are kind of packrat-ish when it comes to storing away knowledge. Who knows what tidbit might be useful the next time civilisation collapses?

Humans in the Coalition totally still use "slugthrowers."
We use Lance (energy weapons), Shells, Slugs, Shot, Missiles, and Plasma weaponry. All weapons have an EMP charge in them to rip through shields.
Third body is Calypso, right? I'll just say yes
Nah its the second body, further in system.
M class system; Red star. That is why the habitable planet is so far in system.
On another note, Tanner will be complicating things Terel lol.
