No prob Terel. I think HRA will have a response to our actions by then
I will.
Bugger, man. I can't think. Imma sleep on this
Oh interesting....FTL capable ICBM. Must be huge to withstand the tidal forces of FTL travel.
And those alien nanites are gonna haunt ya HRA
But alas, you can have the god damn Calypso system! xD

Yeah. Next time I bring Psykers on board, I should have more protection around him. If at all.
Yay!!
Yay!!
But that would make it worst yeah? Since they are homing in on all Psi capable beings first
Oh and I didnt forget the ICBM, just my next few post will be sort of the "discussion room" type deal; everything not happening in an instant.

What would make it worse? If Matt hadn't seen them with his mind. He's the most powerful Psyker they know. I mean, it's safe to say that if he was searching for you guys (that was my first idea, to find a way into the Aether, but I thought, hell, why not?", he could find the nanites, right? And do something about it. But yes, I am actually very afraid of those nanites... For more reasons than you think...
No, I understand that. Very fun, ain't it? I can't wait.

Well thats far enough.....but then lets say Matt is the only Psyker and he sees them.
Thats tens of thousands of alien nanites swarming toward him. Which has sorta alien psionic influences themselves. Maybe he'll survive, but you'll have a powerful asset thats been "damaged," as opposed to losing what a couple hundred thousand men. Theoretically though >.<
Lol oh yus that ICBM mhmmm

I want to see them get through the Warp shields, first.
Hey, consider yourself lucky that I didn't have the ForgeWorld out yet.

NO ONE REPLY YET!
I need to fix it, and my iPad was low on battery, so... Yeah..

LOL funny thing, I was writing my reply to Terel since we are conferencing. Itll probably be like three/two posts before that ICBM gets acknowledged.
Or something drastic happens.

Actually, they DO have something... The data they were referring to was the sensor data collected on the munitions the HRA fired on them, which they can aso use to extrapolate likely weapons mechanisms.
Similarly, the Terelains were scanning and analysing the HRA ships that they were firing on, since their AIs use that data to fine-tune their weapons. I don't know how the HRA will scramble the sensor readings, but I'm sure they must have pulled something, especially from the munitions readings.

The Warp Shields are actually very interesting. They block Psychic, Energy, and any sort of Radio/Light/Sound waves. In other words, you can scan, you'll know it's there, you'll know the size, just good luck on identifying the rest of it.
Oh joy. Weapons. How that EMP could scramble the sensors.

They might not get readings from your ships, but they'll still get something off of your weaponsfire. Terelain sensors are veryadvanced, and a little EM interference isn't going to do much besides force them to calibrate the sensors to compensate.
Which is why a lot of my weapons have EMPs.
Yeah the haze from the EM interference of ships blowing up and EMP can affect scanners, BUT the funny thing about surviving enemy fire is that the more you take the heat, the more you learn and can extrapolate about it.
Its kinda like hacking. Over time, the more you attempt to hack into a system without being successful, the more the system learns your tactics, etc.

That is, if its a well made computer or well trained crew. Rookies don't learn well. That's why they rarely get on ships bigger than a Patrol Boat for 5 years.
Fair point.
And we're in the back alleys of the Frontier. Youre gonna have a while to find out where our Capital system

Well, you've got three incredibly intelligent AIs board the flagship, two of whom are at least twelve thousand years old, then you've got six more on theother capital ships and an AI aboard every destoyer and cruiser in the escort fleet.
Not to mention the Terelain military training is one o the most extensive in their region, lasting well over a century.

"It's kinda like hacking,"
Which reminds me, for those watery planets, how do you feel about Flying Boats?
