Kat sat quietly on the rusted steam powered bike, yawning as she ran her fingers long the brim of her hat. Her brown eyes scanned the dry area around her ~ this heat.. how can people stand it~ she thought shaking her head as she took out a bottle of water and gulped down some.

Dry this place was indeed, and hot. Drew was lightly sheltered from the blazing sun in a random tower that stood in a baren clearing. Through the scope of his rifle he got a closer look at the... thing on the bike. Drew hadn't seen an actual bike like this before, although he knew some people that had them. Despite this unique fact, Drew's finger hovered right over the trigger. It was a familiar thing, that hovering finger. It is what has decided who lives and who dies on the battlefield for many battles. The rifle glinted from the tall baige perch at the semi-far off target.

Kat moved her hand from her hat seeing something out of the concerned of her eye, she moved her hat away.. But despite her not being human. She looked fairly nice, The only weapon she had was a small pistol like gun at her side, but she made no move to get to it. She just remained sitting there, showing that she was no threat to the person.

Why is there a person here? Drew wasn't happy about this encounter, he had to choose between taking out a potential spy and/or runner or letting a possible person in the wrong place at the wrong time live. He decided to go up closer and find out. Drew tossed a rope that was coiled up over the edge of the tower, that was the only way on and off of it. Grabbing his black gloves and pulling them on, Drew grabbed onto the rope and slid down.

Once he touched the ground he let go of the rope and looked at the girl with a hand sheilding his eyes from the sun. He turned the rifle from his back to his front as he walked towards the bike and its rider. His baige pants, to blend in with the tower, and black shirt, to blend in with the shade, gave off dust when a slight breeze hit it, he had been in that tower for three days.

About half way to the girl, still a bit away, Drew minimized his zoom on his rifle's scope before bringing it up to a higher, more ready position. As a very skilled marksman, he would most likely be able to drop a person that tried someone at that distance.

Kat's ears twitched and she looked up, her brown eyes giving off a give glow when the light hit them " There no use trying to sneak up on a cat friend. I already knew you where here" she said, using friend as a way if saying she was not a threat.

From his distance Drew could barely hear anything said, just a noise in the distance. Then he got closer to her. He had ignored her words he couldn't hear and raised the rifle as he slowed his pace. "Name and business here," he demanded. His gloved fingers still fit enough to hover just over the trigger. He motioned with the bolt action rifle for her to step away from the bike.

Names Kathryn Cope,Kat for short" she said " Don't you be worrying you little head. my bike just ran out of water is all" she said looking at him

Drew peered over the gun at her and the bike, keeping steady aim. He didn't get the joke either. The boy, looking like someone in their teenage years physically, but far older mentaly, didn't move his rifle. He wasn't exactly sure wether or not to believe her, he certainately didn't trust her. He just needed one answer, should he shoot her?

Kat sighed and moved away from him and the bike " try it yourself if you don't beleave me" he said in a bit of an annoyed tone.

The bun lowered as the voices picked up. "Don't get testy. You're in Resistance look-out territory." The gun hung at his side, his hands falling to hush sides where his pistol and knife rested. "Water all you need? Why are you out here?" Drew didn't normally talk this much and he wasn't all too comfortable with it.

" Water and food... and why im out here? eh i really don't got no place to go" she said her slight brittish accent could be heard in the last sentience

"That it?" Inquired the youth. He obviously wasn't too big on talking. His eyes went from the girl to the bike back to the girl. He really wasn't sure what to do. If she was imperial he would shoot her, if she was resistance he would direct her to a friendly town. She seemed to be neutral as far as Drew could tell.

" that and people dont trust me.. they say we cats are dangerous" she said sighing a little " im not dangerous"

Drew tilted his head in confusion. "Food and water," he repeated, "that it?" The boy heard what she said, but didn't know what to make of it. He didn't know if he should believe her or not. He didn't know if he should believe her or not.

" thats all i need" She said " then i'll be out of your hair" she said.

Drew bit his lip in thought as he decided what to do. He looked her up and down and decided threat level was at a minimum. "Follow me up," he said. Without waiting he turned and started walking back up to his tower hideout. His ears were at the ready, though. Despite not seeing her, he would be able to hear if she pulled a weapon and hopefully dodge a bullet, quite literally.

Kat followed him leaveing her stuff other than her hat and goggles behind. she stay quite as she followed him

Drew walked wordlessly to the rope dangling from the tower's ledge. He stopped by it and looked back at the follower. "Follow me up." With that, he grabbed the rope with his black, gloved hands and clipped it to his waist, then he began climbing. Drew was used to this, he'd been out at this tower for a little while now and had developed a temporary skill for it.

Kat followed him up quickly and easly " how can you stand to be up here?" she asked

Drew shrugged as he walked across the dusty wooden floorboards. Planks laid across a gap that once contained the stairs to the bottom. A bed roll was to the left, with backs just above it. Some small ammo and utility crates sat across the platform. The wooden overhang gave just enough protection from the heat to keep one from frying. "It's not that bad." This may have been an understatement for some, but Drew didn't really care, or he just never showed it, he didn't really talk so nobody knew, except his sister that is. "How far are you going?"
