Kat yawned " alright" She said as she moved the sit down " im sleepy anyway" she said her ears twiching slightly.
He nodded without turning around as he finished packing up the things he wouldn't need. He moved a metal lantern looking item from the side of the tower and put it in the middle. "Don't touch that," he warned her. He would need it later in the night. It was only four in the evening so he also sat back, opposite of the girl. His eyes looked to her ears when they twitched, studying them.
Kat subconsciously starting licking the fur on her arm, but stopped after a moment and shook her head" Ick.. i hate it when my fur gets dirty" she said her tail tip moving slightly in annoyance
Drew heard her but didn't say a word. He fell silent as he inspected the girl. He looked down at his own arm, his lighly tanned skinned even darker from the dirt caked onto it. He had no way of cleaning himself out there. After a second he looked back at her. Although he didn't realise it, he was staring.
(( i read the wrong post sorry about that ))
Kat blinked " Do i have something in my fur?" she asked him her ear twitched again

The youthful male shook his head quickly and turned to rummage through his sack, not really looking for anything in particular. He didn't actually know what to do with company here, let alone one of this nature. He had seen weirder things, true, but he hadn't met another being not human, only heard reference to them.
"i take it you have never seen anyone of my Kind before" she said " We normaly try to avoid humans.. but as i said im not like the others.." she said laughing softly
The youth shook his head. "W-what are you?" Despite his slightly hardened appearance, he was not the best speaker, especially when not understanding something. Of course, under pressure he was always fine, that and the occasion when he found comfort in whatever speaking needed to be done, but for the most part he really hated speaking.
"Well.. i have never been grate at saying the name of my race, but the meaning is Cat person" she said with a soft laugh.
"Oh..." Drew looked over the cat person before him. After an awkward silence he spoke again. "It's late. You should sleep. I'll take first watch." This was not true however, for he would not wake up the girl at all. He would stay up the whole of the night and watch out for danger, and watch out for her.
alright" Kat said as she curled up and pulled her tail over her nose. It did not take her long to fall asleep.
In the wee hours of the morning Drew woke up the cat-girl by nudging her with the barrel of his rifle. Although he was fully awake, he had not slept at all that night and now the first rays of sun were about to climb into existence. For now, however, an eerie grey light was on the land, the kind that comes in the morning between night and day.
Kat yawned and streached a little and looked up at him " is it my turn to keep watch?" she asked
Drew shook his head. "Time to move out. Time is oh-five-hundred." He backed off with the rifle and flipped the scope off, the little magnifying lenses flipping to the side one by one. He carried a small pack on his back for simple supplies, leaving the rest of it here for when he came back. "Ready to move?"
she nodded " yeah im ready" she said getting up and stretched her arms a little
"Good, let's go." Drew cast the rope over the side of the tower wall but didn't go down it. Instead, he dropped through a hole in the floor into the previous level. There were three more to go until he reached the bottom, and no way to get up from them. He waited wordlessly for the cat-girl to follow.
Kat followed after him quickly and quietly.
The youth continued down the other levels and made his way out of the stone entryway, brushing dust off of himself as he exited. He looked behind him to make sure the other person was still there before continuing. Drew didn't mind quietness and the absence of entertainment, but he was not so sure how well this companion would take the long, boring walk out of the corner of this little wasteland.
Kat continued to follow " can we take my bike or do we have to leave it?" she asked
Drew stopped in his tracks and sighed. How on earth did he forget about her bike? He turned and nodded to her, walking back the way they had just come, past the tower, and towards where the bike was left the night before. The distance would take a few minutes to cover, but he figured this thing would be able to get them there if the girl had the water still. "You bring the water I gave?" Drew asked. Although he could, he didn't really feel like climbing back up the tower to retrieve it.
