Wrong place. I'm not letting myself sleep here", he said then opened a portal to the blood dragons, "let's go do that spell now. I want things done quickly"

" I did say she has not slept in a long while. She may even fear sleep" Averin said following him through the second portal.

The ice had spread a little further away from the heart now. Its rapid spread only confirmed the time frame given. "Well, well. Look whose returned sooner than I expected" Glimmers of light shifted through the darkness, circling a few times then fading away.

The ghost looked around hoping to find the dragon. " Enough, Vaulkar! He has a spell to save her but seems to need a place to sleep. Her 'room' is unfit"

" That's obvious. Did anyone bother to tell the fool boy she has no room!?" Vaulkar's face appeared before them instantly. Mischief showed in his grin before he vanished again. " He could sleep in the library and get the same results"

" VAULKAR!" Averin's voice rang through the darkness.

" Right, the boy loves straight answers...so dull. Now is obviously no time for that promised fun" He patted Shinigami's head with a finger before sliding back into view. " You should sleep in her realm. THAT would be her true room. It's there that she rests and regains her power"

Auctually I was going to perform the spell first before sleeping", he said as mana began to gather around him softly, "the heart please. Oh averin, make sure no one come near. Same for you Tobi", he said as yhe guardians appeared and Tobi possessed it and stood tall, "and attack anyone that touches me. Ok vodka, the heart please. I need to perform a spell to make her fully immortal and I need the heart for that"

" Immortal? I must see this" Vaulkar stated as he stepped aside to reveal the heart. He reach out with caution to take it between his claws and moved it closer. The ice ring followed the heart.
" It seems we are ready" Averin stated.

Ok back away", he said as the mana increased immensely and began to have a rough behaivior. He took the heart and created some space alone. The guardians stuuronded him from a dostance and kept watch.

The mana came together and and formed the circle around the heart. The circle was bigger, the same size as him. He looked at it and kept making changes to it. Once he's was done another circle same as the first appeared behind him and both turned green. The circles shrunk and became invisible, "it's done", he said looking to averin. His eyes were darker and in the middle was a black pupil like a cat which seemed to swallow the black I his eyes like a blackhole, "ha, you really look instresting averin" he said then looked around, "rather rude of your friends not to come out to greet don't you think"

The darkness hid Vaulkar when he stepped back. The glow of his eyes revealing where he was. The spell appeared far too simple for what it was but he knew more than most that it was the end result that mattered. When it was done he stepped forward.

" You can see me?" Averin lowered his head to Shinigami, looking over him with curiosity and wonder. Once he noticed the cat eyes he smiled. " You gained her ability to see spirits? How do you perceive me?"

" To gain her eyes!?" Vaulkar laughed as he began to circle them. " You bound yourself to her? Is the immortality real then and does it work both ways? I can't wait to find out" He reached out with claws threatening to do harm. From the shadows a melody of laughter erupted. A female voice spoke now. " We can all figure that out"

The owner of the voice strode out with an aire of grace an elegance. She was a darker shade of red than Vaulkar was. " You call us rude? How rude of you to not bring your friends"

Seriously you guys both piss me off", he said as he made a small stab to the heart, "I don't need her ability to see souls. Remember I told you. Soul magic is my specialty", he said looking at the heart and watched it diapered into mana then the mana came back together and built itself back up into its former healthy form, "she's sensitive, that was enough to kill her", he said grabbing his chest, "ha, I still need to modify it i see", he said then looked at the new comer, "a female now, rather boring", he said with a blank face as the heart beating was heard, "glad it works. I didn't know what would have happened if one pin were to fall on the ground"

Vaulkar smirked at the ghost. Suspicions of blood and spirit proving right. " Best to be suspicious"
No reply came from Averin. Last he knew only Kuroi could see him. Soul magic was never used for such things around him. He looked towards the heart when it was dispersed and healed. " Indeed, she is sensitive. She must recover her blood now"

The new blood dragon scoffed then rushed back into the shadows with the insult. "Boring? So much for wanting to see the rest" Vaulkar on the other hand payed heed to Shinigami's response. " The fun of tiny flaws. You were successful and that was good enough" His tail curled around the heart as he turned to retreat into the darkness. Whispers of the rest of the kin could be heard.

Wait don't leave yet. I wanted to see your kin so I can examine them", he said looking around. His eyes had turned back to normal then he looked around to check on Yuuma, "don't feel suspicious, I don't even know how to control the eyes. They appear when I focus on soul magic which I rarely use", he said then turned around, " too bad, I was hoping to show them the new spell that could beat them"

" So...they are a gift from the magic then?" Averin lifted his head once more. The whispers sounded more numerous than the room might hold. He stared into the void and tried to count the voices. " I shall leave these dragons to you. Now I must find that book for you"

Before Averin could leave, the blood dragon stopped in his tracks and look over his shoulder. His tail was still curled around the heart. " Examine us? To find more ways to kill us you mean" Despite the grin, a malicious light showed in his eyes.

" He enjoys dragons. I doubt his intend is as cruel as you think"A cool wind filled the room when Averin left. Vaulkar called out before they faded. " Send his friends then! I want this fight to be entertaining" His gaze was focused on Shinigami as he circled round the heart. " Since your curious about my kind..." As soon as he tapped the heart the darkness peeled away to craft what looked to be another world.

Hundreds of blood dragons stood among elegant white buildings. Blood was the water here flowing through fountains, pools, and even rivers to feed trees of bone. The magic these dragons held prevented the place from being a mess.

Dragons young and old played with the blood to create new creatures and races. Some even traded vials of they had collected from various species. Their color denoted their age with the young ones being a bright red and the old ones looking black or brown. Vaulkar stood proud as he looked over his kin. " You will face them here" All turned to face them when he let out a roar.

Yeah you know I can just turn the blood to stone and break it and be done with it", he said giving him a blank face then looked around, "how are they born, like my brain would itch if I start thinking about it. Oh those buildings. How do you build them. Also I'm confused is everyone trying to kill me or am I here to be friends"

He growled in response to the statement. " You will be foe if you turn this place to stone. Killing us would mean severe consequences for all living things. If you want friends then explore your curiosities together. Provide a little blood to one or more and you will have loyal allies"

With the flick of his tail two young ones, just bigger than a horse, flowed over to Shinigami. They appeared to merge and weave together while they shifted his hair and made mental notes of his build. " Hey! Curiosity through questions..." The two recoiled at Vaulkar's voice and sat down in front of Shinigami. A third, which Vaulkar nudged, joined the two.

" I'm sure your brain would itch. They are born however we want them to be" Chuckling he raised his hand over the center dragonling. " This one hatched from an egg as most dragons do" Next he pointed the one on the left. " This guy was born from one of the blood fountains. I won't go into details. And this gal here" He said motioning to the last. " Was born from a bone tree that two had grown on their blood alone. There are many more but we all have curiosities to sate"

He turned to buildings now. Some were more elegant than others. " Many of these buildings were grown with magic. Others we carved out of fine materials" A hand was raised to point out blood rubies embedded at the top of a building.

It us truly fasinating, also don't try to trick me into giving you the drop of blood. Kuroi asked you to get it didn't she", he said writing down on his notebook, "ok then, gender and wait where's tobi", he said looking around then saw the guardians waving to him, "good, so are you the only species that live in blood. If frozen can you move. And I wouldn't turn you guys blood to solid unless you attack me. I might not even do that cause it might hurt the others. Well I know the luminaries will"

" Trick you?" He said with a smile. " Blood is a currency here and blood from rare specimens is more valuable than diamonds. Kuroi asked nothing of the sort " Two of the dragonlings were nudged aside with his tail. They got up and sat in new locations to surround Shinigami.

One of the young ones tipped their head sideways. " Why would ask about gender? It's clear what we are" Vaulkar's hand fell upon the dragonling to splat him into a puddle. " You know better than that with what we do" When he removed his hand the young dragon reformed as though nothing happened.

" Yes, we are the only species that live in blood. Exceptions are beasts we may create" He looked over his shoulder into the town. A dragon with blood vials carried at their side was beckoned over. " We can't move when frozen but it won't kill us. Fire will kill us though" He glared at the ring that held Rage.

The one dragon stepped up to Vaulkar's side and tapped his shoulder. " You need something my lord?" A pleasant distraction from memories of Rage, he smiled and nodded. " Yes, I need the blood of the glacier dragons and lava striders" The vials were handed to him which he then gave to two of the young ones.

" A lesson for both you and these two" He said to Shinigami then nodded to the youth. They opened the bottles and dripped a little on a hand. The drop of glacier blood froze the hand and crept up the arm but the drop of strider blood lit the poor dragonling like gas. Vaulkar quickly put out the flames but the damage was done.

" Now, use the blood as I taught you before" Tears in their eyes, they nodded. The blood flowed from the vials and into their bodies. Their recovery abilities took over to heal the wounds as Vaulkar nodded in approval. " We are aware of the luminaries cruelty. Try to freeze the one and burn the other now. I think you will like the results"

For some reason minor really intrested", he said lowering his head and looked up, "I know. But I still want to know what happens", he said looking at them

The one that got burned flexed his fingers then smiled. " We can build elemental resistances. I won't burn so fast next time and they will be harder to freeze" He said pointing to the other.

Vaulkar nodded once. " What they don't know is that we can give resistances to others. A resistance can be made with any element" He looked to the side and stared into the distance. " Immunities have yet to be formed. I will be the first"

So you can become resistant to things. Nice", he said writing down then looked around, "you know what, later. In too tired to think much. Also no I'm not bringing my friends over. You guys don't know how to hold back", he said standing up and putting the book away

" A shame. The fun that would have been had...I'll just have to..." He looked up as his voice trailed off. Thought held his focus until he snapped his tail like a whip. The young ones scattered while the darkness devoured everything once more. " You still need a place to sleep and her realm can't be opened without the key"

I see. Well thanks for your time". He said opening a portal, "I will just make space in my room then", he said then went in. He took a few steps then flew to the floor

Draining, you know what to do Tobi just don't hurt anyone", he said dozing off then Tobi picked him up and put him in the bed without worry. The two guardians finally disappeared.

He smirked as he watched him vanish through the portal. " Fool boy didn't ask what it was..." A vial of purplish blood was tossed into the air and caught before he vanished.

Wherever he might find himself in the dreams; Kuroi was in the clouds. She weaved in and out of the many floating islands. Below a world stretched out with its wonders. Beasts could be heard or known by the swaying of trees. Only falls, flowing over mana lines, connected the earth and sky.

Kuroi's dark form was a stark contrast to the pearlescent that she danced in. Eventually she flew in an tight curve only to vanish in a thick forest.
