his body began to gather mana over like before trying to replenish what he had lost. The mana started out slow and gentle then made their way rough.

Within the forest she found a secret that opened new questions. The answers it did give revealed why one succeeded so far and the other trailed. A brand that set all in motion and pulled the strings.

Beyond the dreams, Nasr dug into dark books. Within the stack was the one Shinigami had asked for. Chaos ensued when Averin found him resulting in a game with the book being passed back and forth with Pavol. What could be in those pages that drove him to cling to the book?

Rage took the moment to try to slip out. He came out and looked around to strike. Shinigami opened his eyes and the moment and gave him a look that showed death. Rage went back in and shinigami went back to sleep.

This time he was in the dream trying to connect to kuroi, "so questions need asking", he said as he looked through a forest till he found her

When she heard him she looked away from the wall that she was studying. " Yes, this wall holds answers yet the pictures are cryptic" She turned back to the wall and stepped aside so he could see.

Some of the images were scratched out. What was visible revealed a small sun feeding off a large sun and moon. It seemed to feed off a third but whatever it was had been removed. Each had a world circling them but the small sun held many. In the space around them were beasts of all kinds.
One resembled a valravn, bound, blinded, and marked with a burning sun. It too was being devoured by the small sun though it held it in it's talons. The valravn sought to eat the small sun but a chain was forcing it's head towards the moon. Its free hand tore at the neck of a massive dragon.
This dragon took up much of the mural and was also defaced. The brand of a moon was on it but it held four wings. 2 were black, and 2 were white. In the hand that was visible was a scroll whose writings were poured out to the worlds around the large sun and moon.

Fragments between the clawed out portions suggested much more was to this tale. " It's obvious who those two are" She said pointing to dragon and Valravn. " This sun I believe is the grand master we are looking for but...that doesn't make sense" Vines covering more of the wall were torn away with her tail. More images were revealed that he could look over but so much was destroyed.

I understand", he said walking over to the wall, "shouldn't you be resting. Anyway, you believe this to be the future don't you", he said taped her, "one sun one moon and a smaller sun. Sounds like your family history. But why are a sun. Also where's the missing part. We are alone"

" I didn't realize I had to rest in my dreams" She chuckled and sat down. " I do believe it's the future" Her eyes darted to and fro, fishing for more pieces to the puzzle. Through the claw marks a fragment suggesting the war was seen. "Useless..." She sighed as she returned to the sun.

" If it's truly my family history then I can't explain the sun. It doesn't suit me and I have no siblings that I know of..." Her gaze turned down to the missing one. The thought of what it could be sent chills through her. " The other islands here may have walls. Whoever did this is sure to have defaced them too. Ruins scattered across might hold the answer of what is missing"

The silence beyond the beasts held her mind like a vice. It's sweet song long forgotten since she had met the boys. " Yuuma recently woke so we are alone...unless" She looked towards the sun, a gleaming eye blinded only by the elements. " Could we be watched even now?"

Oh yes we are being watched don't let anything make you think otherwise. Hey you promised to change forms", he said looking at her then at the wall, "looking at this is making me angry", he said as a beam of light cut it in half, "Better. Let's go to that lake"

" Of course. If we weren't being watched then I never would have..." She shook her head and looked back down in time for a few wall pieces to hit her in the face. Dragon scale kept her from harm. A smile showed when she opened her again. " Whoever marked the wall will be pleased. Anyway I'll change when we get to the lake. Would you like a ride?" She rested her head on the ground by the split wall.

Yes", he sad getting on her back, "we might find someone with goods info we could use. That's how we found you remember. Although you didn't really make your presence know or make it easy to find you. Yeah I think we went to you with the mind to destroy the castle", he said rubbing his chin, "oh what about the shy girl"

She stood and walked through the forest. To keep him from getting hit she used her wings and tail to shove the needled branches aside. " Indeed, I have needed to stay hidden. You know why by now"

A curtain of light blinded her when she stepped from the forest's edge. Even so she continued until her toes curled around the edge of the island. " Eclipse? We can see her. She is a tribal girl but her gift of time may have given her some insight"

She looked back with a smirk. " Hang on tight" Her toes straighted out as she tipped forward, diving into a freefall. The land below rushed towards them. When the leaves and needles of the branches were visible she opened her wings to soar over them.

You did the dramatic jump to show off didn't you", he said looking don't below as he held on to her horn with one hand, "I should cut my hair shorter", he said thinking out loud then went nah to the subject, "what's her power. I might be able to show her to the clan. If one can take care of her then her species won't die."

" No, I did that because it's fun. Flying is so exhilarating!" She weaved through a series of waterfalls like a pole bending event before rolling through the last. There was so much freedom the sky offered. " Maybe I did show off...a little" Her flying stabilized into a smooth glide when she smiled.

Her mind turned to Eclipse now. Such a rarity to be missed by the Luminaries. " She's the same race as Yuuma, night is her power alongside time."

I'm pretty sure some of my kind would be able to teach her how to use the power", he said as he began to scratch his head, "I'm not the strongest after all. Some grab thugs thight", he said then stood up then looked down.

Imagine seeing something forever without being able to die. Most won't but I'm scratching to get a tip of that", he said looking around, "if one doesn't die, then we all can come together and prove our existence once again. We are loved by mana and we are gifted by it. Wether it be a mistake or not, we all get to live together and pass on", he said

" She would grow powerful learning from your kin" Kuroi turned, tipping so slight to keep him up. The landscape changed from thick forests to jagged canyons and crevasses. Pteradragons flew among the stone spires; their bright colors turning the canyon to a painting. Ahead the crystal forests were a colorful haze. " Though you're not the strongest, you have proven a threat to the powers that be"

The image he painted of immortality polished her view as a gleaming gem once more. A tangible passion for it that she had long forgotten. Eternity was familiar to her. Time was irrelevant and her soul had been filled with pain and wonder in equal shares. Yet hers was a hollow existence and his words revealed why.

" How blessed you are to have others. Pride and selfishness do not drive you in your pursuit of immortality. You shall obtain it of that I am sure. I am curious though....you say to prove your existence...are your kin..." The question failed to form and she stared into the distance. Was it one question or many?
Thoughts drowned out the questions trying to form. Mana, it seemed, was the very core of what he was which placed new weight on the situation. " What would become of your kind should all mana be tainted or destroyed?"

What?" He asked looking down at her, "so who was the guy that asked for immortality then left", he asked

She shifted her eyes in his direction then focused forward again. Could she find what she wanted to ask, only the last suck. " If all mana was corrupted what would happen to you and your kin?"

The canyon soon faded away. From the air the crystal forest looked more like a treasure hoard. Thoughts returned to the one she once fought by. " He was my friend. A human who could actually cast magic. Never saw him again" She began to glide closer to the trees.

Oh I'm human. So that's why you were giving me the test. Don't worry if I run, you can always find me", he said patting her head looking around, "well it's not like the first person lived with mana. We can still survive. Even if the world turns dark. We will light it up again", he said looking down to her, "and we got you her. As long you're alive then it's prove that there's still light"

She smiled, taking comfort in what he said. " It wouldn't be the same without your guardians. I shall strive to live and protect that mana"

The lake came into view but she landed in the clearing behind the lake. " Eclipse? Are you here?" She walked around the large crystals and listened. Nothing. " I can call her here" Turning towards the crystals, she placed her against them and sent magic through. A subtle song, similar to a tuning fork, rose from them.

Few minutes past, shimmers of light shifted through the trees until the young dragon stepped forward. " Training so soon? I-is something-oh!" Eclipse stopped when she saw Shinigami. " Um...h-hello again"

Hello again shy girl", he said jumping from kuroi over to her, "you really have beautiful horns", he said landing on her head , "you should meet Yuuma. She's shy too, well are puns women. He acts normal around kuroi though", he said then brought out his notebook, "you look the same as we last saw you"

"T-thank you..." She said with a sheepish smile and leveled her head with her shoulders. " Y-you don't...appear a-any different...I-I-mean...Who's Yuuma?" The pale markings on her face became dark.

Kuroi chuckled and sat by the girl. " It's ok, Eclipse. Yuuma is another like you and the one on your head is ShinigamI. He has an idea to help you and a few questions"

" H-help? He does seem nice..." Eclipse lifted her head in an attempt to see him. " I'm not sure h-how but...thank you? What...what do you need answered?"
