Spirits sang and moaned through the air as he stared into the empty darkness. A smirk kept pulling at his mouth until he spoke. " Bring them to me and I shall give you the heart of a god"


His voice sang through the crystal mountain, raising every feather and strand of fur on Nasr. Kuroi jumped off his back just before he landed; bolting into a run after barely hitting the ground.

" I do not need the reminder! Now stop..." He reverted to his human-ish form and knelt down. " The scent it strongest here but it is solid crystal"

She slid to a stop and looked over the area. Eventually a glimmer of light revealed an ancient mark magically embedded in the side. Though unfamiliar with it, Kuroi knew how to activate the key. She was about to bite her thumb but stopped and glared.

" DAMNIT!!" A wave of mana washed over the mountain when she slammed her hands against it. Suddenly she fell into a dark abyss. Nasr quickly got up and peered into the new hole. " Not even a single stair..." He took his raven form and followed after her.



The god of death laughed and sat up again and pulled his chains taught once more. " Whose heart did you think I meant? I'm not siding with a woman who will imprison me for eternity! Hm?" He looked up when he heard someone yelling. " Seems we have company" Another soft seat was prepared.

When Kuroi was visible she figured out how to bring out Shinigami's wings and spread them wide. She circled them a few times, with Nasr following, before settling down in the empty seat. " I almost don't want to return your body" She said smiling at him. " but what's the pointing of keeping it when I shall lose you?"

" With noble blood the choice is mine, girl! You will marry to improve our status and blood not degrade it!" Darkness flowed from behind the throne towards her but was stopped with the light of the stone. She glared as the spell was activated.

" Stubborn child..." A draconic form shimmered over the god briefly. When the magic calmed down, he faced Shinigami again. " The demons are Solarium's children alone. Born from her blood not of the womb. This Averin though, no. I was chained down here long before Kuroi was born"

Having regained his human form, Nasr looked at all them before finding sighing. " This is intense. No, I uh...just got her out of the dreams. They are demons. Should be fine"

He chuckled and addressed the boys in turn. " Get me out of here and I shall resurrect an ancient jewel of a ship. I am eager to see what you believe is worthy to me" He then turned towards Nasr and grinned. " Solarium's heart"

You're not the only gods in the room", he said as Tobi picked him up and draged him towards Nasr, "wow tobi is pissed. Oh hey Nasr. You guys planed a way to exit the giant bad guy castle didn't you?"

" Bad guy castle...You're under a key!" Kuroi stood up and looked over her shoulder to see the god of death glaring. A fog with gaunt hands reaching from it crawled towards them. " Anyway, the answer is yes. Now move!" She said then launched into the air.

" Who will kill us first? Tobi or our girls?" Nasr said as he took his raven form and followed Kuroi up.

Silver chains burst from the darkness along with shrieking spirits. " If you won't free me, then stay away from her!"

Stay away from her. I thought you knew the human called shinigami better than that", he said as Tobi draged him along with the blade, "I will see you later. Then we can have a good chat. Just tell me when"

The roar of a dragon filled the place as he stood. " You shall know..." A flash of silver was seen then a dragon of fog and spirits burst forth; rushing towards him at great speed.


By now Kuroi was waiting outside and Nasr reverted his form. " He should be here. Why didn't you grab him?" He as while looking back at the hole.

" Even you know that answer since you returned empty handed" She said.

" Ok, ok. You got me there"

Hmmm. Well should I leave....lets make a deal. If I stay, you keep away from kuroi band let her live her life. Auctually you wouldn't agree to that so might as well escape", he said as Tobi paused for a while then began taking him back up

An icy blast flew from the entrance. "You cur!" Kuroi looked back inside with the hopes of seeing what occurred.

" He is good at angering your parents." Nasr said as he stepped closer. " How are you two going live good lives with them breathing down your necks"

" No one said this is over...I think I see him" She stepped away from the entrance and rested a hand on the key.

oh tobi thank you", he said as Toni took him through the portal, "so now we just fix up kuroi body and we switch back." He said as Toni dropped him down, " by the way are we still on the dream world I do he is going to find us quicker than you can count"

With him freed, Kuroi put the mana from her spirit into the key to seal it shut. " No, we're not in the dream realm unless somebody pulled a fast one on us while we were in there"

" Dreams...I will tend to that problem when we get back. Which side are we watching now? Death before us and the sun at our backs" Nasr looked up then towards Shinigami. " Either way, everything seems focused around you and Kuroi now"

" My real father...is death and my mother..." She muttered and sauntered past the boys with her head down. " There is still that tournament your mother spoke of. My parents may use that in some way..." Her thoughts swayed as she opened another portal to her castle. " What is going on...he wants her dead...Shinigami's unworthy for what? ...No...just...It won't be hard to restore my body"

He stared blankly at her and watched as she vanished through the portal. " Did that make any sense?"

I dont know, just let her mubble it all out", he said following through the portal

Lisa sensed the change and began back going back to the castle

He trailed behind them; pausing just before the portal to look back. A dark object floated in the sky beyond the key. With a shrug he passed through the portal. " See you two later" He waved as he walked off.

" Right..." She replied. Standing before her own body felt strange. More so while she was in his body. " Reaper's diamond. He intended to take my body after finding a 'worthy' suitor" She scoffed then turned to face Shinigami. " This will be quick. I would hate for your body to hit the ground. Ready?"

She raised her hand to her true forehead when she heard Lisa. " Home? But this castle is..." Or was it to be her home no longer? As that thought sank in, she found whatever anger she held towards him was now eating at her own heart. She should have known him better yet here the sour past left unjust blazes to burn. "Time to let go" She thought.

Her gaze shifted between Lisa and her crystallized body a few times. " Hold on. A statue is no life for him" Once she touched her forehead, a blueish glow flowed through the diamond in response to her spirit. Warmth returned and her body was restored.

Oh lisa is back. Another time lisa" he said feeling himswlf to be sure everything was a!right

" That obvious?" She said. A smile showed as she watched him. " Such a waste to dump my struggles on you when you're having fun. I'm tempted to take Nasr's idea. Let you keep my body for a day" A glance was tossed towards Lisa. Perhaps the greatest risk she was aware of was her and Tobi.
