"I need to get my own fears in check..." She thought while hiding her face. The knot in her stomach tightened at the fact both heard her outburst. Why was it always so damn hard to face his family? Perhaps that was the problem. They were to be her family too, especially now, right?

No need? That was concerning with what Vaulkar had said. " She can smell that trouble from miles away..." Would it be worth it to step from her hiding place? Perhaps it would be best to listen a little longer and see why she said that...or would she explain? Then again, being by him offered comfort and it was time she stopped avoiding his family.

She sighed and dropped her hands before stepping back out. He had given her the perfect excuse, provided Tobi didn't shatter it. She stopped near him but kept some distance lest Tobi toss her again.

Oh. Hello”, Elena said looking at her, “yep. Definitely now”

Her response confirmed what Yuyami said but Kuroi still wondered if he was the one who set it motion. Perhaps the greatest puzzle now lay in her other words. Facility? Just appear? What was going on? Setting that aside...did she just refer to him as...father?

Before she could ask anything though, she heard Elena's question. " You can thank my brother for that. It's temporary"

For some reason it grated on her nerves that Elena was so illusive. Was it because of her brother? Other intentions...what would she know of him? Then again, the blood he brought....to hide her...and serious trouble. She couldn't deny it looked too perfect.

A fierce glare was turned towards Tobi's voice now. " Run!? He needs rest after all the energy he just spent!" She reached out to him, ready to take his hand and bring him back inside.

Oh trust me he has enough”, he said as shinigami disapoeared. She followed and explosions could be heard later

She clenched her fists and growled when she heard the explosions. It was miracle he had any energy with how ruthless Tobi was and amazing he had fun at all. A step was taken forward but a hand grabbed her wrist and pulled her back. " You know that's stupid for many reasons" Vaulkar said.

" I can't just let him take the beating for something we both did! Shadow and his big mouth..." She fought against his hold for a moment then sighed with a smile. That big mouth earned them something amazing and she felt like they could understand eachother better there.

His hold was loosened when she relaxed. " There now. Your punishment comes from the months to follow. He will deny you the right to fight; something that will drive you mad. His mother called it out blatantly"

" He didn't flinch. She's known to joke like that and he knows it " She said while staring into the forest.

" And you know she's not because of Yuyami. You don't need Averin to lock you away when early knowledge is handed to you" A toothy grin stretched across his face when he noted the lack of a ring on her finger. How fitting for two who enjoyed their games. " Tobi might tell him...or leave it for you to announce" He replied with a chuckle. " That alone might take some nerve. Take your time but don't leave him hanging. For now, be a good mother and prepare for your new family" Her back was patted as he pointed to the shed where meat needed to be finished.

Hmm you mind explains why the punishment”, he asked jumping from a tree

Not punishment training”, tobi replied as diamonds rained down on him. He dodged

Oh. I’m already healthy no need..”, he was saying as tobi appeared behind him and knocked him down, “but you’re not a hundred percent”

He landed face down

They needed to eat but something told her that the worse of her mother and sister were about to be seen. She needed to train in this weakened form, needed to become as a shapeshifter again, needed to...a nod was given as she sighed. It was time to just do what she enjoyed in the calm moments and make sure he had comforts.




Since the weird dream of challenging so many Nyctorans, Nasr had been flying about trying to find everyone. While there was no luck yet, he had witnessed something that drove him to exhaustion.

Oh you’re the bird boy”, Elena voice said. She appeared from a portal waist up, “why are you here”




He stood up and kept on running. Tobi chases after him throw rocks of diamonds.

He fell backwards at her sudden appearance. Once he regained himself, he glanced over her. " Did not expect to see you again. I am here because...wait, why does it matter why I am here? You know me, I am friends with Shinigami...are you guarding something?" A cheeky grin appeared but he sighed and slumped forward. " ...I need a rest..."

She slapped him awake, “wake up I don’t have time for games”, she said holding him up with a hand, “what’s so intresting here”

" Oww...geez. You are cranky..." He said rubbing his cheeks. " I am trying to find them because Solarium just killed one of the gods who support Kuroi. Their essence was put in a container or crystal...it was too bright. She tried to kill Darcia, the human who is supposed to serve her but he got away. It got crazy after that"

I see. Then take him”, he said pulling darcis out of a portal, “keep flying you will get to them. No matter what keep flying and don’t change directions”, he said then disappeared

Both stared at eachother for a brief moment. " What just-"

" I think you know" Nasr replied as he took his griffin form. Darcia was placed on his back. " Just hang on tight and we'll find them" As weary as his wings were, he still managed to find some speed.





A long day was spend preparing meat and considering when and how to let Shinigami know of the situation. Despite that, she continued to count the hours he was gone. How tired would he be when he returned? Hopefully he would have enough energy to eat the meal she was preparing.

A sense of foreboding loomed over her like a shadow though. Every curtain was kept shut in the house and strange sounds where checked out. "We really pissed her off" A smile showed with the thought. In many ways she was greatful human blood flowed through her but if Yuyami showed his face now, she would be sure to wring his neck.

Nasr body was taken to shinigami manually without him noticing.


Shinigami took to the sky

You’re weak in they sky”, tobi said

But who has beaten me?”, he said as diamonds appeared around him. He attacked them destroying them all and got into a fist fight with tobi.

His ears perked up at a sound similar to glass shattering. As a griffin, Nasr's hearing was better than most allowing him to hone in on the sound of falling shards. The sight that greeted the two when they reached the place left them staring. " Only one rodent fights like that..." Nasr said. His quivering wings continued to keep him the air.

" You brought me to this guy?" Darcia grumbled.

" Yes, this guy. Can you think of a better ally against Solarium?"

The human look at the setting sun. It's fire made the diamond mountains glow like magma. " Ally is too strong a word. He would agree we both would rather put a blade in the other"

" I thought I had issues..." Nasr flipped his ears back now.

Tobi grew in size. Her body was all black and her roar made the winds blow hard.

Shinigami was up from the ground

The winds were too much on Nasr's tired body and blasted him into a tree. He couldn't tell if the crack he heard was the tree, Darcia, or himself. His human-ish form returned when he fell to the ground. " Ahhh...I am going to take a nap right here..." If he could, Nasr would have melted into a bird puddle.

" Get up!" Darcia shoved him aside and got to his feet and eyed Tobi. Dark clouds came in on the powerful winds she called, hiding the last of the sunlight. " He's first when she finds him" Darkness gathered at his fingertip when he pointed to Shinigami but shifted it so the shot barely missed his nose; hitting a tree instead.

The crack got Nasr to jump back awake. " What did I miss?" He shouted on instinct.
