Nasr started counting down the seconds on his fingers. As the count dropped he looked towards the hill. His last finger stretched out in time for the tower to shatter into a glittering rain. The dark wave that stretched across the sky brought with it warm air.

Try being drag around. He watched the explosion, “oh yeah did anyone remember to take the boy’s mother. You know, we might still need her to get through the main guy”, he said looking ate them one after the other, “Hmm?”

“I didn’t count”, the man said looking at the explosion, “its ok, she will be fine, does her kind do well in explosions. Most likely not”

The boy stared at the hill with concern. " We might live....but the dark sun weakens us" A tiny whimper escaped his throat. The reality of what could be closing in on him.

Nasr looked over the crew before looking back up. " Yuuma was still up there. If anyone saved her it's him" He raised his hand to shade his face as the darkness faded from the sun.

“Ok, then”, he said then stood up to go into the bar, “let’s go get that drink”, he said then looked around, “the kid will have milk”

“What else will he have. Beer”, the man said laughing, “you guys can’t have any too”

" Unless she has more phoenix blood" He nudged Inei as he headed inside, laughing.

She shook her head at him. " I watched you change it, all I did was prevent you from turning it into poison" She glared at the boy who was following close at Nasr's heels.
" Aww but that was the point" He pouted like a puppy until and idea struck him. " Where DID you get it? Phoenix blood is supposed to make one immortal"

“Well they are being friendly”, he said going inside and went to the bar keep, “wow this place sure is different the last time i was here like, I say two hours ago you think”

The Kelpie recognized his voice and walked over. " Look who's returned." His eyes shifted across the larger group. " Stealin the tower like ya did changes much. Didn't think ya'd actually pull it off. So here to celebrate? What will ya have?"

Inei tucked herself back into the corner that they first saw her in.

Nasr helped the kid get up to a seat. The site of the silver haired boy put the Kelpie on edge.

“Oh the boy, we are looking for a a guardian. Best option isn’t the best”, he said then looked aroumd, “some cool drinks, milk for the boy”

The man came forward, “beer for me. If non then milk and honey with a lot of foam” , The man said then sat down, “tpyou sure thst you will take the boy”

“You, I cant leave him knowing that he has something that could swallow him. I will had him among the list of people I promise to save, he’s number three”, shinigami replied

“List, you’re going to have a hard life boy”, the man said

" Stole the boy from his parents? Not sure whether yer brave or stupid" He said as he turned to get them their drinks.

Pavol sat strait in his seat. " I think they're stupid! I almost-" Nasr bonked him in the head as he sat next to him. " Oww..."

" I didn't hit you that hard" Nasr sighed then turned his attention to the conversation. " May be a hard life but I believe it is worth helping others. I would say it's worth it to him too" He looked over at his friend now.

The Kelpie returned with drinks for everyone. He placed them before each one as he spoke. " A real hard life is if ya choose ta save the world"
Due to guests running when the tower was stolen, he still had some beer in stock for the man. Another unusual drink was placed before Nasr. It's deep crimson color and an unusual fleshy object skewered with a sharp bone made Nasr tip his head. " No Valra yet you know this drink?"

" Kelpies and Valra have long since been allies. Just cause yer rare now doesn't mean I don't know what ya like" He smirked before turning his attention back to his work

Oh yeah by the way we are underage”, he said to the man then looked at his drink, “this time for sure. Speaking of his parents, wheres yuuma”, he said looking around then looked back at the bartender, “say, how’s the next town. We will like to go there next. And can you do us a favor”

“Yes a big favor, you see, you never saw us”, the man said, “they never did either. And the tower was just gone. No more questions”

" WHAT!?" The Kelpie said slamming his hands on the table. " I knew ya looked too young. Why did I ever believe yer tale?"

Nasr chuckled as he raised his glass. " Because Shinigami is skilled at telling them and I am good at enforcing them" He took a drink then placed it back down with a satisfied grin. His feathers fluffed up in pure contentment " This drink isn't alcoholic but it is heavenly! Which tells me..." He looked up at the Kelpie now. " Inei is here because you adopted her"

The Kelpie waved his hand to dismiss the comment. " That's not important ya hear?" He sighed and dropped his head in defeat. So much was at risk now. " I'll be put out of buissiness for this....agreed I never saw y'all...now for the next city" He reached over and grabbed a sheet of paper. On it he sketched a map. " Yer gonna have ta pass through the Direnal Mountains. Rocs nest there so be careful"

Nasr looked towards the door. Where was Yuuma indeed? He couldn't have been killed

“No that’s too obvious, how about we go around the city to the one next to it then go to the city itself. And in our defense, o said we were cursed to look like this. We are still growing so we have to look like this for our age, I didn’t lie”

“He just didn’t tell the full truth”, the man said laughing

“Excalty, so I always have a free conseicnce when talking to you”, he said

“It’s a trick for those who don’t like lying, works almost all the time”, the man finished

The Kelpie rubbed his temples as he tried to make sense of everything. " Half truths? This is getting too tricky for this old horse..." He lowered his hand again and looked over all of them. " Ya got a pretty big group. Take the long way around the mountains. Y'all avoid being detected by the High Luminary" A new line was drawn on the map now. It would result in them backtracking a little.

Light washed over them as the door opened. Yuuma casually walked over and leaned forward to look at the map. " Good thing I got new mounts"

“Hey yuuma, how about we visit that lake of yours again for the briefing, and what took you si long. The woman looked too beautiful”, he said laughing then looked at the map, “we need to get them off our tails. It’s only the four of us so we are fine. Also, we need a base to come back too if things don’t go well, will the bar be able?”

Yuuma's face turned a bright shade of red as he staggered back. " W-what? No it wasn't her really!" He said his arms in denial. " A-as for that lake....maybe we should go to a...uh better place to sleep, hehe"

Nasr stood up and slung his arm around Yuuma's neck. " Careful there or you will make your nose bleed." He chuckled and kept him from running off.

The Kelpie smiled at their antics. The days of youth were truly to be treasured. " Ya did me a favor in getting rid of the cold. I believe I can help y'all out here" He looked towards to Inei who had been keeping quite so far. " Ya better be ready help them when they it girl"

Inei looked at him with a look of really. " I haven't been counting my feathers over here"

“I need to tell you, you have a lovely daughter, nasr here kept his eyes and mind in her the whole while”, he said then took a sip of his drink, “that’s good. So yuuma is the real yuuma”

“Inei, oh she’s taken”, the man said finishing his bear, “I found that out before going to the tower”

“Oh, then I guess I lost”, he said scratching his head then looked at the bar tender, “around the city we will go then, if something bad happens, ask her to get nasr, she will sniff him out, I think”

The Kelpie chuckled as he looked over at Inei. " She is lovely and fierce. Ya clearly have a good eye" He turned to look at Nasr. Humor was tucked within his serious look. " Like the man said, she is taken. Ya shouldn't test her patience"

Nasr chuckled nervously. " I wonder who stole her away?" He gave Shinigami a sarcastic grin. " Thanks for ratting me out"

Pavol finished what he was drinking before twisting his face in disgust. " Eew you like girls?"
Yuuma ducked to break free of Nasr's hold so he could head to the kid's side. " Just ignore them" He said with a smile. " They like picking on eachother"

" Well, best of luck ta y'all. I'll make sure she finds ya if things go sour" The Kelpie started to clean up the glasses that were empty.

Nasr perked up at the idea only to look at Inei. " Oh I will be tracked this time? A by a pretty girl no less"
She threw her dagger at him which sliced through some of his hair before jamming into the wall." You don't take a hint do you?"
He watched as the strands of hair fell to the ground. " Dangerous bird...."

“Always stay away from a girl that carries a dagger around”, the man said chuckling

“They’re still learning”, he sa8d watching Inei, “oh please don’t kill, I still need him alive for when I break his curse. Now to another issue, we have two longma but four people, someone has to fly”, he said looking at yuuma, “please”

" Yeah...I think I got it..." He started to slink his way to the door.
Inei lifted her hand and looked away. " Fine. You can have him"

Yuuma got a big grin with his request. " That's why I was gone so long. We have 3 longma now." He waved for them to follow as he walked to the door

“I haven’t finished my drink yet, I haven’t eaten in a week”, he said then took his drink outside with him, “Inei is paying”, he said then ran outside

The man stayed for a while then followed them outside.
