Understanding it's nature will allow you find its weakness and shatter it with little effort" The figure sang each time she deliberately poked it in a strong spot. Her claw finally struck a spot that made it shatter into glittering fragments.

The connections", he said as figures started appearing on the wall, "no the spells alone individual can put us at a disadvantage, then we cancel the source", he said as a large circle began to form, "fragments breaker, it will send a frequency able to distort the spell, leaving the energy unharmed. " You have multiple sources of magic in Nyctoria" She stated as she began to pace. " For the Luminaries the source of their magic comes from sunstones, the mana produced during the day, and their own spirits or dream forms"

Reaching up, her hand passed over many books before she pulled one out. " Be careful when canceling the spirit source. As the Valra will tell you, this can kill one...instantly" She paused and looked up from behind the pages. Behind her, she carved her own set of runes that would not effect what he was doing. Their shape was most unusual.

She nodded and looked towards the doorway. " Very well. Nasr, you may return and bring the board with you" The tail blade twisted to finish off another rune at her feet.

He peeked around the corner first, wondering why he needed to leave in the place. The creature followed at his heels when he walked towards them. He smirked at the sight of the runes. " The luminaries won't know what they stepped into"

Kuroi hold the board and Nasr protect yourself form the light", he said as light energy began to emit from him, "kuroi also make sure that brat rage os in line"

" Only a fool would document spells in stone" Kuroi said taking the board from Nasr. The runes at her feet filled with darkness when the last fragment was added. It spread out through the castle and faded away. He watched the magic flow out the door before placing the creature in the middle of Shinigami's circle. " I must agree...what did you just do with that magic.?"

Tossing the book into the air, Kuroi sat down and placed the board on the floor before her. The ghost caught the book and returned it to the shelf. " No need to worry about any of the demons this time" She said raising her wrists to her side. Shackles appeared on both wrists and her neck for a moment. Chains respective to each demon, bound her to the floor, placing her in the middle of a triangle. Point made, she let them fade from view. "I am ready, are you?" She looked up at the Valra with a smirk.

" Did you just...? " The magic in the castle stirred once more, reminding him that time was short. He faded away into the darkness and awaited the results.

Ready", he said start the spells again and they began their work, "kuroi check the board", he said as the magic cricle from the wall floated to his hand, "this should only work against the opponent. Ok then, let's see the results"

She looked down at the board. The greatest problem was there wasn't an opponent with only a single piece on the board. As she thought about this, she tapped the board with her finger. " Only one here fits our target...but I believe any with magic will do. Averin, bring Yuuma." The piece was slid across the board from the ghostly breeze causing the creature to partially follow.

We only need one subject", h said as the circle embraced on his hand and he smashed his hand to the spell, "brake" he said as the circle glowed and sent a frequency that dispersed the spells causing them waver and disperse, "ok, what does the board say. It shouldn't be lit a m fact"

The sound of chains, followed by the faint cries of the demons, echoed through the room after he cast the spell. "...It seems..." Her hand glided over the board and stopped at a white square in the middle. " It's very weak. What remains of the magic is fit for newborns. No threat at all"

" Why not just infuse that silver into chains?" Nasr's voice floated from among the shelves. " I mean, something else could be created using this magic"

Those guys are annoying kuroi put the three of them in one spot in the dream world, I'm dealing with them in one shot,", he said landing slowly

" They sense the weakened magic which is why they fight. They are tired of being bound and...used" The chains and shackles reappeared when she lifted her head. " The runes I drew before this, were a safeguard. There is no reason to fear retaliation. We can finish this and move on. Please, your work is astounding"

Nasr stepped from the shadows when the sound of the heartbeat drummed through his head once more. As he drew closer, the chain from Kuroi's left hand formed to attach to his wrist. Fear stirred inside, clawing at the seal and chains to no avail. A red glow leading to Shinigami caught Nasr's attention. Rage also stirred, but a sense of familiarity, 'old friend' could be felt.

Oh I'm done, I can modify the spells to stop their spell later but for now, please let's me pay them an old visit, those demons need to pay", he said face palming, "later for now, I'm hungry and need to sit", he said sitting down

" Very well. I shall have Averin prepare a meal for you." She got up and strode towards the hallway. " Until then, take all the time you need to rest"

The chains vanished when she turned down the hall. Nasr glared at his now free wrist. " Each chain represented a grand demon and I believe there is a shrine for each one hidden in this castle. We already saw Fear's shrine in the dreams"

Later later", he said reaching normal mode and looked arounf, "I need some rest no"he said laying on the floor, @also I'm letting rage play a little trap so tell kuroi"

" Play a trap?" Knowing how he was when tired, Nasr nodded before bolting out of the room. The place felt like an illusion when he found them empty. Taking his raven form, he ran a brutal gauntlet in search of Kuroi.

It felt like hours of searching and the more he explored, the more lost he became. The castle was full of hidden passageways, foreboding magic, and more. The wind sounded more like breath and the heartbeat was maddening in certain areas. "Is this place alive?" No sooner did he finish his thought that a rouge breeze blow him into a dark corridor. His tiny feathered body was swallowed up by a thick liquid. When he rose, he had reverted to his human-like form again.

The scent, the sound of rattling bones, it was familiar. Pulling his hair out of his face, he was met with the same gruesome sight from the dream. " Blood bath...good thing Shinigami isn't down here" The chain appeared again, guiding his vision to Kuroi who was walking towards him. " Hey! What is...never mind Rage is given right to set a trap"


She stopped and pulled taught the chains. " You shouldn't be down here."

"Excuse me? I just searched the whole castle to warn you. Why shouldn't I be down here?" The flooded floors proved more gruesome when he stood back up. Blood up to his waist left him stunned.

" If this trap does prove a problem for me, then you shall have your answers then." Striding past him, it was revealed that bones were rising beneath Kuroi's feet to keep her afloat. The power of Fear. " Come, we must get cleaned up and return"

This time the chain dragged Nasr with Kuroi as she walked along. The void greeted them with its cold embrace. It was chased off by a warm mist that fell over them like them like a cloud.
The area was thick with the scent of sweet water, rare flowers, and fine woods. " Hot springs...wait..." His heart jumped to his throat with the chain attaching them. "Nope!" Doubling back, he was greeted with a solid stone wall.

She chuckled while taking the chain in hand. " Relax. I'm not staying. You said Rage has set a trap? I will face it head on" A portion of Fear's power was drawn into her when she freed him from the binds. " Join us when you are finished"

" Us?" He watched her walk through the wall, leaving him alone.

She could feel it, Rage. Such a familiar fire that she longed to forget. Before her a massive door made from forgotten crystals and metals. " What are you planning, Shinigami?" The heartbeat was loudest here. When Rage showed, he was sure to hear it in his dreams as Nasr had normally. It was her the demons were searching for after all.

Head down, she turned to face what may be. "The boys are not yet ready" She took her dragon form to stand guard over the door.

The aura took the shape of the guardians and a message was sent to kuroi, "dream world please", the worlds said then disappeared. He wanted to face this new challenges head on
