Dawn Space Corps (played by KansasVenomoth)

Rulara's First Base:

For the past few years, Rulara has largely been considered the most dangerous planet in Robinson; while it may not have the dangerous storms and immense pressure the two gas giants have nor is it subjected to blistering heat the two inner planets endure, it is home to a dangerously violent population of natives that will viciously attack anyone or anything that gets to close to their homes. The land in Rulara is scarce, making up an area no larger than the state of Texas, meaning that building anything on dry land is near impossible thanks to these frightening Anurca, so the DSC had to do the next best thing; building directly on the ocean. Though they are miles from the nearest island, this doesn't mean building this floating base will be safe. The Anurca often go great distances to hunt for food and because of that, skirmishes between the Fleet and the natives are frequent, however no matter how often these occur, Colonel Kristina Powers is hellbent on ensuring that this base is not only perfectly built, but might eventually pave the path to peacefully cooperating with the natives, and of course, it'll eventually turn into a permanent for the citizens of the Dawn Space Corps. However, she needs strong and able researchers, brave and courageous guards, and as much help as she can get. Recently, she's turned to the recent recruits and will be testing them to see if they will prove beneficial to the San Francisco Division or if they'll be shipped back to the California. Will you be able to prove your worth to the Colonel and the rest of the DSC or will your tenure go down as a failure?

Alright, with this plot, it'll involve our characters going about their daily routines on the watery planet of Rulara as they work on building the first permanent human settlement on an exoplanet. Fighting off the Anurca and other threats, studying the weather, ocean, and exploring this expansive world will be among the many activities your character(s) will take part in. Those who are deemed unworthy (which won't be determined right away, it'll be played out), will be sent back to the U.S.S California where Major Commander Ernest Combs will determine your fate. This RP will have a more slice of life feel to it with the occasional chance for combat; severe injuries and even death are possible to your character, so be warned.

The Mysterious Debris:

For years, it's been accepted that the crew members of the Dawn Space Corps were first the outsiders to have stepped foot on Aria and the other Earth-like planets that make up system Robinson, though that fact has recently been turned upside down with the discovered of a number of strange metallic pieces, seemingly the remnants of a crash. Rather than being of Arian origins or that of another advanced race, it was determined at the South Carolina Branch that the debris was of human origin; this created a stir among the people residing in the fleet. For years, it's been accepted that the humans of the Dawn Space Corps were the only humans en route to Robison, and surely if someone had sent out a satellite, probe, or another ship, they would've kept some records of it. The only other possibility was that of their counterpart, the Dusk Space Corps, though many consider this to be impossible as by the time the DSC was even halfway to Robinson, their counterparts were well over 12,000 light years away and now that they've actually arrived at the system, they'd likely be at least 18,000 light years away and surely, if they had sent something out ahead of the Dawn Space Corps, surely that would've been recorded as well. With the theories of it originating from the DSC and DUSC having been shelved; but it's agreed that the debris was of human origin, the researchers on Aria and of those on the U.S.S Nevada and U.S.S South Carolina are stumped. What's going on here?

This RP follows our characters as they work to uncover the origins of the strange metallic debris. Unlike the previous RP, this one will be much less combat/slice of life focused and much more focused on the adventure aspects with a bit of mystery and intrigue involved. Whether your character is a new recruit or a long time member of the Nevada is up to you, as this likely won't involve the chance of expulsion from Commander Sadie's Branch, but we could include this as a side story.

Expedition to the Wisp Island:

For the past few centuries, the planet of Elea has remained a fascinating subject of study for the members of the Dawn Space Corps; in comparison to the other two life bearing planets, this one in particular mirror's Earth almost perfectly. The climate, surface, and even the life that dwells on the planet is a near identical match, of course there are some notable differences. Regardless of these differences, the researchers among the U.S.S Kalispell, U.S.S Nome, U.S.S Medford, and U.S.S Boise have all considered the planet to be a prime candidate for human habitation, though before they can get to work on creating permanent settlements, they needed to establish peaceful relations with the natives already living there. For the vast majority of the time, establishing these relations while unlocking the secrets this beautiful planet had to offer was the objective that all four research teams adhered to, at least until recent when Minor Captain Nicole Mays of the Medford Division had discovered strange, metallic debris that did not originate from the Dawn Space Corps; a couple days later, reports that Major Captain Steven Marshall of the Kalispell Division found similar debris, reports from the Captains of the Boise Division and Nome Division also discovered the same material. Discovering all of this in a matter of a few days wasn't a coincidence; someone else had been there before they did, but who? To make matters even stranger, they had begun picking up strange radio signals from the central island. Once thought to be nothing more than a volcanic forest, one of least concern to the research teams, the Wisp Island had suddenly become a vocal point of this controversial find. Teaming up, the Captains of the four divisions had set out to the island to see what was awaiting for them. You are among the researchers assigned to aid the captains in this mission. What kinds of things will you discover on this mysterious island?

This plot follows the adventures behind the members of the Kalispell, Nome, Medford, and Boise divisions as they explore the mysterious Wisp Island in the hopes of uncovering the source of the strange radio signals and whatever else might be hiding on the island. Combat, drama, and mystery themes are possible and likely, but they may not happen either, so who knows what to expect?

Life at the Academy: The U.S.S South Carolina

While education across the Fleet is of the utmost quality, anyone who attends the various universities the residential ships offer will frequently come out a much better person with a clear path in life, though those who truly push their bodies and minds to the limit will receive the opportunity to attend the prestigious U.S.S South Carolina, informally known as the Interstellar Academy and this academy is often the last place people attend before going on to enjoy illustrious careers as a member of the DSC. During your time at the academy, you'll find yourselves interacting with teachers and students from all kinds of backgrounds, each possessing a different dream in life. Some want to work their way up to become the next Fleet Commander, some want to open up their own business, some want to build their home of the surface of Elea, among many other possibilities. What kind of dreams does your character have?

Alright, amidst all the adventurous plots, there's bound to be one that's not so story heavy, and this one just happens to be it. Think of your stereotypical school RP and just put in space, and that's what we've got here. Unlike the others, romance is a possibility; it'll mostly focus on character driven interactions and development as we progress through the school. I'm looking for students and instructors to join the RP.

Alright, if you've made it this far, I hope to see you soon. I'm looking for 3-6 players to join me for any of the following RPs. I'm looking for adventure, mystery, and loads of fun in this WIP setting. What kinds of life will we encounter? What kind of stories will we build? Well, join me and we'll find out. I'll only be accepting human characters for the time being. I hope to write with you soon :)
Magic 10%
On very, very, rare occasions there may be unexplained, POSSIBLY supernatural events. Minor "environmental" magic. Perhaps implies the existence of a deity or supernatural entity. Or perhaps it's just tricks?
Technology 100%
Far future, perhaps galactic teleporters and fast terraforming
Combat 30%
Distant war may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat will likely be summarized, not played out in detail.
Romance 20%
Romance isn't outright desired, but can happen if we decide the characters are perfect for each other. The romance won't be important to the overall plot.

Details: Freeform, adjustable length posts, long-term RP partner preferred. Will be played with a small group of players.

I would be intrest, but it depends if my characters would suit
I love these plots, but I'm bad and have no human characters. '^v^

If you're willing to have a found-and-now-in-service ET, the bug I'm posting as may work, surprisingly, better than the bipeds. She's not a magic user, and, in a situation where she couldn't be retrieved by the Hive, would be happy to serve as a field medic along with whatever neuters she happens to have with her/been permitted to grow.

People not trusting her or disliking her, as well as her unwillingness to do grunt labor ("Thhat iss what Neuterss are ffor!") could also be fun things to play around with in a minor way. :3

Alternatively, I could make some (for the game) adjustments to Sox to make her human and, you know, not magic, but I'm not sure if her style of doing things would fit well with the proposed games.

I'm happy to discuss either option, though. ^v^

Either way, all but the last game work for me. Not the biggest fan of school-setting stuff, but the rest sound super fun!

If you have any human characters, I'm sure you could make them work with some mild adjustments.

While your characters are wonderful, I'm currently only looking for human characters to play with, but thank you for the interest :)
Sorry about that, then. '^v^ good luck!

Great! Why don't you drop me a DM and let's see if we can't get a story going?

Sounds like a good plan!
