(A lengthy introduction post for a welcoming into my RPing world)

No great story stared in the cluster of city life and chaotic mess that organized society created among the world. An age of development and discovery was what gave way to the great monuments of mans ego. Towering cities of machines and pollution, populated by the most intrusive sort to have ever walked the face of any plain. Man. With their inflated urge to grow and prosper the quality of life slowly decayed within their perfect society. Poverty, debt, sickness, new age experimentation of up and coming technological designs. Everything about becoming an advanced civilization slowly crippling and numbing them to the natural laws of nature and the balance of how life should be. That is why no great story starts within such a mess.

Miles beyond the limits of any city there could be found plenty of space within the untouched world. Open plains and fields of fresh grass and vegetation. Thick forests and jungles filled with animal life, far from native to the jungles of mans metal towers. Mountains, naturally towering above the greatest of manufactured structures, flowing with rivers and waterfalls which only those brave enough to explore outside the protective walls of civilization would ever be able to personally experience. This is where you find the means of greatness within the world. You search for it where it would naturally be found, though, anyone else would tell you... 'You'll find the most unusual things outside of the cities...' Just proof of how numb their minds have truly become.

Awakening on the steep cliff side was an experience Leon had not been expecting, nor had experienced in a long time. The mid day sun shining down upon the forested mountains was far too bright for his eyes, his jet black oculars slowly opening before the harsh rays struck his golden iris'. A grunt of discomfort escaped him as he rolled to his side away from the suns angle of light, his hands coming to his face and rubbing his eyelids. The sound of blowing winds flowed on by him carrying a thick mist in the air. Near by a large waterfall from the mountain summit flowed off the cliff and down to the ground far below. Finally able to slowly adjust and open his eyes, Leon was able to see a sight which he had not seen in as long as he could remember. Far below him a forested floor surrounded the mountain base, trees for miles stretching off towards the horizon. All around him, mossy, vine covered rock towered above.
Sitting up on the cliff edge he woke upon, Leon was naked and alone, his white hair unkempt and wet against his face. Crawling to the cliffs edge, his body was stiff, but strong enough to carry him over and see the endless wilderness that surrounded him. "Where... am i?" He uttered to himself lightly, not even familiar with the world which he was born in so long ago. Struggling to his feet he caught himself on the wall, holding onto a mess of vines while keeping his balance. The world around him felt unsteady. A sense of vertigo from either being up so high or having just awoken in a strange new world. He suspected the later.
A loud thud soon sounded close by off on the other edge of the small cliff he stood upon. Startling him, Leon fell back against the wall some, still using the vines to hold him up. A black rucksack was laying on the cliff there, previously not there before. Before thinking of approaching the bag however, from above him on the mountain side a shadowed figure with wing like arms came swooping down. With the sun shining behind it there was no way to see what it was in detail, other than the humanoid shape. Arms, legs, torso and head in similar proportion. The webbing of wings between the arms and torso though was unique, soon out of sight however as the figure flew down far beyond the cliff he stood upon and to the forests below. Approaching the bag finally, a note attached caught Leon's attention.
"Welcome home, Leon. This is all going to be strange to you, but take it slow and you should adapt fine to this world you are now in. Believe it or not, you were born here long ago. I know you have many questions, but im afraid they all can not be answered right now. Get dressed, take your time, and i will find you soon. ~Signed: Zero"
The note couldnt have been any more spot on. Leon was lost and had no idea what to do. Regardless though he figured he would just go along with it. Opening the bag, inside he found a set of clothes, covering his naked form before taking a seat on the cliff edge to gaze out across the land. "I was born here?" He questioned the note, but having nothing to argue its statement he didnt try denying it. Everything was a blur right now to him. It seemed the note was right again. He would just have to wait and see where things took him.

[Is Leon old or younger then Ravona and was that forest part of Dreatathisian Territory? If so, how long ago has it been since it was abandoned by them? I need to know so I don't screw up my first post.]

(Dreatathisian's are known to be extinct, so everyone thinks. They have not been seen for generations. As for age, chances are that he is older. No worries. Need anything else before starting? )

Ravona was flying over her territory with her murder of ravens searching for prey. None of them were very hungry, but the last kill had been picked clean and it was best to have food available for them once they did get hungry. After all, their was no guarantee that one would be able to find something when you went hunting.

Not long into the hunt however, she noticed something that made her put her hunting on hold. A human? Even from where she was however, Ravona could see that odd black line running down the left side of his face and those eyes that were not human. Well it was no matter, it was a long time since any sentient races had appeared here which was worth investigating even tho he wasn't actually in her territory.

She flew over and then landed on the cliff with her birds following suit. Then she immediately got straight to the point. "Why is another being like you here so close to my territory? Other beings almost never come here and your the first one in a decade. You look to be human and yet your face clearly says that you are not, so what exactly are you?" The unusually fierce looking ravens meanwhile were looking at him with beady red eyes which one might find unnerving considering the sheer number of them.

Having no idea where to start didnt make things easy on the lost mind of Leon. Sitting there on the cliff side just gazing upon the beauty of the land was good enough for him for the time being, though he knew he would eventually have to set off and actually see more of this world for himself. Until then though he let out a light sigh and pondered the thoughts of everything. "Why cant i remember anything?" He asked himself, more than once actually. Everything in his head was a blur, having just a mesh of clouded images coming to mind every time he closed his eyes to try thinking. He wasnt able to get too far into his thoughts however, soon hearing the calling of ravens nearby. More importantly though, getting closer.
Leon was usually not easy to scare or discomfort, but given the circumstances it seemed rather acceptable that the sight of a flock of ravens put him off some. Seeing as they were lead by a harpy as well, that was not too comforting either. Leon getting to his feet stood there near the cliff side as Ravona landed, listening then as she started pelting question after question at him. Why was he there? He was asking the same question! What was he?... "My name is Leon Farathis..." He started, ready to give a full introduction but stopping short just after his name due to lack of proper memory. If he were able to think straight he would have had much more to add. Leon Nimbus Farathis, Monarch of the Tel'Mavalah'Moris Shadow Lands, Tyrant of Darkness. It seemed he would have to leave all those details out, seeing as all that came to his mind was a cluster of fuzz. "...why not tell me who you are, and where I am?" He reversed the question on her, seeing as he had nothing else to say on the subject. He was in need of answers more so than she was. Though he was a bit discomforted by the masses of birds staring at him, it took a lot usually to get any real change in behavior from him.

Ravona did nothing more then blink her eyes slowly when he tried to reverse the question on her after giving her his name. She remained silent for a few moments before deciding to speak. "Your in the wilderness and if some civilization gave this place a name, then I neither know, nor care about it. What is important is that the forest beneath this cliff is my home and has been for the last 230 years. There are no civilizations even remotely close which is the way I like it so seeing other beings in this area is extremely rare. As for my name, I am Ravona."

While most of the ravens were looking at Leon, a couple of them were still scanning for prey and then one suddenly cawed. At the caw, the other birds looked to where it was looking and noticed a male mountain goat with a broken horn. Suddenly more then half of the flock took to the air and flew down to it. The mountain goat quickly saw them and tried to run, but it was no use. The ravens easily caught up and sideswiped it, letting their wing feathers slash through his flesh and bone. It took less then a minute for the birds to slash him to death and start feeding. Yet the birds made sure to leave some of the choicest meat alone for Ravona. Two birds then craved out the choicest cut, flew over to Ravona and dropped it to her which she caught. Yet she apparently wasn't very hungry for she just used her claws to cut off a small pieces which she ate and then tossed the rest at Leon.

The thrown meat had been a bit of hospitality and a test. The man hadn't intruded on her territory and she had approached him herself so it was fitting to give a meal in return. However she was also curious to see if he would actually eat it, after all few humans would eat raw meat.

Well aware of the flow of time and how calendars worked, Leon understood that it must have been quite some time indeed since anyone had actually traveled to such parts of the world. In his case though he had just woken up, so that was odd for him to just explain. "We'll, Ravona, I'm sorry to be a rare sight around here, but it wasn't much of my choice. Kind of just woke up here... My heads a freaking mess..." He trailed off with his words, looking out across the openness of the world then beyond the cliff side.

The sight of the birds flocking towards a mountain goat eventually took his attention. It was impressive seeing the hunting habits. Swarm and overwhelm. It was clearly effective seeing as they came back with a gift of meat for Ravona. Watching her take a small amount from the hunk before it was suddenly tossed his way. Catching the butchered piece of meat, Leon looked at it and felt his mind zone into a deeper region of consciousness. His eyes seemed to narrow in at the potential food source he longer be gazed upon it. Instinct setting in, he took a bite right from it. He may have looked human but there was something beneath the surface which would easily explain the willingness to devour he raw meat. Something he wouldn't just talk about however. "Thank you..." He would eventually nod his head to her. He was actually hungrier than he thought.

[Would his mouth reveal anything or does it look like a normal human mouth?

Nothing would show from it. His eyes are the only thing that partially resemble a Dreatathisian, though the golden iris' is not normal to the race either. He's strange to pick out if trying to identify what he was, especially since the race has been gone for so long. No one expects to ever see it, or traces of it again)

[Who is zero? Is he an enemy? I was thinking that if he was, maybe he managed to piss off Ravona and we could do the whole, the enemy of my enemy is my friend sort of thing? Just trying to figure out where to go from here.]

(Sorry for the delay. Posted that last one and went to bed last night haha)

~~ Zero is the one who pulled Leon from the shadow realms and dumped him back here in his home world. He is an extremely powerful Gargoyle who means well for Leon, but his methods are a bit unorthodox from the start. (they end up becoming best friends later on, but its confusing from the start) Later on, another Gargoyle will be introduced who is hunting Zero and cause a lot of conflict. The reason why the gargoyles are so powerful is because they are basically the pets of 'the god of creation'. AKA, supernatural master of the universe.
~~ A main plot I follow is that Zero broke the 'laws of the universe' by directly interacting with Leon. Zero is of god like power, and thus is only supposed to help maintain balance in the universe. Helping Leon who is of just simple 'mortal' status, can cause disruption, which is against the laws. That pisses off the 'god', Whose name is 'Vyrox', and you get the other Gargoyle who shows up later. It all keeps flowing from there and has plenty inbetween, but thats my own personal plot i follow with Leon. Its basically his story of how eventually Leon ascends to a pseudo-godlike status because he is destined to either save or destroy his own world. (which then brings the fun of RP!!! I dont know where i want it to go yet! lol)

[Really wished you would have told me that from the get go as I have a hard time picturing Ravona in such a plot. She's really not a character who would enjoy being on such unequal footing with a possible love interest.]

(Well if you want to bail out then thats fine. Im sorry you feel that way. Im sure there are much better fitting characters out there for your taste if thats the case. I really dont mind if you want to just stop now and opt out. No hard feelings.)

[Hmm instead how about I switch characters to something more suitable? I have this little ghost girl named Glaceia, but I had made her a toddler angel before since she works rather well for it. He finds her all alone and can't abandon her. Then I can add my Goddess Kariah who is at odds with Zero for breaking the rules. She's not a foe per say as she is benevolent, but she is very concerned about the potential outcome as perhaps something like this happened before and it destroyed the world. So she would probably be more passive aggressive doing things like try to steer him off his path, make him lose his memory and such. Then at the same time, she slowly begins wonders if the rules are not meant to be broken occasionally? While all this is going on, maybe Leon is also trying to figure out where Glaceia came from since she is already very powerful at her age.

(Very possible with Kariah. Im not too sure with Glaceia though. The whole younger sort and such has never been in my style. Another Godlike being showing up would be very fitting though with the universe here. Lots of happenings regarding powerful beings goes on haha. It would be interesting seeing too with Kariah against Zero as well, because the nature of Zero's existence. The gargoyles created by Vyrox are considered to be 'godlike' in themselves. There are 4 of them total and Zero was always recognized as the most powerful of them all, able to rival the power of other gods, and even Vyrox himself. Zero's motives for interacting with Leon though are what throws everyone off. No one knows why Zero is doing it, but Zero is on his own personal Mission to bring Leon to Ascension and create a Pseudo-God from a previously mortal being. Its an attempt to rework the balance of the universe, because since the beginning of time the laws of the gods on the balance have been the same. So thats the whole driving plot behind that. Would you want to bring Kariah into something like that? Throw Leon's life into a crazy mix of Gods. lol)

[I can do that. Should I just reply to your starting post again, but this time as Kariah? Hmm..I have more more twist. This one might be a bit.....cracky... tho so feel free to say no. I was thinking that maybe they both have some sort of chemistry together because Kariah does have a human form. Think about it, on different sides and yet there is a spark between them, a question of possible love over duty, forbidden romance and all the drama that comes with it. Like I said, it's crack, but crack can be fun. xD

[Actually would you mind if I have her post to Zero first? I was thinking she goes to confront him and then decides to deal with him herself. I also had another idea. Remeber how I said that a world had been destroyed before by that sort of thing? Perhaps that god was locked into the underworld, but breaks out?]

We could you around with that idea and see how it goes. Like I said, this setting is ripe with the idea or gods and such lol.
If you want to try confronting Zero though then feel free. I warn now though, he was created to be a 'god breaker'. Open conflict with him, especially his early, would be very painful. Vyrox created Zero and the other 3 gargoyles to stop gods and other powerful forces from breaking the balance.)

[Kariah isn't the type to start conflicts unless utterly forced to. She is really a more peaceful deity who is just trying to protect the balance of life and death. Finally I think Zero would be really reluctant to enter into battle with her because it would be lose/lose. If she won, then he lost and should he win, he would still lose because she's kind of the heavenly Oh shi- button when a bunch of damage has been done to both gods as well as the worlds. She was the one who got stuck with the mess of fixing the last planet that got destroyed by that previous god. Also I added a reference pic of her human form to her profile.]

Kariah was sleeping in a meadow on her tiny planet sanctuary. All around her were plants and creatures that had been hunted to extinction by sentient races rather then by natural selection making her planet their sanctuary too. The goddess however had no intention of ever returning these species to their homeworlds as the sentient races had to pay the price for their actions and learn from them.

Yet now the goddess was stirring awake from her deep sleep She had retreated to her Eden like planet to rest and relax after having to fix all that damage that the mortal-turned-god had done to his planet. She had managed to reconstruct the planet, restore the delicate ecosystems and then breathed back life to all of the planet's inhabits that had been killed. Yet even tho all of them had their memories erased, she didn't believe for a moment that that was the end of the matter. The destruction of an entire world was not something so easily fixed and forgotten about after all.

Yet now was not the time to think about that disaster as she could sense the possible approach of another disaster of the exact same scale. It appeared that the other immortals had not learned their lesson after all. Well she refused to sit idly and that history repeat itself once again and she had an educated guess as to who she needed to talk to.

Kariah suddenly disappeared in a flash of light and reappeared when Zero the Gargoyle was. "Why am I not surprised that your master and the other gods have not learned from their foolish mistake. Is the ruination of one planet not enough to teach them that there are boundaries that should not be crossed?! Yet even now I can sense the winds of potential disaster even as one planet returns to normalcy."

The goddess of Birth and Rejuvenation was clearly irritated, but Zero would likely know that despite this, it was extremely unlikely for her to start a battle as she loathed violence. Indeed the rare times that she entered battle was when her opponents had truly brought it upon themselves.
