"You must have been sheltered your whole life... you're probably the most prim and proper sort ive ever come across." He reversed the comment right back to her, a light smirk on his lips as he was of course just joking around. About saying she was sheltered that was. He was honest in saying he hadnt met someone like herself. Who could blame him for his time in the shadow realms though? A proper woman was the last thing you could find in that sort of world. Sex, violence, anger, hatred. They were the same among all individuals, male and female alike. "Your assumption is a far cry off about how i would prefer my women. If i have to hold her hand, guide her along and only use her as a sex toy and a home cooked meal, i want nothing to do with them... The men you seem to be selling to must be gluttonous pigs, the way you make them out to sound." Leon shook his head, stepping out of the cave and ready to leave on that note.
As Kariah took the lead he simply followed along. It was good to see she had a bit of an adventurous side to her. The ripped up skirt, the forethought to try finding food, and the willingness to take the lead, they were dominant traits of personality no doubt and it was helping pull her out of that prissy pit Leon based his first impression of her on. "Im sorry if i come off rude... Im still adjusting to everything... thats all..." Probably one of the most humble apologies you could get from him at this point. Leon did have a very civil side to him though. Somewhere deep under the overlapping layers of darkness and hate. What ever Zero did to him upon bringing him here to the mortal realms though certainly changed something. If Zero had brought the Tyrant Leon once was, this world would have been dead yesterday.

"That's what happens when you are born a noble lady. You should of seen the madam they hired to teach manners. Strictest and meanest woman I ever met, don't even think she knew what the word fun even meant. If she was hear now, I am sure that she would still insist on doing things proper and have a fit when I had my dress cut." Kariah laughed a bit there and in truth she had seen a woman like that. Long ago she had been friends to a little noble child and her governess was exactly as she had described. Those years had been fun, but as the child grew up, she lost the ability to see her as she had started to think that Kariah had just been a make believe friend.
"That's how the noble men like their women. They want them so dependent on them so that they will be forced to put up with them and turn a blind eye to the number of affairs they have. A woman who tries to make her own decisions is seen as being willful and their fathers will do their best to crush that since it will make her less desirable as a bride."
Sad, but true, that little child had such a spirit, but it was steadily choked to death as she grew up. By the time she was no longer able to see her unless she revealed herself to everyone, that spirit had been utterly suffocated to death.
They then arrived at the place where the water could be heard, but not seen. "Well we are here and I accept your apology. It's understandable that you would be having a rough time out here."

Leon listened to the small tale she told about the nobles and their style. It actually confused him. Though he knew nothing of this world, he still had the vague memories of childhood within his mind. The fables and bedtime stories one would tell their young to help them sleep and keep their imagination alive. Kariah spoke of times of the medieval realms, so it sounded. Times where woman had no rights and were brainwashed into their lifestyle because it was just the ways of the people. Leon couldnt place these thoughts to actual events of memories, but, they seemed so out of style the ways of her life that she described. "I thought the age of nobility and suffrage had long since expired..." He commented while they walked, looking up ahead at her still as she was still leading them towards the source of the waters sound. "...just tales that mothers tell their young, twisted with the fable of dragons and ancient sorcery across the land..." He was in question of this world they were in now. The note he had said this was his home, and he had nothing within his mind of the things Kariah told him.
"I can hear it..." He nodded, his ears much more sensitive than that of your average human. Once it seemed it would be right for him to take the lead he did, walking on ahead of Kariah, but making sure she was still following. "Upstream is where people settle... so either we will find something eventually... or we're truly are in the middle of nowhere..." He sighed, starting towards where his ears told him the running water was. If it was a stream that would be disappointing, as he was hoping for a river. Something larger and stronger of a water source, usually being much more reliable to guide one to civilization. "You mentioned bandits when we first met... how many?" Leon eventually came to a stop, his eyes seeming to focus far forward into the depths of the woodlands ahead of them. It was like he was seeing, or sensing something not quite in sight, but obviously making him question the bandits she spoke off. Something seemed off and it put him on edge suddenly. It could probably be seen in his posture, much more rigid and defensive, as if waiting for something rather than being ready to attack himself. "...keep your voice low..." He spoke softly back to her.

Kariah shook her head at leon's world about the medieval era and said. "Maybe in some areas, but not around here. In this area, it is still very much a man's world. If there are places where women have power, then the men have done a good job of keeping it quiet."
Leon then spoke of the stream they could hear and she said. "Let us hope that we don't run into trouble first." Then he mentioned the bandits and she shuddered silently for a few minutes. Only after she had stopped did she finally answer him. "At least ten, probably more. I couldn't exactly look back." Now what Leon didn't know was that once they arrived at the stream, they would be led downstream. The goddess knew that going upstream would lead them to an area where women did have rights. However very far downstream would lead them to two things. First would be a bandit encampment and even further beyond that, a city where women had no rights at all. So to ensure that they followed the correct route, she was forcing the visible part of the stream to go upstream when it was supposed to be going downstream. Eventually the stream would reach a river where upstream did lead to where she wanted them to go, but until then, she was going to have to continuing messing with the stream.
She nodded when he mentioned to keep her voice low and remained silent as they moved forward.
[And now the lies get harder and harder.]

Leon didnt seem to have much of a reaction to the number of bandits that Kariah mentioned when she did. Or at least his reaction was quite the opposite of what you would expect. He almost seemed to chuckle lightly at the idea of being overwhelmed by bandits. There was actually a part in his mind at the same time which thought the idea sounded fun. "Well... if they get in our way then we'll just have to make them leave us alone..." He smirked lightly, standing at the stream side before beginning to following it downstream, thinking of course he was going up. Kariah's trick certainly was a sly one, and managing to pull it off without raising Leon's suspicion either. He was thinking of those bandits now. The idea of open conflict was strangely working something on those suppressed memories of his. Oddly enough, he had a taste of blood in his mouth and on his mind. There truly was something wicked about the Dreatathisian race. Leon was missing no qualities of that at all.
"When we find civilization remind me to take you out someplace nice for dinner..." His thoughts while they were walking managed to go back to the ideas of her living in such a male dominated region. In his mind, at least how it was now that he wasnt in the dark realms, saw woman as equals or even higher of status than himself. If Kariah knew nothing of what luxuries lied in the regions of his own home city then he was already convinced that she needed to experience such a thing. "...and if you say no I'll drag you out and make sure you enjoy a night on the town." He took a look back at her, a light smile there on his face. More of his underlying personality was starting to surface it seemed. Misunderstood and extremely complex. That would be an accurate description of Leon from most people.
