Neighbour was just loaded into the ambulance. I waved, but I can't tell if she waved back or not. It's gone now. She's been kind to me ever since I was little, and I'm hoping she'll be okay. Thoughts and prayers.

Ohh I'm sorry to hear that, must have been a shock to see such scene. I think it's part of life to experience those kinds of moments. I used to work in a retirement home and when there was an empty chair or an empty bed at first I didn't gave it much thought, but then one day I saw the ambulance waiting outside the entrance, carrying one of the elders and everything 'clicked' into place. Not that I'm implying anything regarding your case, but what I'm trying to say is that it's an experience that one will eventually run into as life moves on. Learn from it, treasure it, keep close to those people that are important to you and don't hold back in letting them know...The words you keep quiet will come to haunt you back when the people which they were meant for are no longer there to listen to them.
