Imagine the home you knew today was overrun by zombies,imagine buildings slowly falling apart and the roads covered in blood. What would you do,where would you go? Do have the guts to fight off zombies,or are you one of those people that just up and left? Well,imagine you ran into a zombie,a zombie that wouldn't hurt you,or try to eat you.
Nathan,a kind and gentle zombie,is chilling at a bar,drinking a bit of bear,yes he drinks. He looked over and out the window and saw you killing off zombies. He quickly dove under the table,still drinking,to avoid getting his un-dead butt killed. You enter the bar and see him hiding under the table. Curious,why didn't this zombie attack you? Shouldn't he be trying to eat your brain? Two days have passed and Nathan is trying to learn how to communicate with a human,yet he just sounds like he really has to crap. Eventually the two of you become good friends,and he managed to re-learn how to write notes,that way you know what he is trying to say.

On very, very, rare occasions there may be unexplained, POSSIBLY supernatural events. Minor "environmental" magic. Perhaps implies the existence of a deity or supernatural entity. Or perhaps it's just tricks?
Modern
More combat than not. The setting may be at war, and the characters will likely get involved whether or not they seek it out.
Romance is required, but may take some time to develop. For example: slow burn RPs.
