Hello all, Winter here.
I'm not fully certain if a similar topic has been posted before or not, I don't keep up on the forums much. So I apologize in advance if this topic is a repeat for anyone.
Currently I am reading a book called: Arena (Book #1 in the Arena Series). It's a book by: Holly Jennings.
In the book the heroine and a team mate of her's are, in the section I'm at, discussing a book called Tao Te Ching. I've no idea if it's made up for this book or not.
The heroine, Kali, asked her team mate, Rooke, what his favorite quote from the book was.
Rooke answered: "A man with outer courage dares to die. A man with inner courage dares to live."
Is there any quote from a book you've read, that caught your attention like this?

I love the idea!
At the moment:
“The soul becomes dyed with the colour of its thoughts.”

...Dude that's like. Dang. That's a deep quote right there.
Heck yes!
...and I do recommend reading the Tao Te Ching, too. That book is so...
...here's a quote from it:
Also, fun fact-- Taoism partially inspired Star Wars!
That's my answer--that first verse of the Tao Te Ching grabbed me and I stayed in the book store for hours and read the entire book.

...here's a quote from it:
Tao Te Ching
Description lies: the map
is not the territory.
The way that can be named
is not the eternal way.
Nameless, it begets heaven and earth.
Named, it illuminates each process,
generates every thing.
Persisting without desire
we penetrate its mystery.
Persisting with desire
we grasp its outer play.
The two aspects are one;
we call them two to speak
at all, of change.
Where they fuse we find mystery:
profound, dynamic, the doorway
to all, subtle and wonderful.

Firstly: Wow. That is a very good quote. ^-^
Second: Taoism partially inspired Star War?! Did not know that.
Third: O.O You CAN buy the book?! Any idea where online, hopefully, one could find Tao Te Ching?
