Kyle yawned as he a woke in bed. He looked outside at the sun just fading away. "Ah.. time to get up. I hate Summer time. Nights are shorter. But there are chicks in bikinis so I guess it isn't to bad and everyone parties hard!" He chuckled and headed to the shower in his apartment. He felt excited to join the parties and maybe bring another girl home. This time however he wouldn't accidentally bit her during their love making he made himself a promise. He didn't like explaining why his teeth are like that. They never seem to believe the lie.
Bernard growled to himself as he woke up, peeling the pages of a book off his face. It'd happened again- he should seriously try not to fall asleep on his couch while reading, or he'd have to pick a more exciting book. Not that this one was bad or anything, but there came a time at night where he just couldn't keep himself awake any longer.
The lone werewolf sat up and shelved the book again before shrugging his jacket on and going outside. He always enjoyed night, and summer was always so horribly hot; mornings and nighttime were the only times he could really go walking around without panting like a dog. Or a wolf, if you want to go there.
His tawny hair glinting slightly in the fading sunshine, he started his trek around town like he always did at night.

((Lol.)) Kyle started to dress in his usual jeans and white t-shirt with his favorite sweater over it. He put on a gold neck lace and put his ear ring in his ear. "what lady wouldn't want this~" He chuckled and combed his hair. "I look amazing." He started out of his apartment happily.
"Look at you, what is wrong with you? Sleeping all day and partying all night. how are you even keeping that apartment." A older woman came out of her apartment.
"Good evening Mrs. Dancy." Kyle sighed, and forced a smile.
"How are you ever going to get a wife?" She scowled.
"I would love to stay and chat how I am messing my life up but I have places to be. Bye Mrs. Dancy." He hurried to the elevator.
"Hey, don't just blow me off!" She started to the elevator.
'come on come on!' he panicked and hurried on as soon as it opened and started pressing the close door button in a hurry. "close close." Finally it did right before she was about to get on. "so close..." he pressed the button to go down.

(;P hehehe)
Bernard, on the other hand, was the exact opposite of Kyle. While the vampire may have oozed confidence and screamed that he was a jock, the werewolf was more quiet and, to put it bluntly, geeky. The green argyle sweater was all anyone needed to figure that out; the glasses didn't help much either. He could've been cute, if you were interested in nerds, although he mostly just looked like the kind of guy who had his sandwich smashed in high school.
There was a reason he was still a loner.
He kept to himself and didn't really bother anyone, at least until he turned the corner and continued on the path down the sidewalk that happened to lead in front of an apartment building. It would be there that Fate would throw him a screwball and have him collide with one Kyle Ryker as he stepped out the door of the building, causing no small amount of commotion and startling the poor wolf out of his wits.
And so it begins.

Kyle jumped as well being bumped into, "dude wa-..." Kyle stared, he knew this smell. He swallowed hard, 'don't blow what I am' he had to move twice from being found out and he was just getting settled into his place. "wolf..." he whispered and slowly got up with caution.
Bernard had hastily scrambled to his feet and was just coming up with a bumbling apology as he straightened his crooked glasses when he caught a whiff of the distinct vampire scent. There was no denying it, and he gulped slightly in instinctive apprehension. He ducked his head slightly in a submissive gesture, wincing slightly when he whispered the word 'wolf'.
"Sorry," he murmured, his green eyes having difficulty meeting Kyle's blue ones.

"You...fear me?" He tried not to laugh, "I didn't know there was pack in this city, I swear. I always thought Werewolves were more of a country type but it's cool I will see to another place, don't bother alerting your leader." He chuckled and started to back up a bit.
"What- oh, I'm not in a pack," Bernard told him quickly, holding his hands up like he was being mugged. "I'm not in a pack, I'm a loner."
That could potentially have been a bad mistake on his part, but he didn't really care. "And I personally prefer the country myself but country houses are expensive, so I have to stick to the city."

'A lone werewolf... Interesting...' The fear of this werewolf all seemed to fade away. Kyle thought it kind of funny, he leaves the county side and lives in cities to avoid werewolves and other creatures and ends up finding a werewolf.
He looked around seeing people stare at them and from the looks of it, it looked like Kyle was the mugger. This attention was something he didn't like. He grabbed this lone werewolf by the collar of his shirt and pulled his up, "come on man, stop cowering like a scared cat, you are drawing far to much attention."

Bernard flinched as if expecting to be slugged by the vampire, but quickly dropped his shoulders and shoved his hands in his pockets upon hearing his words. He certainly was a jumpy and submissive little thing, that was for sure- if he had been part of a pack he'd be at the very bottom.
He stood there awkwardly, shuffling his feet as his gaze wandered here and there and everywhere, only resting for a few seconds in Kyle's eyes. Direct eye contact for too long was considered a sign of aggression in canids and he didn't want to take any chances.

"Don't worry, I'm not going to attack as long as you wont. Who are you?" kyle looked him up and down. He looked like a nerd... he always thought werewolf were big and bulky, with large arms. At least that is what they looked like in the pack he had a run in with almost 80 years ago, he wondered what happened, if they all look like this now.
They were probably grey wolf werewolves; from what Bernard had discovered, grey werewolves were the bulkiest and most muscular of all the werewolf subspecies. This particular were, however, had the fortune of being a red wolf and was therefore smaller and lighter built than some of his other counterparts.
"Bernard," he replied, finally getting up the courage to look Kyle directly in the eye and seriously hoping he didn't do anything even remotely aggravating. The last vampire he had met had had a very short temper and didn't exactly like weres all that much. Needless to say, that encounter didn't end too well.

He looked at Bernard with his crystal blue eyes that almost seemed glowing in the moonlight "Ben-NArd? what a name..." He chuckled, "you live in a city and look like a country school boy. Well you do have some thing to do? I am on my way to a party would you like to join?" He yawned a bit revealing his sharp fangs with the street light glinting off them.
"Well," he began hesitantly, "do I honestly look like a partier to you?"
Although he had to admit the offer was tempting. He was an innately social creature despite his overt shyness, and he hadn't exactly talked to anyone besides the grocer in a while.

"not in that outfit, come on lets fix you up." He grabbed his arm and starting dragging him into the apartment building, "I was planning to bring home a chick tonight but I guess I could help you for tonight. You need to let loose and have fun. I mean we are going to be living for like ever might as well live it up."
"This is my favorite sweater," he protested meekly, letting the vampire drag him along. "And I live it up- I swear I've read every book in the library and I've started on the bookstore."
This was the werewolf's idea of a good time, needless to say.

Kyle shook his head and let the elevator taking Bernard up to his apartment. When the door open Mrs. Darcy was in the hall. "oh man..." Kyle sighed, "quickly now."
"Kyle!... who is this... you are not going for boys now are you?!" She said with her wrinkly eyes opened wide.
"What?! no! he is just a buddy in need of some help to get a girl." He said dragging Barnard away.

"Hello- goodbye, ma'am- have a nice day-" Bernard could barely yelp courteously before he was whisked away down the hall rather helplessly. He considered voicing the opinion that his arm was about to get yanked out of its socket but decided against it, for surely if he spoke it it would become reality. He was rather confused as to what was going on, but he went with it, cataloging exits in case things turned sour and he had to leave.
You never know.
You never know.
Kyle opened his door to his room. Entering was a large apartment. It had a living room and a kitchen connected and a door to his bed room. He turned on a rather dim lamp. "I don't like a lot of light" He pointed to where the windows should be but instead they were covered up with thick black curtains. The living room was well kept with a couch and a nice looking rug. no Tv though. The kitchen it could be seen the stove was never used only the refrigerator was being used which one could guess what was in there. "I would offer you a drink but I only have wine and...well you know. Wait I have water too but it isn't cold." Kyle walked into the kitchen.
