Iveth's eyes flickered to the young man's then up to Kyle's, her face becoming unreadable. It's moments like these that she hated, but like from when she was in the field, you had to go with the best option. If they let the hunters go, they'd probably go back and spew all they know about she and Kyle to the others, but if she decided to kill them the hunters would soon find out. Killing one was also out of the question. They either both die or live.

Iveth stared down at the father, rising the crossbow to aim at his head, "We'll let you slide.. But if you don't make up a hell of a story of our death, I'll be back to kill both you and your son. Maybe I'll even include the family and I'll make this clear." She brought the crossbow down and shot his thigh. If she calculated right it was only a flesh wound.

The man screamed and Kyle hissed. He bit into the one named Bernard and started to drink as he screamed and struggled. "HELP! STOP!" The older yelled, "NO NO! STOP PLEASES!!!"

Iveth jerked around to Kyle, immediately dropping the crossbow and grabbed onto the vampire's arm, trying to pry him away, "No! Kyle!!"

Kyle let go and looked at her, his eyes looked as though he was another person then he snapped out of it. "Iveth..." He whispered confused and looking a bit dizzy. "I need to get away from here, to much blood."

When he turned to look at her, she frightfully pulled hands back to herself. He didn't look to be himself for a moment until he spoke her name.

"Come on," she grabbed his hands and hastily retreated back towards the trees, never looking back at the men. The branches whipped at her bare skin, but she couldn't care less. Her focus was on Kyle. She stopped once they were just to where the hunters were out if sight and stared up at him, her arms wrapped tightly around her chest.

Kyle looked down, "let me get your clothing." He whispered, "you will get sick and how will you get bak into the city? Let me get them, I'll be quick. I won't bite." He said with a sad look.

Iveth leaned against a tree and she pushed her dripping hair from her face as she watched him retrieve her clothes. It was evident he was upset about what he did.

He quickly ran out and stopped looking at the man who cradled his son's head in his arms sobbing. "Umm is he dead?"
The man looked at him, "no... But he is dieing. You monster..."
Kyle sighed, "let me have him, I can get him to the hospital quicker than you can."
"You think I would trust you?!"
"Well it is either he dies here or maybe he will make it if I take him for help. What will it be?" The man look down at his son. And than nodded. Kyle handed Iveths clothing to him,
"Go gives these to her and tell here I will be right back." He picked up the younger one and in a flash he was gone. The older one started into the trees.
"Young miss, I have you clothing." He limped around looking.

It hadn't been Kyle's voice which made her apprehensive, but as she saw the limping man in the trees she relaxed a bit. She approached him slowly and took the garments without a word. Once she slipped everything back on she asked, "Where is he..?"

"He Is taking my Son to the hospital." He sighed, "they said it would be easy with these weapons and we would be rewarded by god if he killed the devil spawn. They said with the protection of god we wouldn't be harmed..." The man started to cry.

Iveth tilted her head a bit, a solemn look on her face. So he was deceived? She began to wonder if this is what all hunters believed, a white lie. She pushed her sleeves up and neared the man slowly, ".. Who are 'they'..?"

"The people of the church. The ones who talk to god." The man looked at her with tear filled eyes. "Young miss, are you that devil's mate?"

Her expression suddenly turned sour, "He's not a demon! He didn't choose to be the way he is.. Someone did that to him and he hates it. Those 'church people' don't know anything.." She ruffled her hair as it began to dry.

The man didn't say anything further. Kyle soon got back, "he will be okay. He is in the hospital." The man looked at him for a long moment. Kyle walked to Iveth and hugged her. "Are you okay?"

She nestled into his chest, sighing heavily, "Yeah, I'm fine. Nothing I can't handle." She ended with a grin on her lips and wrapped her arms around his waist.

"Are you sure you still want to be a vamp? This is stuff we deal with all the time." He looked at her with a teasing expression.
The man got up and slammed a blade deep into Kyle's back. Kyle yelled in pain and was about to fight back when the man sprayed a liquid at him. Kyle fell to the ground in pain. He rubbed his arms like he was trying to get the burning off.

Iveth's eyes widened to the man's sudden assault and gasped as Kyle fell to the ground. Without any second thought, she grasped the man's hair and as hard as she could, slammed his head against the hard trunk of a tree. He had hit with his nose first. He was gone.

She dropped down to Kyle, trying to pacify him the best he could. Her eyes flicked to the blade in his back. If she were to pull it out he'd lose much blood which would only lead him to crave more. Instead, she quickly looked to the beach that suddenly seemed so far away. It'd rinse of whatever the hunter had sprayed on him.

"Kyle, Kyle, try and stand up," She hooked her arms under his pits, trying her best to lift him. Her heart pounded in her ears, almost frantic. She wasn't going to lose him now.

Kyle tried to stand stumbling quiet a bit before throwing up a large amount of blood. But he made it to the beach and collapse in the water letting it wash over him. His skin look like he had just been brought out a burning building. He laid there with his eye open just a little bit.

Iveth knelt down in front of him and held his head in her lap. Her fingers brushed the skin of his arm that looked as if he barely escaped a fire. As much as she wanted to go back and kick at the dead man's body she didn't. She didn't want to leave Kyle.

Iveth loomed over his face, her voice trembled, "You're going to be fine.. Alright?" Her hands cupped his cheeks as she gazed down into his one eye that was open. She didn't know what to do except to keep him alive with her words.

He smiled up at her, "yea... I just hurts. I need to get home. The sun will be starting to rises soon. Summer you know." He raises his hand and touched Iveth's cheek. "Thank you." He leaned up and kissed Iveth's lips softly with passion.
