This game is in one the groups I'm in. I figured I'd put it over here too, because it's a neat concept.
If you were drinking a Coke, would you let me mix your Coke with a cup of hot sauce and call it a Cajun Coke?
Rules of the Game
Step One: Answer the request of the person above you with a yes or a no.
Step Two: Then, make a request of the person below you.
Step Three: After someone responds to your request, go back and accept their response and thank them for it.
You'll either say:
a) Thank you (if the answer was yes), or...
b) Thank you for taking care of yourself (if the answer was "no," "I don't know," or...anything other than yes).
The requests can be silly or realistic (see some examples below).
If your answer to the person above is "no," they must respond with, "Thank you for taking care of yourself," or some variation on that.
The main idea is that it's ok to say no.
When you answer requests, explanations are totally optional. You can give one, or not.
Your no can just be "no." Or it can be "No, thank you," or "No, because...(this or that)."
Yes can just be yes. Or, it can be "Yes, because...(this or that)."
"I don't know" is also an acceptable answer.
It should be treated as a "no" and responded to with, "Thank you for taking care of yourself."
Requests and responses should follow all the rules of communicating on RpR forums, naturally.
By the way...
Changing your mind is also okay. If someone changes from a yes to a no, the response should be, "Thank you for taking care of yourself."
Also...
If someone's "person above" doesn't get back to the game, after 24 hours someone else can step in and do the "Thank you for taking care of yourself," part and then add their request and continue the game.

Um...that's a lot of money, so...no?
If you were eating pizza for lunch, would you give me a slice?

Person 5:
Thank you for taking care of yourself.
Person 7:
No way--I can't swim!
