Lyca was sleeping peacefully in Aloha. He has already eaten a good meal and was now relaxing under the shade under a palm tree. However, this was a peaceful memory of course. Now he was sleeping in a cave in the snow mountains in Kalos. Was it his fault that he was taken away from Aloha? No. Was it his fault that he experimented on? No. But he does blame the humans for the way he was now. Instead of being a Rock-type, he was now an Ice/Rock-type, which was unheard of. Meaning people will want him more, due to him being, in this case 'unquie.' It was also tiring. He was still a Rockruff, but with Cystrals of ice. But he was so caught up in thought, he didn't realize who was coming up on him.
Magic may be accepted as truth but is not common. It might be harnessed only by specific beings. Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones.
Near future, perhaps cloning and genetic manipulation
Combat is woven into the storyline and could come to the forefront if the characters seek it out.
Romance is desired but not required, and will balance evenly with other plot.
