It's year 2120 humanity has entered new age. holograms aren't thing of novelty but helpful utility. new means of energy generation have been introduced, while natural resources are excavated from space.
Peace has been maintained by politicians and many people behind the scenes who were willing to die for that cause, in fact it's been many years since last official military conflict has happened. Yet despite that tensions have been high and so war started.
That's where Algea comes in, special organization having agents with supernatural powers, working under general Alexander Walters. Their goal is to end war, however that's not simple thing to do, since it requires sacrifice of many people.
That's where your character/s comes in joining/being member of Algea

Magic is rare, but not unheard of. Mundane characters may or may not believe in it. Magical characters may form small and exclusive pockets for study, protection, etc.
Near future, perhaps cloning and genetic manipulation
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
Romance is desired but not required, and will balance evenly with other plot.
