What did I do deserve thisKuro thought as a cannon-shot was heard in the distance. Really what he do to deserve this? One moment, he's a quartermaster, next thing he knows, he's fighting people with a skeleton crew. No literally, he fighting with a skeleton crew while someone named Nagash, got his respect, he boarded his ship, nd checks the morale of the crew.
Nagash in his quarters when his the ship came under attack. He was able to dispatch these foes that would dare attack him and the ship he was transported on. So when the man called Kuro was the only survivor he was slightly impressed at the skills of the boy. He allowed him the title of quartermaster and gave him the tasks and hardships to prove to Nagash his worth aboard the Dread Abyssal.
Kuro was selling if the Ship was in good condition. And she normally was. Cannons were still firing. Gunpowder wasn't damp, as it couldn't fire if it was wet. Cannonballs were plentiful, Food stores was good. He checked these things off as he was next to the wheel of the ship, waiting for the captain. Know that he thinks about it, it going to be the closest he was going to be as a captain...Oh well, better not dwell on it. The crew respects him, and he and Nagash respect each other, so he ain't going to do anything to break that respect.
Nagash was up top inspecting ship and to check on the living man that was Kuro. Although it would take time Nagash was starting to like a Kuro a little bit... but it wasn't much. If he continued this way Nagash may even Kuro some powers that will make mortal men quake in their boots from the ferocity of the power. His Servant and right-hand man Arkhan The Black was aboard talking with Captain Abdel about the current sea levels and the wind and time to head back to Nagashizzar.
Kuro would look around and thought of the supplies the crew need. They needed guns, ammo, food, mostly for him, gunpowder, and maybe 4 new carronades for the front. They might also need better wood and maybe metal to put in between or on top of the wood for a better defense. Other then that, they were good. They had 34 broadside cannons, with 17 on each side, 2 pickle guns, 2 mortars and Oil that turns the ocean deadlier then it already is. So when he heard that they were going to Nagashizzar, he didn't care.HE wanted to be back on solid ground.
The captain was saying that they would reach the harbor in a few days and it would take 5 more days by foot to reach the gates of Nagashizzar. Arkhan sighed at the prospect of traveling for so long at sea but will take it as long as his lord would tell him. But for now, he would be near the helmsmen piloting the ship towards the harbor.
"So did Nagash say when we make landfall?"Kuro said with him putting his hood on.It was being to rain, which was common when being on the seas.
One of the Vampires aboard the ship as a lieutenant for the skeleton crew spoke, "Judging by the winds and weather will make landfall in around four days or three."
"4 or 5 days...I think I could tolerate that or a while."Kuro said as the rain pattered on his hood. He looked at the crew and saw that they were going at a brisk pace, meaning that they were also wanting to be on solid land.
The skeleton crew moved on the deck almost automatically like machines doing tasks with foreseen efficiency. There were a couple of vampires as leader to skeletons but were still peons compared to their lich masters like Nagash or Arkhan. Nothing happened for an hour before they were attacked by a mortar shot. Captain Abdel had everyone on deck to get to their station and arm and aim cannons to bear.
Kuro would hear the command and sked a few of the skeletons to arm the swivel guns.He looked around and tried to find the ship that fired at them.He looked at the damage and took a sigh as the motor shot hit the side of the ship.
((Oui oui, tis I))
An enemy ship had appeared over the horizon flying a green flag that bore a white serpent and a broad sword in the background. "It's a pirate ship alright," the captain told her first mate. Both were females of great skill and reputation in their homeland. "Fire again!" The captain called and more cannons were shot.
The captain of the ship, her name was Dianna Angevin. Neice to the Lord of her land and one who practiced the arts of leadership along with assassination. She was a woman with a stone-hard and icy glare. Dianna's crew did well not to make her angry or they'd receive the toughest chores to carry out. Dianna was slightly taller than the average lady, but one of amazing beauty. She had long blond hair and bright green eyes. Her skin was perfect and flawless and her overall physique absolutely stunning.
As for her first mate, Indigo Ashenford. She prefers to be called Felix and is a few years younger than Dianna. Felix is actually a part of a different region, but currently, the two are trying to form treaties and bonds. She's somewhat short with pixie cut black hair that has tanned brown tips. Her eyes are a blueish grey color and resembled that of steel. Felix is a wiz when it comes to anything machine or tech-related. She's often found hiding away and working on new projects. As for right now, she's on a mission with Dianna for the Lord of Sur.
"Sir," Felix addressed Dianna formally. "Is this necessary?" For a moment there was no reply as the blond looked out towards the stranger ship. "We cannot just alow pirates to roam free, Ashenford." "Sir.." Felix did the traditional two fingered salute.

The ship in question was on the stern mostly of the starboard side of the ship. It was brig with a flag and sails. The captain ordered the helmsman to turn the ship and get the broadside guns in range of the Brig. Abdel thought as he saw another ship appear at the stern and the vampire thought of how many of these are out here in the area for he believed this part of the sea was empty. So when the second ship appeared Captain Abdel order the mortars to be fixed and fire at the brig.
Arkhan, on the other hand, studied both ships and eyeing the other ship he nicknamed, "The Green Serpent". It fired on the ship that was attacking them giving them time to get them turned and fire at the pirates. Arkhan saw Kuro manning the swivel gun and firing the small but powerful gun at pirates. So he jumped from the helm to the deck and entered below the ship and would walk for a couple of seconds before reaching the main quarters of Nagash. As he opened it, he instantly got on one knee in his loyalty to Nagash was busy writing in a large black book. Arkhan said to his lord, "My almighty, powerful lord... we are under attack but we expect to dispatch these fools in a quick watery grave." The undead man said to the First Lich.

“Sir they are returning fire!” A shipmate called to Dianna.
“Well don’t let up fire until one of us sinks!” She commanded harshly and the crewman nodded before scuttling off. “I would just sail by,” Dianna told Felix in a undertone. “But I simply cannot allow a pirate ship to pass me. Not if I have a chance to bring it down.”
“Uhh. Sure.” Felix put her hands up in surrender and to show Dianna she wasn’t arguing. “Well, we could use the Ballista?” “Perhaps. Keep it hidden for now.”

He nodded slightly to him and told his servant, "We have take an endeavor than my servant... board the ship and kill the crew and capture the captain... you know what to do the bodies when you are finished with this plan of mine." If Arkhan could smile he would right now but he didn't and returned saying to Nagash, "It will be as you wished it my lord!" He then returned to the top deck where he ordered all the cannon crew to aim and take out the sails of the ships for boarding. The crew began to work overtime from the order of Arkhan and they switch the cannon shots from round shots to Chain Shots and began firing to take the sails out of commission.
“Let down the sails!” Dianna commanded and her crew went to work in doing so. Hopefully they’d be fast enough in order to preserve the sails should they have to make a quick get away.
“Ashenford! Arm the Ballista!” “Yes!”
Felix rushes below deck. One section of the ship had no cannons and there was a good reason for that. The wood drew back and revealed a giant crossbow. Felix loaded it and took aim. Then she shot at the pirate ship’s hull. Aiming to break through the wood and flood the ship.

Captain Abdel saw the Ballista shoot onto the ship and saw damage was nothing too major but it did take a single cannon out of commission. But the chain shots were noting only trying to take ou the sails but also the masts. When the ship had finished turning the ship to starboard, the 16 remaining cannons were all loaded and aiming at the sails and masts. Captain Abdel than gave out a single order onto the crew of the Dread Abyssal, "FIRE!" As 32 cannonballs came out of their barrels flying high in the sky coming down onto Arkhan's nicknamed enemy ship, "The Green Serpent."
The ship rocked back and forth. It was all Dianna could do to stay standing while Felix loaded another arrow. This time it was a barbed one with rope tied to it. She aimed and fired. The rope trailed out at the arrow flew over the sea.
It made impact and was imbedded into the enemy ship. Felix flipped a lever and the arrow was yanked back forcefully. Either it would come loose and bring a chunk of the ship with it or draw the ship closer to crewmen could board and fight.

One of the vampires on board looked at the Bolt lodge into the side of the ship. He saw as the ship was being pulled to the other ship. He ordered all the skeleton crew to take out swords and shields and prepare to board. As this happened Arkan prepared his word and staff as the ship drew closer for boarding.
Felix ducked and his. She wasn't one for actual combat. Dianna drew her sword and pointed it at the enemy ship. "Prepare to engage in combat, men!" The crew dropped what they were doing and grabbed weapons. As they grew closer Dianna narrowed her eyes. "What even are those things?" The skeletons and vampires became clear. "Dammit. We may have bitten off more than we can chew," she muttered and prepared herself. She would fight alongside her men. There was no backing down now. Felix had grabbed one of her gadgets and went to hide out of fear the men up top would be overrun.
