Cassie crashed through the bushes to some random house on the street, narrowly avoiding the pursuing monster's poisonous claws. "Come and get me!" She yelled slashing her sword in an arc, sparks shooting off the silver blade. She missed and followed the quick movements of the monster, flipping off a wall to dodge it's next attack. Hope I don't wake anyone. She grinned, more sparks shooting off her blade and a yellow-ish glow coming off her necklace. A claw hit her arm, turning part of her arm a sickly green color. "Shit, have to make this fast." Cassie cursed, dodging yet another attack by inches. She brought her sword down on the creatures head, making sure to cut it in half, and kicked it to the curb. "The trash is out." Cassie exclaimed, her energy quickly leaving her body. She fell to the ground, her vision blurring, and coughed blood onto the nice lawn. She saw the slight movement of the curtain before blackness obscured her vision totally.

Nomti hummed to himself as music pounded in his ears from the skull candy headphones on them. His eyes were open just enough to see anything that might block his path or to see the road and he seemed to be on a rather leisurely walk despite the time. He was wearing a pair of brown shorts and his bright red hoodie since it was a bit chilly that night.
He froze when up ahead he saw a form curled on a lawn and opened his eyes, his keen jackal vision easily picking out the human shape in the dim light from a street lamp across the street and he ran to the girl on the grass.
"Hey! Are you okay?" he asked worriedly as he helped her to sit up, "What happened?"

Cassie slowly opened her eyes to a boy, just a few years older then her, standing over her body. "P-poi-poison" She mumbled, looking down at her now green arm. "Ho-hospital." She managed to get out before coughing badly. "P-please h-help." She looked into his abnormally yellow eyes with her red ones and cradled her arm against her chest.
He nodded and pulled his cell phone out, immediately dialling 911.
"Hey! I have a girl here who's been poisoned somehow!" he said urgently then told the operator the name of the street they were on.
"You're gonna be alright," he said softly to her and pulled her so that her head was in his lap and he stroked her head to try and keep her calm. In the distance, the sound of an ambulance could already be heard.

As a large group of paramedics delicately placed the girl on a stretcher and loaded her in the back of the ambulance Garen noticed the commotion. He was very interested on what had happened. He usually liked the thrill of something, 'bad', happening. Being very intrigued he ran and slid under the vehicle without making the slightest of noises. Grasping the under belly of the ambulance he rode along with the vehicle until it stopped at the hospital. From the talking, the girl the was found had in some way been poisoned. And she also oddly carried a silver blade. No one quite knew why this girl needed a silver sword, but sure was Garen interested. He had been assigned a covert life among regular civilians, since he was young he was assigned a job from the government to discover and exploit any supernatural, or out of place events. And now he finally ha one since last month.
Cassie gently put her sword back in the scabbard as the paramedics put her in the truck and brought her to the hospital. She had made sure the boy that saved her had gotten to ride by her side. They carried her inside and brought her to the operating room to get the poison out of her veins. Giving her anesthetic the doctors got to work, unaware that the anesthetic didn't put her under.
Two painful hours later, they brought her to an empty room where she was laid on the bed and the boy was allowed in. Once the doctors left Cassie struggled into a sitting position and looked at the ceiling. "I a-almost d-died." Cassie croaked, her throat dry from the lack of water.

"I'm Nomti," he smiled back at her and looked at the sword with cofnusion but decided it would be best for the paramedics not to see it so he grabbed it and hid it under his hoodie.
"What's a Ragnork?" he asked with confusion as teh bright lights stopped next to him and the group of paremedics took Cassie into an ambulance.
"Do you know her?"
"No, but could I come with you?" Nomti asked worriedly and the paramedic thought for a moment then allowed the jackal boy to hop in next to Cassie.
"But you didn't," he smiled. Nomti had stayed at her side every moment that the medics had permitted him to and now he was sitting on the edge of her bed, "So, explain what happened?" he urged with a comforting smile, those big ears of his pricked forwards with interest.

"Le-lets see...." Cassie said picking up the water and drinking a bit. Once she drained the whole jug that was on the side table she told her story. "I was sitting in an alley, gazing up at the stars as storm clouds rolled in when I saw something moving in the shadows. I got out of there as fast as I could and ran until I had no breath left, the demon hot on my heels. I took some demonology classes in school before I quit, so I knew what kind of demon it was when I faced it."
Cassie paused for a bit of breath and continued. "It came at me with it's claws and I managed to slice on off before It started to run away. Halfway through the retreat it changed it's mind and came after me again, getting my arm. I cut it's head in half and kicked it to the curb where it returned to hell. Then I just passed out. The next thing I remember is seeing you." Cassie finished, checking her scabbard for her sword. "Where is my sword?" She asked confused.

Nomti listened with a raised eye, "What the hell kinda school did you go to?" he asked, and it sounded a lot more like she was quoting something from a cheesy story book, but it somehow made sense.
"Oh, here," he said and pulled the blade and scabbard from under his hoodie and handed it to her.

"Probably the school of freak barbarians." Garden mumbled then quickly covered his mouth realizing they might be able to here them. He shuffled a bit from the uneven road, it bumped and skidded all across the road, well, at least he could feel it. The others maybe not as much. His phone started to ring, he placed his hand around the speakers eliminating some noise, then silencing it. He answered. "Hello?" He whispered ever so quietly.
(I hope you're aware they're in the hospital)
(Crrraaaaaap... Lets say he was around the corner, other than the car stuff just keep the dialogue in play.)
Cassie tilted her head at the slight noise of someone muffling their words, dismissing it as a hallucination, she answered Nomti's question. "Uh, a demon preparation school..... Don't all kids go there nowadays?" Cassie asked. Her parents had put her in the local Demon Preparation School to prepare her for her future as a demon hunter. "Most mundanes can't see demons because mundanes can't see through the veil between worlds." Cassie explained, sounding more and more stupid each passing second.
"Uh huh..." he nodded. Nomti wasn't exactly mortal, what with traces of godly servants, but he was mortal enough that he couldn't see demons.
"You know, it's actually not the strangest thing I heard and I believe you."
"You know, it's actually not the strangest thing I heard and I believe you."
(Our characters can continue the conversation as long as nothing big happens)
"Really??" Cassie said, clearly dumbfounded by that remark. "Most people would call the cops and try to put me in an insane asylum....." She added, staring at the ceiling. "I wish I could see the stars." Cassie said completely out of the blue.
((Sorry for the short))
((Sorry for the short))
"You might as well be in an insane asylum. Most of these docs are going cray about you having a giant freaking silver sword." Garden stepped out from the shadows revealing his dark blue jeans and black hoodie. He put his hands out showing he was no concern. "Don't worry, I mean no, immediate danger." He smirked wildly.
Nomti immediately pulled the sword out of its scabbard and brandished it against the other boy, his tall ears laid back as far as they could be and he growled, "Who are you and how did you get in here?"
Cassie searched her pockets for other weapons, but came up empty. Frowning, she lazily pointed her hand at the boy instead. "I'm not in the mood to burn your ass like toast so tell us who you are." Cassie said, smiling a little at the thought.
