That afternoon Nelìs decided to amuse himself with his magic in the garden, having the water of a pond shape into a dragon that spewed water here and there. When he felt content he allowed it to fall back into the pond it once was.

There was the sound of movement behind him " that was col" Avalon said " i can control water but not like that" she said

He looked over his shoulder at her, "Why don't you come try? It's not too difficult."

avalon smiled " if you show me how" she said walking over to him.

"Alright, but first tell me what you think when you use magic," he smiled down at her.

" i focus on what im doing" she said looking at him

He tilted his head, "Nothing in particular?"

She shook her head " My father always teld me to keep my mind clear of all thoughts except for what im doing" she said

"I see," he looked out toward the pond. "I don't necessarily focus, but all you have to know it's the molecules of the water and what makes it up." The water began to form into a large hand reaching towards the sky. "If you know what something is made up of, it's easier to control. Even your own body." The water collapsed again.

He stared at her, "Now you try. Don't focus so much, just know."

Avalon drew some of the water from the lake into her hands and made it snake around her hands for a moment " water is not my best power" she said

"Then don't think of it as one," he made the water form into a rose in her hand, "don't think of it as water, think of it as molecules. Even I'm made up of molecules. I can just change them." He reached to touch her cheek, but his hand went through her instead.

Avalon blinked "thats interesting" She said " Can you do this?" She asked taking a few steps back and shifted into a white wolf with long fur and ice blue eyes.

He marveled her, "Yes, but I prefer not to. I can't contain my magic much if I'm an animal."

Avalon shook her fur "well shape shifting was the first thing i mastered" she said curling her tail around her paws.


Kava watched them from his window in his stuffy, annoyed but left them alone for now.

He laughed, "I was never able to learn that straight on. I found it a bit difficult.. But I do enjoy doing this."

Papers began to fly out of the mansion and began to form large expansive wings on his back.

Avalon laughed letting two wings form on her back " can you fly like that?" she asked

"Of course," he chuckled, "why have wings I can't fly with?" With a large flap of his wings he was thrust upwards.

Avalon smiled and followed him into the sky.

"Do you do this often?" He asked her, flying not so far above.

" not really" Avalon said flying beside him and smiled " like i said before i dont have friends. and its rare for me to get out" she said
