Crashing through fences and bushes, A young girl ran for her life. There was a demon chasing her and she had no clue why, again. Turning a quick corner into an alleyway, she realized all too late that she had trapped herself. "Shit" Cassie exclaimed as she rested her back against the wall, too high for her to scale. She brought out her katana as her key started glowing a fierce yellow again. Time to show thses assholes who they are dealing with.
Cassie swung her sword in an arc towards the demons head, but missed. "Why are you stupid things so fast." She gritted her teeth, looking for the new position of the Ragnork Demon. Finally seeing it in the shadows to her left, she flipped off the right wall, landing on it's slimy head. "Night Night" She exclaimed, stabbing it in the head with her sword.
It crashed to the ground with a sickening thud, dissolving into dust along the way. "Hope I didn't wake anyone." Cassie said, wiping her sword off on her pants and putting it back in the scabbard. "I would have some serious explaining to do." She smiled and glanced up at the beautiful night sky, sweat running down her face.

((I'll play Nelìs and Vague, but my focus will be more on Nelìs))
"I walked off with the book and the woman followed not that far behind," he laughed at ending his story that was supposedly funny, but he couldn't tell. Vágue had no expressions, nonetheless a face when he wasn't mirroring anyone.
Vágue simply stared at the man with not even giving gesture to what he was thinking. It was a silent moment until the ground shook with a thud then the abrupt silence took place again.. That was until they'd heard a voice, "I would have some serious explaining to do.."
With a quick glance towards each other, the two hurried toward the voice, but Nelìs had come into view first due to Vague now stealing the face of a woman he'd seen before.
"You alright, lass?" Nelìs asked, studying the girl who looked quite worn out.

Cassie scratched the back of her head, looking at the two new people in the alleyway. The funny thing was, she had only heard the footsteps of one. "Yeah, Just... Uh..." Cassie was working her mind to come up with a good excuse. Finally finding one, she smiled and wiped the sweat off her face. "Just a burglar." She said with just a seconds hesitation. "I took care of him though." She pointed to a very small puddle of blood left behind by the demon. It looked like human blood, but it was much more deadly. She tucked the top of her scabbard under the pink sweatshirt she was wearing and stretched. "Well-" Cassie heard something else above them, but tried to ignore it for the time being. I hate scaring mundanes.....
The young wizard raised a brow at the blood on the ground and the girl beside him simply remained impassive until she had abruptly tilted her head to the side, "That noise.."
Nelìs peeled his eyes from the strange woman then onto Vague, "What do you mean?" Anything Vague said, if any shouldn't be taken lightly. Demons were common in this time, but if that was what Vague was hearing he'd have to get the woman to safety immediately.

Cassie's head shot up, looking at the roofs above. A slight movement in the shadows alerted her to another demons presence. "They always travel in packs don't they." Cassie mumbled, taking her katana back out and backing up towards the mouth of the alley, beside the two new people. "I would run if I were you. Or stay and possibly get killed. Your choice." She said with a slight laugh as the Ragnork Demons jumped from the roofs. There was about 3 of them, all male and fully grown.
Nelìs was a bit taken back that a young woman like her would be.. Fighting demons, but he didn't ponder too long. The young wizard grinned at at the woman then turned to Vague, "We've dealt before."
Without a moment to waste Vague again turned blank to its simple white figure and started toward the beasts, cautiously, but Nelìs took a different approach and his arms were soon embraced in blue fire.

Cassie smiled at the two and her key glowed a fierce yellow. She swung her sword in an arc, a bolt of electricity shooting from the blade as it came down, hitting the first demon square in the chest. Using this opportunity as it sat there, stunned, she flipped over a second demon and landed on the Ragnork's neck. "I AM THE QUEEN OF THE WORLD!!" She cried with a laugh as she brought her, now electrified, sword down on it's head, burning what little brain it had to a crisp and cutting the whole head in half. "They cut just like butter." Cassie added wiping her sword off and glancing at the others.
Nelìs sidestepped the demon as it made an assault on him, scrapping the beast's flesh with the blazing fire that had soon dissipated it altogether. As for Vague, it had wrapped it's arms around the demon's throat waiting for an audible snap before it collapsed under the transverse's hold.
"That was exciting," Nelìs tamed the fire down to nothing, grinning widely as he crossed his arms over his chest, "May I ask your name."
Vague went to stand beside Nelìs, facing towards the woman and standing so still that he seemed to be nothing, but a statue.

"You can either call me Thunder, or Cassie." Cassie said laughing a bit. She walked over to the demons they had disabled and cut their heads off quickly. "Better safe then sorry." She said putting her sword away again. "And yours is?"
"Nelìs," he held out his hand toward the white figure, "and this is Vague. A friend of mine although he's quite.. vague.."
When the transverse didn't attempt to at least seem welcoming, Nelìs continued, his voice baritone and well-bred, "So what is a lass like you doing out here fighting demons anyway?"

"Hey hey hey. It wasn't my idea to be chased 10 blocks into an alley way in the middle of the night by demons." Cassie said, aware of Vague's unwelcoming posture. She reached into her pocket and took out some chewing gum, offering Nelìs some. It didn't look like Vague had any kind of mouth, so she just didn't offer him any.
Nelìs gave a throaty laugh as he took her offer, "Who knows, you may have edged them on somehow." He said jokingly as he threw the gum into his mouth, studying her.
Vague, in the meantime, had stolen her face that held a grin, "And you're not going to give me a piece of gum?"

Cassie wasn't surprised at Vague's change of face. Instead she playfully thew a piece of gum at him too and laughed. "So what are you two doing walking the streets at this hour of the night?" She asked, popping a piece of gum into her own mouth.
Of course he wouldn't tell her that he'd been constantly traveling though time, studying here and there, "Just walking back from a party. It sucked though." He'd also taken the time to practice speaking in their modern languages, even using an accent to seem more plausible.
Vague took the gum and put it in her mouth, "Hell, they were all drunk.." The transverse was the perfect liar. That's how it lived after all.

"Shame I missed it." Cassie said with a small frown. She loved parties, especially crashing them. "I just hope there aren't anymore demons around..." She added, glancing around the small alleyway.
"They're always around," Nelìs sighed, crossing his arms over his broad chest, "Shouldn't be too long until we run into another."
"I wonder what they come from," Vague tiled her head, making the same face Cassie had done earlier.

"You mean where? Hell of course. Demons have been living for millions of years, they don't just die when you kill them. They just go back to hell and you'll be luck not to see them again for your life. When you kill a demon, it doesn't die. It just disappears, re-forming in hell to come back later." Cassie tried to explain the concept. "I'm not very good at explaining things." She leaned against the alley wall and took her cellphone out, checking her messages. None, from friends at least.
Nelìs grinned, "Demons aren't allowed to rest till their duty is fulfilled. No matter what we do, we'll be battling for ages to come."
Vague abruptly turned blank, not moving an inch from where he stood and Nelìs took notice, "Ah. Well I'm afraid we'll have to leave now lass, although I wouldn't mind if you want to come along."

"I'll take you up on your offer." Cassie said standing up straight again and walking next to Nelìs. "I don't got anywhere else to go anyways." She added, tucking the top of her katana under her pink sweatshirt.
He smiled, "It'll be nice to have you around, Vague isn't really easy to converse with." The wizard laughed wholeheartedly.
Vague slightly tilted its head at the two.
"We'll be uhm.. Well it wasn't necessarily the truth when I told you we were leaving a party. I suppose I have to tell you since you're joining us," he smiled apologetically.
