the world around Jack was dark.. to dark for his liking, all around him the dark water of the river swirled around him. He was unconscious. After hitting his head on rocks a trail of blood followed him as the river dragged him farther and deeper down.

Gavin struggled to stay upright as he saw the river was a crimson red, but not from his own wounds. He saw a man a couple years younger then himself half submerged in the river. Sighing, Gavin pulled the dagger out of his own leg and threw it at a nearby tree, the dagger wedging itself into the bark. He wadded into the river and caught the boy right before he hit his head again, the blood in the river darkening from both mens blood. Gavin pulled him out of the river and carefully setting him on the grass, putting his backpack under his head. "Don't die on me kid." Gavin said as he started to pump on the boys chest.

Jack coughed up water and moaned softly putting a hand to his bleeding head.. He open his green eyes now glassed over and pail "wh where am i? Why is it so dark" he asked weakly

"Shh don't talk." Gavin said, surprised that this boy was conscious. He ripped the sleeve of his cloak off and bundled it up, putting it on the boys bleeding head. He held the cloth over the wound while taking out his cellphone and dialing 9-1-1. "Hello? I have a boy here who hit his head somehow and is bleeding. He doesn't seem to be able to see either." Gavin said into the receiver. "I'm at the Gavin River." He added, and nodding to himself. "Alright, Thanks." He added, hanging up.

"They can't get the ambulance to the river, but they can get it to the road over that hill." Gavin said pointing to the hill to their left. "Hang on kid, I'll get you to safety." He added, ripping his other sleeve off and using it to tie the cloth to Jacks head. Gavin picked Jack up, putting him on his back, and picket his backpack up and putting it in his own mouth.

Gavin worked his way up the hill, careful not to slip in the mud that came from the rain earlier. When they finally got over the hill the paramedics came up to the top and helped Gavin with Jack, careful not to touch Gavin's wounded leg. "Let me come with him." Gavin asked the paramedics. "You better with that leg of yours." One of them said, helping Gavin and Jack into the ambulance.

(If I assumed too much just tell me. I just realized how much I actually wrote. ))

Jack had passed out again by the time he was put in the ambulance, he had lost quite alot of blood, and had a bad head injury.

They raced along the streets, the ambulance siren blaring, trying to get to the hospital in time. The paramedics were already treating to Jacks wounds on Gavin's command. "HE needs more help then me!" He continually shouted every time they tried to help him.

Once they got to the hospital they brought Gavin and Jack inside, separating them from each other. They brought Jack to an operating room to stitch that head wound up, and Gavin to another room to close his leg wound. Gavin tried to go see Jack but the doctors wouldn't let him up from his hospital bed. "YOU BETTER LET ME UP!! I AM BRIGADIER GENERAL JACKSON!!" He yelled at the doctors before they had to sedate him to keep him calm.

Jack moaned, he was still out of it. He was very pail from the lose of blood and seemed to gave a bit of truble breathing from the water stil in his lungs

The doctors got Jack stitched up and in a room on oxygen since he was haveing trouble breathing, though he remained unconcious.

Several hours later they let Gavin see the strange boy that had almost drowned. Knocking on the door lightly, he entered the room and sat in the chair next to the boy. He looked much better then he did in the river when Gavin saved him, and more importantly he was awake. "What were you doing in the river kid?" he asked, even though the boy was only a couple years younger then himself. Gavin poured some water and handed it to the boy, sure the anesthetic the doctors used was making his throat dry.

"I.. dont remimber... I fell in.. I think" he said with a moan, he payed no mind to the water becuse being blind he was unable to see it.
