This Looking For RP topic is marked as closed, meaning it is no longer seeking new players.
So here's a tricky little search! I'm searching for Harry Potter RP, with a strong preference to group RP. However, I am explicitly NOT searching for NSFW, smut, or indeed even G-Rated Romance. I'm not into RPing romance, it's not my thing. If this ends up as a group, it's perfectly fine if others in the group are RPing romance, I just don't want it forced on my char.
You'd think that wouldn't be a huge issue, given romance isn't a huge defining factor of HP, but it is a huge defining factor of RP, so here I am with this search.
I'm down for post-series timelines and pre-series timelines (including Maurauders) but I'm especially excited for the concept of a during-series timeline. I'd love to RP with canons -- particularly the profs and the Weasleys -- but I won't make it a requirement, it's just something I'm excited about. I would be primarily playing an OC, but I'm open to the possibility of doubling up to play a canon or two if canons are an option, and especially if this ends up being a 1x1 or small group rather than a large group.
My OC concept isn't too odd (for Hogwarts) on the surface, but there's some pretty heavy concepts underneath.
I don't acknowledge Cursed Child or Fantastic Beasts 2 as canon.
I mostly do para or semi-para posting. Not a fan of one-liners.

Magic is fairly common. Players and NPCs important to the tale may have it. Mistborn.
Modern
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
Some romance is possible, but the overall plot is more important.
Details: Occasional dice use, paragraphs required, long-term RP partner preferred.
