To join: Just message me and let me know what role you want in the story. It's pretty flexible.
This is my first post, I'm new here. What I have in mind is mostly drama. I'm also planning to include some fictional characters (i.e. fairies, spirits) in the town mentioned later on. In said town, people and mythical creatures live in harmony. There can be serious moments, funny moments, slice of life moments.
After losing his parents in a train accident, Milo doesn’t know what to do. It happened on the Christmas they were supposed to come visit him. The ice caused the rail lines to crack. And that was that.
Shock and confusion cause him to lock his feelings away. He falls into a state of denial by telling himself it didn’t happen; that the train was just delayed. That way they wouldn’t be completely gone. His life becomes a pattern of alternating between homes of relatives. They provide him with a place to live, but everyone - including Milo - knows the truth: nobody really wants him. The boy smiles through it all, never letting his real emotions shine through. He keeps pretending he has everything: a home, a family, a happy life...but those are the things he’s most lacking in. In reality the boy’s life becomes dull and lonely in spite of the forced positivity. His only company are the bears given to him each time he goes to court. He has nine of them already. On the day he receives the tenth, Milo is sent off to live with some distant uncle. The 7-year old doesn’t expect it to be different from the rest.
He boards the bus to some unheard-of rural town shrouded in rumors and tall tales. It’s far away, which is good because he can leave some of his memories behind. But it could be just one other place where he doesn’t belong.
Armed with his teddy bears, a compass that no longer works, a backpack of odds and ends, his father’s service cap, and an imaginary friend, Milo sets off to restore his life to the way it once was. The accident took everything away from him, but this single trip would give him back so much more.
By entering this strange and crazy new life, he will eventually find friendships, humor, moments of kindness, the courage he needs to finally accept reality, and most of all: a loving family- what he was missing all along.

Magic is fairly common. Players and NPCs important to the tale may have it. Mistborn.
Modern
Small possibility of combat, usually brief and not detailed.
Romance is slightly desired, but the overall plot is more important.
Details: Freeform, adjustable length posts, long-term RP partner preferred. Will be played with a small group of players.
Welcome and I would love to do this with you

Oh, hello. I'm still here. It's just that the notifications really don't work well for me. Sorry about that. Would you be interested or are you just stopping by?
Hello there! I'm interested in joining. Which characters do you prefer? I can see myself bringing in fantasy characters of my own such as elves, goblins, or orcs. Would that be okay with you? Pm me and I can show you some of my own (that haven't been listed in my profile).
