Eshe found the path through the fog and began moving along it ver quickly. Soldiers on both sides parted for her as her laced paws shifted the sands.
"What are you doing here?" she asked with a growl as soon as she spotted Mirage and he was within hearing distance, "You're ruinin my fun!"

Miri shrugged. "Why not be here?" He brought his hands up, then pushed down on the air, sending the fake fog disappearing into the ground. All was as clear as it had been. "Just wanted a better view." The mirage smiled at the anubite in front of him.
The priestess growled, "You made the fog!" she huffed and crossed her arms. "Go away."
Miri nodded. "I didn't want to miss anything while I found a better spot. Why are you always telling me to go away?" He gave her a perplexed look. "You're not of the nicest bunch are you?"
"I'm plenty nice, I don't trust you," she retorted, "Show that I can trust you and maybe then I'll like you."
"Oh yes, because I have given you so much reason to not trust me in the two times we have met!" Miri rolled his eyes and leaned against a shimmering mud brick wall. "You don't seem like the nicest of people. You've told me to leave both times you've seen me, and we have hardly spoken. You didn't even let me have that much fun before yelling at me this time!" He stood up and crossed his arms at her, the wall disappearing.
"You haven't given me a reason to trust you either," she turned and walked back to her pillar and just say on it, "You can watch but don't mess with em," she said and gave the soldiers a dismissive wave to the soldiers and they began to fight again.
"I could say the same," he muttered as he walked behind the pillar, trying to stand more out of the way than he was before. "Better?" He asked the anubite.
"Yes," she nodded and watched as the two armies gradually began to diminish in size, finally leaving just two soldiers, one on each team. One of them was just a lowly archer and the other was an guy on an elephant. The creature trumpeted loudly and ran forwards at the archer, who at the right moment shot an arrow between the eyes of the beast, sending it tumbling to the ground where it crumbled, along with it's rider.
Eshe's sand pillar lowered and she inspected the battlefield: it didn't look like anything had happened at all. Eshe walked up to the archer and touched his head, granting his team a special power for the next time and making him crumble. By now, night has fallen though and Eshe looked around for Miri.

"Right here," said the mirage of the desert. He was behind and a little to the right of the priestess. His appearance was faded and one might be able to look over him had he not been wearing red. As the battle had died down, he watched the final clash, but then turned his attention to the night time sky, exploding with stars and soft light.
She looked over at him and sighed, "Is there anything you'd like to talk about?" It was a sincere question.
Miri shrugged. "What do people talk about?" As weird as the question sounded, Miri actually didn't know. He usually had interaction with others, but it seemed that this life cycle things were different. He had rarely met any others in the desert, only finding them after his mirages did, by then it was often too late.
She shrugged a little, "I dunno actually... Um... What's it like to be a mirage?"
Miri raised a brow. "Lonely. What's it like to be a anubite priestess?"
"If I said lonely I would be lying..." she started, "Sometimes it's interesting, like when the dead rebel, but mostly it's just boring."
Miri nodded. "What do you do all the time?"
"Well, we priestesses are healers. We mostly take care of the sick and injured. Sometimes we help during embalming ceremonies."
Miri wrinkled his nose. "Ew."
"It's only gross if you think about the physical part of it," she shrugged,
"I prefer mirages to corpses," Miri said, quickly attempting to change the subject. His face suddenly lit up as an idea came to mind. "I found a ruins once, I can't get in but it looks like it was created several of my life times ago, and I can't remember it nor get in. Maybe you can?"
