This lit a spark of interest and her eyes brightened, "Alright! I can try!"
"Of course! It's... uh..." Miri looked around the desert with a look of confusion on his face. "One second," he said before blinking away. He was gone for several minutes before blinking back to the same spot he was just in. "It's that way!" The Desert Mirage said excitedly. He was pointing north east of their current location. "We actually aren't too far from it, I didn't know how close we were until I went there. It's mostly under sand though."
"I can control sand," she reminded him, "Lead the way... And why can't you get in if you can just poof in an out of places?"
With a smile Miri lead the way to the ruins he had discovered. "I tried popping in but something prevented me from doing so, I'm not sure. Maybe it's filled with sand or maybe something else won't allow me to enter," he explained. He hiked over the first sand dune and pointed off in the distance. "It's on the other side of that sand dune over there, the one after the one in front of us."
"Just tell me when to stop walking," she rolled her eyes and continued after him.
Miri blinked to the base of the next sand dune. "Oh come on!" He hollered to her. "It isn't that bad!" He blinked to the top, lost his footing, and rolled back to the bottom. "Ouch," the mirage muttered as he got up and shook himself. "Two to go!" he said once the priestess reached where he was.
"How can a Mirage get hurt from falling?" Eshe asked curiously as she slid down the dune.
Miri rolled his eyes. "I speak for effect. At least I can't get hurt," he teased.
She climbed up the next sand dune with ease and began to him softly to herself. It was a soft and sweet tune that was a little bit enchanting.
Miri decided to walk this time, and kept pace beside the anubite. He noticed her humming and listened to it for a little as they finished the last dune. "You hum well," he complimented. He turned around and scanned the sandy wasteland. "Aha!" he shouted and blinked to a spot in the sand that jutted out just a bit. "This is the peak, I think. I know it's hollow but I don't know anything after that."
"Thank you," she blushed and then looked down at he sand beneath their feet upon his announcement, "Alight, watch this," she grinned and close her eyes, said a small chant the flung her arms out to the side. All of the sand except for what was right below them shot out to the sides and settles in massive piles. The sand beneath them began to sink slowly, and finally stopped them at the entrance of the temple which was now surrounded by high walls of sand.
"Alright, let's go."
"Alright, let's go."
A whistle sounded form the Desert Mirage's lips. "That was almost cool enough for me not to bring up you blushing. But now that's done and over with." He gave a quick smile and then exclaimed, "that was great!" Miri walked up to the entrance and put his hand against the strange design. "Doesn't look like your average temple, and I still can't get in." His face twisted in confusion. "See if you can get in at all."
Her cheeks turned even more red and she walked towards the entrance with an embarrassed huff.
"Let's see..." Eshe walked to the entrance and put her hand out to see if she could walk through the large threshold. She didn't make contact with anything and walked just inside.
"Yeah, I have no trouble," she said and turned around to face him then cast a light spell, which illuminated the whole temple.
Sitting in a throne right behind her was a massive statue of Sobek, god of the Nile and of crocodiles. He had the body of a man and head of a crocodile. Atop his head was a crown with horns curved up like the pincers of a scarab. His eyes were made of rubies and the necklace seemed to be made of all sorta of precious stones.

Miri smiled at his accomplishment and whistled at the contents of the the temple. He slowly took a step and was delighted to be able to walk inside of it. "Well I can walk in here, but I couldn't pop into here, must be something around here." He shrugged and began admiring the necklace. "Think I'd look good with that?" He asked and formed a mirage replica around his neck.
"Nope," she said rather bluntly and looked around. "Okay, this is obviously a temple to Sobek... But why is it so far from the Nile and buried underneath so much sand?" she mused as she used her powers I make all the sand inside the temple rush outside, revealing a floor made of marble and what appeared to be a single giant slab of ruby, polished to a mirror's shine. "Wow," she got down on her knees and traced her fingers across the heiroglyphs etched into it. It was hard to read since there were no lines defined with black paint, just the etchings.
"Ouch..." Miri muttered and let the necklace fade away. After watching the anubite, he had an idea. "Here, let me try something." As a master or images, he layed a black canvas behind the letters, so they stood out just a tiny bit more with their shallow indents now filled with black. "That help at all?" He asked.
She smiled up at him, "Thanks," she said and looked back at the text. "This temple to Sobek, blah blah blah... Guardian of the soul stone... That sounds interesting," she mused and looked back at him, "Never heard of that."
"Huh," said the mirage. "Who's soul are we talking about?" He was both repulsed and intrigued at the name of this item. Intrigue won.
"It's not someone's soul," she rolled her eyes, "Well... I don't think so," she said and continued reading, "Sobek's curse be upon thee who does not deserve the soul stone and yet takes it for his own gain. Let vision and judgement be the ones who hold it and use it for righteousness," she read out loud.
Miri's eyes widened as his companion spoke. He listened to what she said and, after a pause, spoke. "I want it." A wild smile grew larger and larger as he thought about it. "How can I get one?"
