"You don't even know what it does though," she huffed and continued reading, "And u really don't think you're going to get anything except for a curse, because you don't seem to have vision, at least in the sense that it seems to mean, or judgement. I at least have judgement," she said with a condescending tone, "And this is probably the only one too..." she mused as she read, "Ah, here it is... If you pass the trials, the power imbued within the soul stone shall be given into thee, judgement and vision, for thy hath proven thine selves worthy... Selves?" she paused then continued, "You shall control the whims of whoever you desire, create duplicates of any being and be on par with the gods themselves..." the young priestess looked up at Miri, "Well... I feel like that's not something you should ever get your hands on."
"Hey!" Miri paused and let the other insult sink in. "Hey!" He called again. "It's not like I would use it to control the emperors, raise a hopeless army to fight against the gods to cause unbalance, then through myself into the void it leaves all in order to be praised for ever by those I used for my devious plan!" He smiled again, white teeth shimmering. "And it's not like you can see more than me."
"I don't think it means vision as in sight. It means vision as in ideals and creativity and that sort of stuff," she countered, "I'mat least 95% sure that's what it means."
"I know," he said quickly, "that's what I meant in the first place. Are we going to argue about this or figure out how I can get it?"
"I don't think that's a good idea at all," she shook her head, "You have terrible judgement, especially if you think that you can have such a tool."
"You have got to be freaking kidding me!" Vladimir dashed through sand toward the temple. "I have worked all of my life to find the lost temple of Sobek and two random travelers get here first?" He angrily stomped toward the entrance of parted sand. He stood there amazed. His mouth stood agape in awe. "This must be the work of the Gods." He slowly stepped into the clearly, he then harshly plopped down on his knees into the ground. He unstrapped his sack and took out a half-full canteen of water and a stale piece of bread. He greedily drank the water and savagely devoured the bread. "Alright now," he shouted to the people inside the temple. "Who are you and what are ya doin' here?" He readily held a scabbard behind his back.
"I don't really want to use it, I just want to-" Miri was cut off by another man calling to them. He finished slowing "have it..." The Desert Mirage vanished from his location and reappeared behind the man, tapping him on the shoulder. "Well we know each other, so the question is who are you?" He noticed the sword and his eyes grew a bit larger. "Eshe, he's got a weapon!"
He quickly summoned a mirage and two stone soldiers stepped out from the walls in front of them. "I'd put that down if I were you."
He quickly summoned a mirage and two stone soldiers stepped out from the walls in front of them. "I'd put that down if I were you."
"I can see that he's got a sword, Miri," Eshe rolled her eyes and with a wave of her hand, a massive pile of sand rushed in and buried Vladimir up to his neck.
"But I agree with my friend here," she said and walked up the pile and knelt in front of his face, "Who are you? You are not from this desert land... You're from the far north... Germany maybe? Or Kievan Rus?"

The Mirage stuck his tongue out at her, "I was just making sure!" Miri had been partially buried by the sand, or it looked like that was the case. It had actually passed through Miri, who had changed into a less solid state, becoming wholly mirage until he stepped out of the sand and perched himself on the pile behind the man. The two beings he summoned still stood off to the side, both holding menacing looking round shields and scimitars. "We could just bury him and forget about him... it happens all the time in the desert."
Vladimir just stared at them in awe. "Y-your Gods aren't you!" He looked at the sand around him, apparently to dumbfounded to realize that he was stuck in a pile of sand. "Only a God could accomplished what you just accomplished." He jut stared in awe at the two people. "A-and you! Your just an illusion, just a mira..." He paused. "Your the Desert Mirage!" He laughed. "I am in the presence of the Desert Mirage!" He looked at the Anubite. "Right you are, from Germany, an explorer sent from the government." He gestured with his head to the temple. "To find that." He rested his head on the small mound of sand behind him. "What a day."
Miri beamed. "Yep! That's me! Wait... what's Germany?" Although he was the keeper and controller of mirages, Miri never really traveled to other deserts in other lands, well not that he could remember. As he spoke the two soldiers vanished into thin air, leaving just the three of them.
"Pfft, I am no god, and neither is he. I've got no idea who this doofus is aligned to, but I am an Anubian priestess, a healer and patron of Anubis, our god of judgement," she said dutifully, "Forcwhat reason were you sent here? Can you even read out language?"
((found it!))
Miri realized the man was not replying and looked to Eshe. "Um..." He trailed of as he poked the mostly buried man. "He isn't talking... I think you killed him."

The priestess' eyes went wide, "W-what?!"
Miri spoke much slower this time. "Yoooouuuuu... kiiilllllleeedddd... hiiiiiimmmmm." He turned back to the man and poked his cheek. "See?"
"I-I've never killed someone..." her tall ears went flat and she whimpered.
This caught the mirage by surprise. "Really? You have those little wars all the time don't you?" He summoned several small mirage duplicates of her soldiers and they hashed it out on the sand mound.
"They aren't alive!!!" she protested and sat down with her knees to her chest
"Well, er..." Miri stumbled over whatever he could say. He had no idea what to do right now. "Do not fret on it," he tried.
She just whimpered and closed her eyes. "L-let's keep going in..."
