Dmitri stood up, the large man all the more intimidating by the spiked, bone armor on his body.
"She can make her own decision without you. You have no right since you obviously haven't web here for her in a long time," Dmitri said and put a comforting hand on Kotaru's shoulder.

The thought of Dmitri and Thalia actually protecting her suprised Hotaru. She promised herself that she would look our for these two, especially. Hotaru stares at Jason, her emerald eyes flashing. "I made an agreement. I stick to my word. Something you should do more often."
Jason winces and Hotaru's harsh words before glancing around the room, contemplating his odds. There was no way he could snatch Hotaru up, and run. He doubted that he'd get to the door. Finally, he made his choice. "Fine. If you wont come with me, I'll go with you." He looks around the room, an air of finality about him.
Leith stood, with an annoyed expression. He walked over to Hatoru and placed a hand on her shoulder with a smile,"She is in the very best care. Each and everyone one of us are skilled and will look out for one another. Should you need to test that ability I will happily stand to protect her word.he took a step forward, reaching a hand back to grab the handles of his chain scythe.
He paused as he offered to accompany them,"perhaps you could be of use."he sighed and pulled his hands from his weapon. A bit disappointed.

Dmitri glared at the rogue but said nothing to him.
"If you're coming, that means you're helping all of us, not just your sister," the khajiit warned Jason.

I don't like that guy. Jason thought, examining the rouge. "Its been delt with. I will accompany you. End of story. And I can most certainly be useful. Jason stares at Dmitri and Leith, he eyes saying it all: Don't touch my sister.
Growling, Thalia opened her mouth to protest, but Velan moved forward and leaned on her shoulder from behind. He whispered something in her ear, and the Paladin hesitated.
"….fine." Thalia finally relented after several long moments of glaring at Jason. "But just know that I'll be keeping my eye on you."

Hotaru balls her hands into fists, resisting the urge to attack her brother. So over protective... She thought. Hotaru smiles in thanks at Dmitri and Leith. Turning to Thalia, she squares her shoulders. "When do we leave?"
Leith glanced around. He was getting the feeling he was not liked among this group but his smile didn't't falter. His arms crossed over his chest as he leaned back against the nearest wall,"Will we be going then? Or would anyone else like to join as well?"he glanced around the inn with a sigh,"this journey should be quite...fun with this lot."
"Now that we're…all…here, we'll leave immediately." The Paladin replied with a nod to Hotaru. "That way, we'll reach the Black Forest by noon, and hopefully reach a trader's outpost by nightfall." They had a long ways to go until the ultimate goal of their journey, and the first obstacle was the foreboding Black Forest.
"We'll definitely reach a trader's outpost by nightfall." Velan corrected, hoping to keep any doubts out of the itinerary, considering the conversation that had only just defused. "The first one isn't too far into the forest, and they're well protected. Good placed to spend the night." He added cheerfully.

Hotaru pulls up her hood and nods. "Alright then. We should be on our way, in that case." Jason rises, with the intent to protect Hotaru. Hotaru glares at him. "I think I will travel with Dmitri and Leith." She says. Hotaru glares at him, square shouldered, daring him to comment.
Dmitri glared at Jason, "I will say it again. You have not been there for your sister. You have no right to demand anything of her, comrade," he spat the last word out and then looked at Thalia, "You have my axe... And sword... And bow."
Leith let out a long drawn out sigh,"Let's begin heading out, I don't believe Miss Thalia wishes to sit here, wasting precious time as well setter sibling issues."he growled slightly. This was really beginning to get annoying.
Jason glared at him, and watches as his sister goes to stand between the rouge, and Dmitri. He wants nothing more than to snatch the pest off of his feet, and rip him to shreds. Biting his tongue, he moves to the back of the group, and decides to simply ghost... For now. Jason says nothing, but keeps a distant watch on Hotaru.
"Thank you, Dmitri…and sir Leith." The Paladin smiled quietly at them. Stiffly turning her back to Jason, Thalia brushed past Velan - who was quick to follow her - and out through the inn's front door. Outside, the old town and its muddy roads were all dusted with a layer of fluffy white ash.
Some hopeful people still walked about with scarves or cloth over their nose and mouth, but far more were less optimistic, and had given up trying to defend against the pervasive substance that had fallen from the skies for several months. Thalia herself couldn't restrain a slight cough as her steps kicked up small puffs of ash, and she covered her mouth in a delayed response as she turned right and headed for the stables located beside the inn.
Here, the innkeeper ran a side business that bought and sold horses, and stabled the steeds of the inn's patrons. Many of the innkeeper's stock had been sold away to those wanting to flee the dismal conditions, but a few horses still took shelter beneath the wooden roof of the stable. One of these horses, a massive black stallion already brushed and saddled by eavesdropping stable hands hoping for an extra tip, lifted his head and nickered as the group approached.
"Good morning, Barda," Thalia smiled, her previously rough attitude dropping as she moved through the stable gate and reached to untie the reins that held the stallion in place. "Ready for another long day's ride?"

Leith strolled besides Hatoru, his eyes glancing around as they Headed towards the stables, located so close to the inn. He whistled at the large black stallion with a smile,"What a lovely creature."he murmured and stood off to the side of the stables, glancing around the streets. He sneezed slightly from the ash that continued to rain down from the sky.
Hotaru follows after Thalia, making sure to keep away from Jason, and between her two male companions.
Hotaru stops, a few feet away from the stables, watching the horses nervously. Animals tended not like her, thinking she was a predator looking for a meal, not a ride. "I think I'll just run," She said, eyeing the stallions. "I'm not very talented at riding horses... I can't manage one on my own."
Dmitri put his helmet on and walked out. A special enchantment on it allowed him to breath under water, and apparently that transferred to ash as well.
"You could ride with me, Miss Kotaru," Dmitri offered and gestured to a large, brown mare with white and black spots, not exactly the horse one would expect to have, like a destrier.
"She's gentle, I promise," he said and gently stroked the horse's snout. She whinnied and nuzzled into his palm then stamped a hoof, showin that she was ready.

Hotaru eyes the horse, and slowly reaches out to touch it. "I think that might be best..." Hotaru smiles as she strokes the gentle creature. The mare seemed calm, considering she hadn't tried to kick her yet. She turns to Dmitri. "I may need help mounting."
