I have only joined RPR a couple of days ago. Currently, I am looking around to see what intricacies the site has to offer. So far, I like what i see. I commend the Staff and other members for the hard work in keeping this site running and making it what seems to be a friendly place to role-play *smiles*. I look forward to exploring more over the next few days.
I do have several characters that I have had for almost 9 years now. They are a rather eclectic lot, but I do have a fondness for darker characters (note: not necessarily "evil"). The mix of five characters ranges from an eccentric, shape-shifting snow leopard anthro (who was part of a WWII plot) to a mild-mannered consensual slave who has a reason or two to find herself in mens' clothing from time to time (far from the typical reason for such). Despite this, I enjoy building new characters and have no issues doing so.
I absolutely adore group role-plays as well as long-tern role-plays. I have and will play most settings, Sci-fi being the only exception (nothing against it; it is just my preference), though fantasy and alternative modern (alternate world) settings tend to be favorites.
As it stands right now, I have a rather extensive Freewebs/Webs site dedicated to my life, role-playing, and my characters. I am currently debating whether to transfer everything here or just leave it be and offer links to such via a page here with brief character introductions/descriptions. It just seems somewhat...pointless for me to transfer everything directly from there to here. If anyone has any possible suggestions on this matter, feel free to let me know as it is a bit of a conundrum for me now. I most certainly do not wish to bore anyone with links (even if what they find on the other side is well worth it) when the pages here are meant to be for our characters and not just a reference to our characters located elsewhere.
If anyone cares to take a look at the site (yes, it needs updating), here is a link. The "Mirror of Fantasy" section is where the role-playing information begins. *laughs* I created these sites when I was still playing in Yahoo Chat, hence the extensiveness of the role-playing sections.
In terms of what I am looking for currently, I am open to a variety of role-playing ideas (not limited to those I have mentioned here). I am giving my express permission to allow and encourage anyone that wishes to do so to send me a link and a description of your group and/or role-playing scenarios. My only request is that you/your group are plot-intensive and that you/your group are original in what you propose (nothing video-game/television show-themed, please). *smiles* I deeply appreciate effort and creativity in role-playing, and I will offer you the same along with courteousness, regardless of whether I am part of your role-play or not.
That said, I look forward to learning more about RPR and exploring the creativity to be found here.

We are very pleased to have someone so dedicated to RP and to their characters, and I myself would love to RP with you sometime if you see fit. ^^
As for your conundrum with the websites, I truly can't give a very good opinion. My freewebs attempts have never worked out very well, and I honestly find RPR much easier to navigate/change. But then again, I've never been very good at freewebs. You could always try out making a website for your character on here, and then go with what you feel is the best and most convenient for you! I hope you do find a solution soon.

It is fantastic to read such a thorough introduction. I always think that things go smoother when people think to tell us about themselves and their characters. It lets us all know what sorts of things to suggest and invite you to down the road.
