This Looking For RP topic is marked as closed, meaning it is no longer seeking new players.
I've created a role-play - which, I'll admit, is going to have two versions. One is a 1x1 with a friend and I, and then one on here, where I'll have three open spots. One of them is reserved, pending, so until further notice, two are available. Take a look, and tell me what you think. Any questions, just ask.

Introduction;
The video started with an eerie static, the frame unsteady and shaking; before long it finally settled into place, showing what appeared to be an inner-city apartment. The window in view was boarded up, screams could be heard, chaos ensuing everywhere around. A man slowly sat down infront of the computer. He was haggard; blonde hair a mess, glasses barely still on his face.
"My name is-" he paused when the sound of a shriek overtook his words; it was getting closer, and he was obviously in a hurry. He reached beside the computer and grabbed a destroyed pack of cigarettes, shakily pulling one from its confines and lighting it, making it seem to be the most difficult chore he had ever experienced.
"My name isn't important," more static, more screams, "What's important is... this is it. It doesn't matter anymore. We're going extinct, and our time is up. The Mayans were right... oh God, they were right!"
Sweat poured from his brow, his voice cracking with every other word, as if he might break down crying at any moment, but he held it in, glancing hurriedly between one end of the room to the other, smoke exhaling from his lungs in short, sporadic bursts.
"The mutations are taking over. No where is safe; there are people that seem to be resistant to it... but most are dying anyway from the attacks. But I think I know what we can do to stop this," he stamped his cigarette out, "My logs aren't here, but, I can tell you this... it's the sp-" glass shattered and dust flew, wood splintering about the room as every man's nightmare come through.
The blur of a creature flashed by, the screams of the man over riding its ferocious growls. The camera toppled to the floor, shortly after, so did the man. Mutilated, empty eyes staring into nothingness as the camera continued to record, capturing the grotesque mutation of what appeared to have been a dog at one point going about devouring his now lifeless body.
This really was it. The Mayan's had predicted the fall of mankind. And they were right.
Setting
The world had been going about it's business, struggling with the usual concerns over resources and unfair governmental rule; fretting over the next technological advance and whether or not they had the money to keep up. Employment was dropping, violent crime and poverty rising. It was normal; it was something everyone took for granted.
Then, NASA discovered something approaching earth at an unbelievable rate; the object was massive, and making an intercept course with our planet. They did all they could do, and waited, choosing to do the unthinkable and warn the public of the potential catastrophe. As to be expected, rioting and civil unrest follows, but the public dealt with the news better than expected.
Then the collision happened. December the 21st, 2012; the date the Mayan calenders had predicted the coming of the end. Damage to the earth was minimal, except for the north pole; the biggest of the space rocks left a hole nearly a mile in diameter, but surprisingly, did not wipe out life on earth, or even wreak that much havok.
It wasn't until months later that the changes started happening. Animals began to react strangely; dogs began to howl and screach, as if something was causing them great pain, migratory patterns of the birds were disrupted - many species out-right dying. That was just the beginning.
Mass hysteria ensued, as creatures once familiar began to morph at an alarming rate; family pets lying still one moment, suddenly mutating and growing extra limbs, doubling in size. Bodies barely handled the sudden change in physiology, skin splitting and exposing muscle that was growing exponentially. Once common fangs and canines expanded and extended, agression levels sky rocketting as these strange new creatures began to hunt anything that hadn't mutated.
Humans were the last to be affected. Equally gruesome transformations overtook them as well; some merely turned into mindless killing machines, losing all color and seeming to go completely insane. Others would grow strange appendages made from their very bone structure, much like spears, some like saws. Environment seemed to affect the transformation. It was almost like extreme evolution on a monumental scale.
Society collapsed. That's where we're at now; humanity is on the brink of destruction, still fighting for survival. Cities have been overtaken by nature - or whats left of it - and these new xenomorphs. The old world is gone. There is only one thing left.
Survival.
Our story starts in New York. Several years have passed...

OoooOOOOOOOoooooo I'm intrigued. I love [post] apocalyptic stories O3o
Idk who I'd go with in this scenario though... I'm torn between Anthony, Jason, Nick, and the Nyes twins. I dunno xD
I do like the story though.

Someone realistic, preferably. Someone a good, strong survival instinct.
Bad-ass is alright, but to a certain degree; my character is bad-ass, but fear of death is what keeps him alive above all else.

Order of elimination.
Jay, nick, and the twins all have strong survival instincts but the twins are more concerned with keeping each other alive rather than their own self-preservation, although they really don't need to worry about that since they've got each others backs (and I already have them in an rp)
Nick is more of a badass than jay in a more noticeable way (new York is also his hometown ); I suppose jay has his moments but he's more the intellectual type.
Nick, however, sometimes doesn't really care about his own life. Jay is pretty much always trying to keep himself alive.
And it would be interesting to see a nerd meet up with a badass, so I guess I'll go with Jason.

Yet another survival/post-apocalypse story. What makes it so popular?
Either way, I'm in. My favorite charas for post-apoc scenarios are Jane and Austin.
Jane is out for her own survival. Austin would be someone on damage control. (Helping others and fighting mutations.) Jane is a scavenger, Austin's got a boatload of gadgets. So, either one is pretty fun to play with.
I'll leave it up to you and Lucy.
(PS, Jane doesn't always need to have wings, and Austin doesn't always need to be a part of a sci-fi military project. I can tweak and adapt them as necessary.)

Great, that fills all the spots! Lucifer is going with his character Jason, Oaky - well, it's up to him/her which she uses, I don't mind, then we've got the MadCatHat or whatever person joining as well. I'll be using Gabriel Stone, whom I need to make a profile for real quick.
IM A GIRL GOSHDANGIT
But lol I am going with Jason (although Austin wants me to switch to the twins xD speaking of which, you need to reply, Oaky)
Madratbird, maybe? She's cool.
I love Austin Rose so much

I apologize! When I think Lucifer, I think big red guy, horns, and a penchant for clubbing baby seals.
Lol it's ok I like giving people a hard time about that.
I think megamind now: I'm trembling in my custom made baby seal leather boots!
But it's a long, long story.
