Arc looked away from her quickly. He sat down on the dirt, and shook his head no,still looking down at the dirt."I didn't bring anything to swim in.." he said,",I don't want to go.." he said.He saw a bit more, than he needed to,but he still liked it here.
"Alright," she said and waded into the water. I please shiver ran down her spine as the cool lake seeped through and up her fur.
He just sat there on the dirt,he finally found the courage to look up when he figured it was safe to look.
Natalia was in up to her neck in the water, so it was indeed safe. She smiled over at him from her spot in the water.
He sighed the slightest, quietest, unbearable sighs of relief,at least he looked up at a good time.He smiled slightly at her,at least she seemed to have fun down in the water. He would stick as a bystander, just watch, and look around.
Natalia dove underwater and didn't resurface for about ten minutes. Being part shark, she had a small set of gill that could help her stay underwater longer, but they didn't give her enough air to sustain herself.
Arc looked up at the trees,as little lines of light came through the branches and leaves. He looked at the lake, seeing as though Natalia had not come up for awhile, but since he knew she was part shark,he didn't bother with it.But instead,he decided to time her,and see how long she could stay down there, if only I could do that.. he thought seeing as though he would drown after a few if he tried what she was doing.
Arc nodded,"I'm sure" he said.No point in getting good clothes wet,or,other options. After a few minutes of just sittng there,he got up and walking over to the lake, sitting on the edge, close to the water, making sure a distance was between him,and Natalia,he traced his finger around in the water, something to do.
She kept her distance from him, realizing that he had become uncomfortable with her nudity, and she dove under water again.
He never dared to look, never even thought about looking. He just continued messing with his reflection in the water.
After about an hour she got out of the lake and quickly dressed herself again, "I'm ready to go if you are."
Arc looked away as she redressed herself.Once she was done,he stood up and nodded okay.
On the way back home he asked her,"did you have fun?"
On the way back home he asked her,"did you have fun?"
She nodded, "Last time I went swimming was the day we met... Though you know that since I've been with you ever since... Anyways, this was a lot of fun, thank you," she said. She wanted ever so desperately to kiss his cheek again, to somehow win his affection but she just bit her lip and tried to suppress the feelings to the best of her ability.
He looked down"your welcome" he said,he looked at her,"I'm glad that day happened" he said with a smile. He had a few reasons to say that, more than one possibly.
She blushed, "R-really?" the hybrid asked shyly. Yes, she knew that Arc was her best and only friend, but for some reason it hadn't occurred to her that he might be happy they met, that he wouldn't have cared if they hadn't.
"Yup" he answered her shy question,a smile still on his face as the two continued walking.
He looked ahead as they walked,he was glad he and Natalia had met,he had not a single reason not to be.Soon they reached his house again.
She held the door open for him then went and sat down in front of the sofa with her feet out in front of her.
