He went and sat on the couch beside her,he could use something to do in the meantime anyway.“Stupid things make people laugh,right.?”

She nodded and continued watching. Eventually she wound up falling asleep and she leaned against his shoulder, "Thank you Arc," she whispered before falling asleep.

He watched the show until she ended up falling asleep against his shoulder.He blinked and looked at her out of the corner of his eye.He smiled slightly,he didnt move,not wanting to wake her up.Your welcome... he thought.

She wound up sliding down so that her head was resting on his lap.

She woke up after about half an hour later and she abruptly sat up, a deep blush on her cheeks, "S-sorry..." she said shyly.

He looked down at her on his lap.He didnt move,he didnt want to wake her up.He sat there a hour and a half,atleast he could watch television for something to do atleast.Once she was awake and got up off his lap he looked at her,“I didnt mind..” he said.

"I-I guess TV isn't that good at keeping you awake..." she smiled wanly.

“I guess not” he said looking at her

She leaned back as comfortably as she could with her dorsal fin and stared at the TV again.
"What's your other house like?" she asked.

“Its a nice place.” he answered,“It even has a courtyard nearby,the courtyard has a meadow..that me and my dad used to play and goof on in,back when i was a kid...” he said.his voice faded abit on the last 4 words..

"It must have been nice..." she said quietly, "To have had parents... And to have a warm place to sleep every night...."

He looked down,“I can give you places to stay,but i cant give you parents,i dont even have my own.”

"Having a friend is more than I could ask for," she looked away, "I owe you a lot..."

“You owe me nothing...” he said,looking at her.

"You fed me and clothed me and said you would be my friend, all in one hour. I haven't gotten that much in my life," she looked back towards him but didn't lock eyes, "I need to repay you..."

He looked at her still,but not directly in the eyes. “Thats just what friends do.Help each other.But you dont 'need' to repay them in return for their favors..” he said,“Unless they ask for return,which im not..”

"Well... I want to... No one has ever been nice to me before... I want to do at least one thing for you..."

It didnt look like he would win this anytime soon.He gave up.“Fine..” he said“one thing.Only one thing.”

She nodded, "Anything, whatever and whenever,"

“Whatever..” he said looking at her..however he couldnt really think of anything she would be able to repay him by.

"Anything," she nodded and started to pet her tail
