His cheeks turned pink as she didnt that.He looked away,slightly.He didnt say a word.Not a good word,not a bad one,but nothing at all.

She took his silence as a hint that she should stop and she leaned away from him then looked awkwardly down at her hands as she set them in her lap, "S-sorry..."

He looked back at her,“No need for apologies,I didnt mind..” he said,then smiled slightly to proove his point of it didnt bother him.

She blushed deep red again then tentatively rested her head on his shoulder then nudged his neck with her nose again, ever so gently.
Despite the viciousness one might think to come from someone who was half shark, Natalia was probably the gentlest soul you could ever come across. She was more docile and submissive to just Arc than a lamb was to a lion.

His cheeks turned pink again.There the two sat,under sunshine and blue skies,with a meadow of flowers nearby.He wasent frightened by the fact she was part shark.If she was mean it would be a different story,but Natalia was nice,nicer than other creatures in this world.

She adjusted herself so that her feet were straight out in front of her and she scrunched up her furry toes then smiled up at Arc, a real smile. It was still shy, but it was sincere and happy.

He looked at her,a slight smile on his face.His cheeks were still blushing,and sadly,unlike her,he didnt have fur to hide that fact.The fact he was blushing slightly was just standing out there.

She couldn't help but to giggle slightly at his expression and she touched her nose to his cheek, "Y-you're really warm," she said softly.

That was the first time anybody had ever told him that.But afterall,her nose was touching his blushing cheek.

She turned her head and rested her cheek on his shoulder and the top of her head was against his cheek.

He sat there beside her.One might wonder,was Arc the only person Natalia ever met that showed her kindness,and didnt hit her if she touched them.

That answer would be no. She had been shown kindness, but never from a human and most certainly never from a human teenager. They were the ones who beat her and called her terrible things. Every once in a while, an adult would slap her or throw some insult, but it was only of she did some minuscule thin they deemed wrong; most of the time they thought themselves above even hitting her, like she didn't even deserve that attention.
It was only two other times that she could remember being shown a simple kindness, and both were from anthros. The first time, a teenage wolfgirl had given Natalia her leftover burrito. It had been the best thing Natalia, who had only been seven at the time, had ever tasted. After taking the first bit, she had hugged the wolf and the teen had been surprised but hugged her back. That had been the best feeling, and still was the best feeling she could ever imagine. The second time was when she was around 12 years old and a horse man had given her 30 dollars to buy a shirt (her shirt had been torn to the point it wasn't wearable by a severe beating he had gotten two days before) and a meal. Natalia had tried to hug the equine but he immediately pushed her off of him, throwing her to the ground. He just gave her a pitying look and then walked away.

Natalia's ears twitched as a hummingbird zoomed by and she smiled as the brightly colored bird hovered in front of her for a second then went around from flower to flower.

Arc knew the world was a mean place,he knew it was filled with wicked and mean people,nobody had ever treated him badly,but one thing he knew for fact,somebody had started that fire that caused his parents death years earlier.He knew if a rich human saw a poor man on the street begging for money,the rich man would spit on him and tell him to get a job,worthless trash.But as Natalia knew,he would never do such,it just wasent in his nature to do so.
He watched the hummingbird zoom from flower to flower,it went to purple flowers,blue flowers,yellow flowers,orange flowers,pink flowers,white flowers,and so many more colors.

Natalia looked up at Arc, an affectionate expression plastered on her face and her eyes sparkled a little bit in the mid-day light.

He looked at her,seeing the expression,seeing the light shining in her eyes.His smile stayed upon his face.

A shudder ran down her spine at his smile an she mentally melted to him, letting out an eager, needy whimper as she cuddled into him, desperately wanting him to hold her.

At first he couldnt figure out what she wanted.It took him a moment,but he finally figured it out.He held her.

Her cheeks became as bright as a cherry and she cuddled even closer, rubbing her head into his chest and for the second time that day, happy tears streamed down her cheeks.

He held her,he felt glad slightly.He could tell she was crying,but he knew the tears werent filled with sadness.

She reluctantly pulled her head away when she felt her tears soaking his shirt and she smiled sheepishly at him, "Sorry bout that," she gently pressed her furry palm against the wet slot, hoping her fur would absorb it, but it didn't do anything.
