N00b. SLAPPERS ONLY

I am a bit of an old coot when it comes to games. I enjoy a couple modern games like Dragon's Dogma and Skyrim, but I get frustrated with them very easily. Redbeard likes to make fun of me.

My list of faves is pretty varied and changes depending on my mood that day, so here goes. In no particular order:

• The original Spyro trilogy (PS1) (I hated Legend of Spyro with a burning fiery passion--don't even get me started)
• Shadow of the Colossus (PS2)
• Secret of Evermore (SNES)
• Secret of Mana (SNES) and Legend of Mana (PS1)
• Chrono Trigger (SNES)
• FF6 (I played it when it was labeled as FF3, for the SNES) (Why, oh why can't they remake this game to justify me playing it AGAIN)
• Yoshi's Island (SNES, though the DS one is good too)
• Sly Cooper 2 and 3 (1 and 4 are ok)
• Pokemon Silver (and SoulSilver) (GameBoy and DS)

FF4 will also forever hold a place in my heart as one of the first games I ever fell into, and it's where I got the name of my first character, Kain. I used that name for over a decade. FF10 as well is special to me. I played that game religiously and it had my first ever video game crush. I'll let you speculate.

Here is a list of games I personally enjoy:

Unreal Tournament 99/04
Killer Instinct
Medieval 2/Rome: Total War (My computer is not beefy enough to run ROME 2)
The majority of Mortal Kombat games (I even liked Armageddon, which a lot of people consider the worst)
Star Wars: Battlefront 2
The Sims 2
The Elder Scrolls Franchise (Excluding the Spin-offs and handheld titles)
Super Mario World
And Mount and Blade: Warband

There's a load of other titles I also enjoy, but that all depends on when I'm in the mood for them.

I miss my Legend of Dragoon discs! T.T They went missing about a year or two before I moved out of my grandparents. v.v

You has good taste. Hardly anyone knows about Secret of Evermore and it's one of the best games ever made. EVER. It was hilarious and the gameplay was crazy fun.

Yes. Yes it was. I want to grab it again and start playing it. I will name my dog in your honor. I need to do a 100% run in it: get EVERYTHING, go EVERYWHERE, burn away portions of my life irreversibly to level up flare. SEEMS LEGIT.

I grew up on a wide flavor of platforms - eventually owned a Sega Genesis, a Super Nintendo, original Playstion, an N64, the first Xbox, then a ps2, ps3, a 360 and soon a ps4. ...Also several gaming pcs I made. (No, I'm not filled with money, I just have crappy priorities)

WHAT IS BEST IN LIFE?
TO CRUSH YOUR MINI-BOSSES, TO SEE THEM DRIVEN BEFORE YOU, AND TO HEAR THE LAMENTATION OF THE PRINCESSES! I think I got that right.

^ Basically this but not quite as extensive a collection on Pokemon and Zelda, SHOCKINGLY. Ripto's Rage will always be my favorite Spyro, and Ocarina of Time will always be my favorite Zelda and also own my soul. Okami and Kingdom Hearts are up there, too, and my boyfriend SWEARS he's going to get me to branch out into moar games because I am not at all well-versed in them aside from the few franchises I stick with.

I'll pick ten because it's easier, not a top 10 though.

1. Pokémon (All of them except for Trozei, Conquest and Pokémon Dash. Conquest I simply have not played and I'm sure that I'll love it when I do)
2. The Legend of Zelda The Wind Waker (I like Zelda games in general but this is the absolute pinnacle for me)
3. Trine 2
4. The Ship
5. Batman Arkham City
6. L.A. Noire
7. The Elder Scrolls (Morrowind and Skyrim. I dislike Oblivion for the most part)
8. Super Smash Brothers Melee and Brawl
9. The Sly Cooper Series
10. Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 (I have not played any of the sidegames)

You can thank Mortal Kombat with there introducing fatalities for that. More speciifically Sub-Zeros Spinal Rip. And Thus the ESRB system was born.

I have played more but, those are certainly the ones I remember distinctly enjoying more.
