Haha OK. I'm just figuring out how this all works. I've never RP'd online before, only on paper (and once Live). I'm better at creating chars than impersonating them, but that only takes practice, right?
Soooo...is there a website-specific world on here? Like, a central narrative for all forums? Should I enter a charrie suitable for that? (I'm not very experienced in medieval/high fantasy settings, being a Shadowrunner for years, hehe, but I'm interested.) Or if not, where should I enter with my Tiedjen?

Yaay! Live action RP is so much fun, and I often feel like I'm the only person who does it around here. Or well, the only person who talks about it on a regular basis anyway.

But welcome to online RP, and more specifically, to the RP Repository. We're very newbie friendly around here, so don't be afraid to ask questions or look silly, someone will always try to help.

There's no website specific world, as we exist to try and assist with play in "Any system, any setting". Most of the RP threads on our forums have some general information about the world or setting the people there want to play in, typically in the very first post. Alternatively, some people have formed groups, and have information up on their group profiles that should help you figure out what's going on there.

Maybe the best way to find some play is to visit the massively popular "Just Talkin'" thread over in the small talk forums a few times. Hit the "launch chat" button so you can use it in real time, then start talking to the people there. I suspect that in a few visits you will meet someone very willing to play some scenes with you to help you get comfortable with playing online.

There's no central narrative to the forums. RPR doesn't create a world, it's about giving people a chance to post their characters, meet each other and roleplay together. Characters from fantasy, scifi, modern, historic...anything you can imagine are welcome.
