Amell clutched at his stomach in mock injury at Hanley‘s finger guns. “Oh you wound me, miss Hanley,” He said with a laugh, quickly waving her on to go have fun in the pool and watching as she made her way to her float and the others.
The wave just barely skimmed the side of Aimee’s thigh upon her Cluckers perch and the blond turned from Matt to splash Hanley back with a giggle, not aiming for anything above the woman’s neck for the sake of not being a total jerk. She sent a friendly hand wave Jack’s way, fully too distracted for introductions but not so much that she couldn’t be a small bit welcoming.
To Jack’s laughter and comment, Amell raised his cup as if to toast that he agreed fully to his own statement, “To beside the pool,” He nodded to Lian as she deemed it was okay to not have to go in. “Nice to meet you Jack,” He said, sticking out a hand for a shake. “Names Amell, that there is Aimee,” He said pointing to his sister in teal, “Hanley.” He gestured to the exuberant woman upon the glittering dinosaur float, “Matt’s the pizza man, and… Sorry Rocket, I didn’t catch your name?” He ended, realizing that he hadn't heard Umar introduce himself and refusing to feel bad he’d somehow missed it.
As Lian brought out some of those manual pool water guns, Amell grabbed one and called out to his sister. “Hey Aimee, catch!” He tossed it to her and saw it bonk her on the side of the head as she laughed and grabbed it before it could float away.
“Hey thanks, UPS!” Aimee called out as a splash of water hit her from Umar and then Lian. “Quick, Hanley, man the guns!” She managed with a giggle, thrusting the ‘weapon’ at the woman as she herself rocked and paddled Cluckers to a nearby foam mat, grabbing hold of it to shield herself and the other woman from the attacking rocket and poolside onslaught.
Grabbing a gun for himself Amell moved to stand beside Lian, his cup left behind on the chair, sticking the noodle gun into the water and joining her in the poolside attack. “The land dwellers have harness the power of water.” he said with a squirt at Aimee’s makeshift shield, and then another at Umar, and Matt. “Jack, we need you here man, soldiers of Beside the Po- Ack! Friendly fire!” He called out, shaking the water from his ear and moving his hand so that the pocket filled with Aimee’s phone didn’t get leaked in. And when he was sure it was safe, took his shot to soak the lovely creature known as Lian from chin to thigh.

((Stop being sorry, Som!!! RL comes first! And your post was wonderful Jack, no rust at all.))
"Hahaa!" Hanley laughed, tickled by Amell's comment, and the stream of water being aimed at her. Splash! She paddled her feet to dive closer to Aimee in her float, glancing back at the shoreline shenanigans with amusement. They looked like a lively bunch! What fun.
"Yes sir, Aimee sir!" Hanley recited cheerfully, barking out another laugh of delight and grabbing a water gun. She swept it through the blue water below her, helped by the wave that her blonde fellow float-rider had caused, and then aimed it at the shore. She was just getting ready to squirt it at Matt or maybe Jack when Amell spurted water all over Lian. Hanley's mouth dropped open and she gasped. "Oh my- Get him!" She said vengefully, with a grin, and aimed her water gun for his... shoulder. "Take that!" The young woman called.

Lian's attentive gaze watched as Umar picked up one of the devices and began to join in on the fun, smiling as he took his weaponry afloat and started his own assault on the others in the pool. The smile on her face was wide as she looked at the floats in the pool, some occupied and some not, the sounds of music and conversation and laughter making a thrum of pride and happiness vibrate within her chest. She liked to have fun, but she also liked to be the cause of others having fun.
It might have appeared that she was staring off into nothing, daydreaming with a weird smile on her face, but she was jolted back to reality with a spurt of cold water meeting her face. Her nose wrinkled up as she laughed, turning slightly with a hand out as if that might prevent her from getting more wet. "Not fair! Not fair!" she called out in that sing-song voice, but it sounded very far from being upset. Once her dress was doing being drenched, she shook her body, almost as a song bird might when ruffling its feathers while playing in a sprinkler.
"Yes, yes! Gets him, gets him, gets him!" the fae cheered in repetition of what Hanely had said. While some might see it as unprofessional to be soaked and in getting into a water fight with the guests, Lian thought of it as an excuse to get what she wanted. After all, no one could fault her if she didn't get wet herself and if the guests were having fun. If she got soaked in the process, it was all part of her job. Maybe Lian didn't understand the concept of teams, or that this was a game of people in the pool vs people out of the pool. With each refilling of her water gun, she sprayed down a different person, ensuring that everyone would be as soaked as she was becoming.

Normally Percival was quite punctual to these things, yet it seemed he was a bit fashionably late to this event. Thankfully it wasn't an overly serious event, where punctuality would be mandatory, but he still chided himself a bit for falling behind on his time. Oh well. Better to be late than to never show up, eh?
Even with the sunny day out, Percival was dressed in anything but clothing to match the weather outside. Good thing he brought a small swim bag with his swim gear in it. He'd need to find a changing room at some point, not wanting to change before hand.
As he finally arrived to the destination of the party, he would look for someone who could tell him where he'd be able to change and join the party.
Percival' hair is parted at the side, with the longer section colored white and the shorter section black. He has narrow pure blue eyes and wears silver studs in his ears. Beneath a thick, black-and-white furry coat, Percival wears a tuxedo - consisting of a black dress shirt, blue tie, and black-and-white vest. He also wears blue gloves. He has several tail-like appendages hanging from the bottom of his coat.
Soon he was shown to a place to change into his swim trunks, then escorted to where the party was being held. A pair of sunglasses now sat over the weretiger's eyes to protect them from the sun, his toned and muscled upper half shown a slight pale color. His trunks went below the knee, and were tiger patterned: White with black stripes. On his feet were a pair of flip flops.
Percival would stand and stare at the water fight going on, after he tucked his swim bag with his towel and the likes at a chair. If his tail were visible, which it wasn't at this time, it would be twitching behind him while swaying to and fro.

Laughing and having fun squirting each other with water, or in Aimee’s case protecting her and Hanley from the brunt of any attack, the siblings looked to be having the time of their lives. However, soon Amell held up a hand in a signal to stop any attack on him. Reaching into his pocket he pulled out Aimee’s phone that had begun to ring and turned from the fight so it would be protected from any rogue water.
“Hello?” He asked, and continued his conversation while Aimee looked on, peeking her head around the makeshift shield. Her face scrunched up as she headed the conversation which led more in the direction of them needing to leave.
“Just a bit longer, we’re having f- Okay, we’ll be home soon.” Amell signed and hung up turning to Aimee. “Sorry sis, time to go.” The blonde girl sighed and looked to Hanley.
“Sorry, you’re going to need to man your own shields.” She said with a giggle and a wave, flopping off of Cluckers and paddling over to the side of the pool. Grabbing Amell’s hand as he offered it she climbed out and gave everyone a wave as they gathered their things.
“This was so much fun, it was great to meet you all. We’ll be sure to come back again to one of these, hope to see you all there.” Taking a towel from one of the poolside attendants, Aimee dried off quickly and soon they were off, heading away from the pool and the Red Rabbit rooftop pool party. It had been fun while it lasted, but duty called… or rather Grandmother did.
((OOC: Thanks all for the awesome RP, I am just about to head out to a no service zone for a while so I thought I’d post out, Hope you all keep having fun!! Thanks for hosting Som!!! I had a splishy splashin' good time! ))

"Aw, shucks," Hanley said cheerily enough, waving at Amell and Aimee before they left. "You make a good team and enemy! I'll send you a letter sometime!" The woman added, winking at them both as she called out her goodbyes. The sun glimmered off of their hair and water dripped in their wakes, and Hanley smiled to see it. She shot them some last finger guns at their exit, and waved after they were gone, before gulping the last of her drink and climbing off the floatie to dive underwater and swim for a moment.
The water was still perfectly temperate, only slightly warmed by the moving bodies and active splashing, and the sun shining down on it in places. she considered taking a mouthful, but let the water run past instead. She blew some bubbles. She came back up. Climbed onto the float again, and paddled toward the edge, where she popped some fruit from a tray into her mouth. The burst of strawberry and mango on her tongue, and the melon a moment later, was very sweet. She hummed, and drank the melted ice from her drink. She looked around to see a newer fellow, wearing bold stripes and classy colors, walking around near the pool. She waved. "Hi!" she called to the guy, wondering if he was looking for someone. Maybe he was here with someone already and had lost them? He had a slightly regal air about him, for all his silent and meek "vibe". Maybe he'd have some interesting conversation, she thought. Or he could be some kind of delegate from elsewhere, unsure how to proceed. Maybe he was a criminal looking for a deal.
She laughed at herself. There was another elegant man not extremely far off, with a rather fantastic tan. He didn't look like he wasn't having fun.
Hanley sailed in a circle with her float, and nodded to the Rocket guy. She considered hopping out of the pool, but figured another drink could wait. She didn't know what she wanted yet, besides.

Percival blinked behind his shades, seeing and hearing someone give a hello to him. The were did his best to not blush. Boy should he learn to get out more for fun! If only he remembered that his co-workers at the office, constantly were telling him this.
"Hiya! Sorry to just stand around. Would you believe it is my first pool party?" Percival returned the greeting with a wave of a hand.
Goodness, this was a bit embarrassing for him to admit! But! He had no reason to lie. He had an indoor pool back at his own place, but he had gotten bored of swimming on his own. This had sounded like a good place to attempt to socialize more. It still didn't help he felt a bit idiotic for being so new to these things.
"Mind if I join you, or you waiting on someone?" Percival asked.
He would join in the pool its self soon, but he wanted to know if she wished for just friendly company or not.
"No problem," Hanley said calmly, and dramatically gestured at the wide-ish expanse of pool space next to the water. "There's quite a bit of room." She smiled. "It's actually my first pool party as well, technically. Or, I mean, the first one I've attended purely as a pleasure trip. I've been to some before, but they were more signature places to relax as part of a business trip... Sort of."
She paddled nearer to the edge, and looked around for her sunglasses. "Oh, hey, if you wanna join me that's fine- I'm not waiting for anybody. Well, not anybody specific. In a manner of speaking." She thought for a moment. "More like- sure, go ahead. If I see somebody that I know, I'll talk to them." She huffed slightly. A laugh, a small one. "How's that?"
She could smell vanilla. It smelled pretty nice, although it was a little bit strange wafting through the other odors of pool water, chlorine, faint perfumes and sunscreen. And the sharper tang of alcohol that permeated some of the air. Well, that was partly her own drink, though.
"I was thinking I might walk around and see the rest of the party in a while. Not sure how long it'll take before I'm done with the pool, though," she said, a little abruptly. She tapped on the float a little, watching it twinkle. It was pretty reflective, she mused, and wondered what it would look like underwater. Or in different lighting.

He would give a small, light chuckle of his own.
"Works for me."
Percival answers before he would remove his flip flops, putting them with his swim bag before heading down the steps into the pool rather than just jumping in. He wanted to not lose his sunglasses in the pool. The pool felt refreshing to him, always enjoying a good swim. Holding onto his glasses, and his breathe, Percival dove under water briefly so to get a full soak before putting his shades back on and found a body pool float to lay on. His attention re-focused on Hanley.
"Sorry, I usually have better manners. Name's Percival Quincy. You can call me Percival."

As Percival arrived to the pool, Lian was in the midst of a water war between guests. Honestly, it was hard to decipher which side she was actually on since she just seemed to be instigating everyone. She even went so far as to spray some water on the feet of a passing serving staff, wrinkling up her face, musical sounding laughter coming from her as her gracefully moving feet carried her around the edge of the pool as if she were dancing around a track.
When her attention drifted back to the man, she raised a hand to wave to him in greeting, calling out, "Hello! Welcome to the pool party or the beside the pool party. You pick, you pick, you pick what you want! Drinks, some drinks are free too! If they are offered, they are free. Make yourself comfortable, have funs, enjoy and enjoy and enjoy!" Her voice was melodic, rising and falling as if perhaps she were singing a song instead of speaking, her worlds holding lyrical intonations. As Aimee and Amell departed, the fae lifted a hand and waved to them, "Thank you for coming! I hope to see you again sometime! Always welcomed, you two always welcomed at The Red Rabbit, yes, yes!"
Her attention drifted to Hanley and Percival, watching them interact from across the pool, hearing bits of conversation floating on the wind to her ears. It made her smile wide, seeing people getting along and having fun. She put the nose of her pool noodle water gun into the water and drew back the plunger to fill it, walking slowly back around to where the pair was talking. Her steps slow, almost as if she were stalking the two of them in the most obvious way, ready to pounce at a moment's notice. But before she could attack, a uniformed member of staff stepped up to her and leaned in to speak to her in a hushed and hurried tone. After several nods, the staff member wandered off.
Lian gently let the toy in her hands fall into the pool, gracefully and yet unceremoniously as well. She smiled sweetly at Percival as she drew near and said in that melodic voice she always spoke in, "Welcome, enjoy and stay as long as you wish, as long as you likes. No rush to leave, no rush to go anyway. Stay, stay, enjoy!" She lifted a hand to Hanley and waved, "Enjoy the funs, enjoy the friends! Thank you for being here. Always welcomed when needing rest." Soaked and in need elsewhere in the establishment, the fae took her leave.
(( OOC: Thank you so much for joining in! So sorry to have to leave with my char, but real life and other things are making it hard to keep up with this. Feel free to continue writing with one another. Drinks and refreshments available on demand if needed. ))

Percival shifted his attention to Lian, giving a wave and listening to her words. He'd give a nod in response.
"Thanks very much, appreciate it!"

"Thank you, kindly." Percival smiled in kind.

Nearly wading in the water, but still having a bit of floatation room, the woman considered a little exercise. Hanley performed a small spin in the water, and spat a stream out through her mouth. She half-smiled at Percival. "Nice to meet you, Percival. My manners aren't usually this bad, either. My name's Hanley, but you can call me Dee." She stuck her damp hand out of the water to shake, and looked at it consideringly. She looked at the man standing nearby in the pool. She raised an eyebrow, a little challengingly. "Water-handshake?" She asked, almost solemnly.
Having waved goodbye to Lian, the beauteous server and guide(?), Hanley watched the woman walk away, out of the side of her vision, to other business.
Hanley turned her attention back to the strange man in front of her and began to question him amiably about other parties he'd been to. She herself had some experience in that area, though some of them were preferably not talked about; but really, there were experiences she'd missed out on, working so much of the time. Not to say that her work was bad, of course... She quite enjoyed it. And she saw some good shows sometimes, besides. But some of the more elite ways of enjoyment participated in by much of the world had escaped her, at some times or others, and she'd decided to make it up when she could by listening to others' stories. Well, after all, if you couldn't read a good story- why not hear it from someone else? A direct source was as good as any, for tales of fun and games.

(@Hanley: Understandable, and not a problem. ^-^)
It was slightly difficult for Percival to shake Dee's offered hand, since he was on his own pool float and not overly close to her. Percival stuck a foot and hand into the water, ferrying himself over closer to Dee, then would shake the hand.
"Pleasure to meet you, Dee."
As Dee questioned him about his other experiences concerning parties, Percival would inwardly sigh. Ah. She'd most likely find him a bore now. Well. He'd let her officially judge for certain.
"My experience with other parties is sadly limited. With my main job, a Family & Divorce Lawyer, taking up most of my time, plus other side jobs and the like, I don't really go out much or often to parties. I value my alone time so I can keep my sanity. Though I have gone to a few parties here and there, nothing as exciting as this one. But my co-workers, fellow lawyer's and such, say I should learn to get out more to enjoy myself."

(With the fact that the Summer Event is about to end as of tomorrow, if I remember correctly, I'll be excusing my muse so to complete my interactions. Hanley you are more than welcome to add me, and seek out possible rp with me. Or I'm up for just simple chatter. ^-^ Also thanks to Ms. Pixie for hosting.)
After some time of enjoying himself and talking with Hanley, Percival would be approached at the pools edge by a pool attendee. Percival arched a brow at the message he would receive.
"Thank you for that." Percival says to the attendee.
The were would shift his attention over to Hanley.
"I'm sorry to cut this short, but turns out I'm needed for an unexpected meeting back at the office." Percival sighed softly, yet semi dramatically. The actor to be in him surfacing a bit.
Percival would carefully get out of the pool, dry off with a towel, then snatched up his pool bag. He would ask the pool attendee for something to write on and with, then asked them to give it to Hanley before she left. Percival had provided contact information for Hanley, in case she wished to keep in touch with him.
"Enjoy the rest of your day!" Percival called to Hanley.
The were would then make his way to the changing rooms once more, changing out of his swim clothes and back into his other clothing, then headed out to his car so to head off after thanking the staff for hosting the event.

(I understand fine, Sir Percival! Thanks for playing with me. I'll see you around or something, I suppose. And yes, MissPixie, thank you for hosting! It's delightful.)
Hanley hmmed appropriately to Percival's admittance, and said that she, too, was often at business parties more than casual ones. She added that she was glad he was enjoying himself- leisure is important, too!
"It was a pleasure meeting you," she said gravely, and nodded at him as he began to gather his things. "Don't stay away from fun too often, okay?" She added, teasing, and grinned a little bit. "Goodbye! And thanks." She bid him a good and pleasant day as he left.
Hanley swam around in the pool a little more, then got out, and headed to one of the drink stands/tables. She got a vanilla-cinnamon drink, and a toasted cheese bite. Hmm. Delicious!
Hanley walked about a little, on damp and tiptoed feet, looking about at the artistic arrangements, the seating, the colorful decorating and foods. She sampled a berry juice. She nibbled on a sort of crumpet-like thing.
Then she went back to the pool and obtained her floatie once more. "I shall be sad when we part, dinosaur," she said solemnly to the float. "But our experience will not be in vain. I'll do my best to remember you..." She patted its head, and did a dramatic push-off-the-side-of-the-pool on the creature's plastic back. She paddled around a little more, yawned, and hummed to herself. She also waved, every now and then, at someone she recognized, and such. She relaxed. She floated, on the rubber, air inflated back of the sparkly instrument.
Using her small camera, Hanley captured a few pictures- an image of water droplets, cast up by her foot, high in the air. One of a duck-shaped floatie. Her drink, taken by the side of the pool, sparkling and glistening under the sun. Her sunglasses... And a dramatic selfie, posing an elegant way.
She squinted her eyes a little, to see her towel not too far off. She would get it at some point soon. For now, the water was still cooling her and the sun warming her in contrast, and the watery air was still comfortable enough to sit and bask in. Hanley half-closed her eyes, and swam along.

As many other guests were leaving, Hanley bid the float, her acquaintances, and the hostess, farewell. She slurped up the last of her drink. She got a refill, of water. She took a pretzel, with some embarrassment, because she didn't usually eat and leave. After shaking the server's hand and thanking them for their help, Hanley collected her bag, hung her damp towel over her shoulder, and pattered across the pavement to her shoes. Her flip-flops slid slightly, and crunched, on the soft grass, so she tried to avoid trampling it.
Phone numbers and addresses and other such contact info in place, Hanley waved goodbye and left the party.
"I had a great time, thanks!" She called happily. She bit into her pretzel, sauntered away, swallowed, breathed in the smell of chlorine and of sun-warmed air. The faintly grassy, chlorophyll smell of green leaves in the distance. She stretched a little. On to more adventures! And maybe even a peaceful nap. Hmm. Some air conditioning, a blanket, a teddy bear maybe....
"Goodbye!"
And Dee was off, Officer Hanley striding away into the noisy vanilla scented sunset sky. It was an excellent time had that day.
