Adelia (played by Angelus-Relator)

Adelia laughed, a hyena-like sound. Still standing as a barrier between the cooking fire and the other guests, the Reaper watched everything. She touched a few slug souls, making them vanish completely.
Kekostu (played by nightmqre)

Kekostu strolled in casually, having become aware of the situation a short time ago. Indeed, the alien was a magic user, so they figured they would easily be able to fit in amongst these people. At the same time, they weren't here for the same purpose as them.

". . ." They stood calmly and silently, looking at the woman in front of where Kekostu assumed the slugs must've been. While they wanted to grab as many as they could, they knew to seem non-suspicious they would probably have to wait their turn, and if that meant losing a few, then they would have to live with that fact.

They shuffled the way to the front despite this, hoping to be one of the first few to get their hands on the slugs.
Jadis (played by Juls) Topic Starter

Not the slightest bit bothered by the spat between the hobgoblin and the goblin, the witch continued plunking the juicy little morsels into the pan.

"Welcome, traveler," she croaked in a raspy voice at Kekostu. "You must be hungry. Have a taste," she said, offering the alien a Super Slug, salted and with just a nice amount of crisping on each side.
The Werelion (played anonymously)

Ah, hyenas, a lion’s natural enemy, was that the reason why Adelia was antagonizing Xochi?

“GROOWL!!” The Hobgoblin snarled at the reaper in her way, her respect for the witch being the only reason why she didn’t simply start swiping at Adelia and the goblin.

“You have no claim in this! You’re not even eating the slugs! Hmmrr!” She complained just as Jadis began offering slugs to Kekostu.

“Now he’s eating them! HMMRAA!” She roared again and held her head. “I’m hungry!!”
Quillton n' Snual (played by Folklore)

When the hobgoblin and the goblin began picking at each other? With the reaper stepping in to intervene? It would have been the perfect distraction! Quillton was about to roll around the rock to break the salt circle and let his blugfriend (slug boyfriend) out! But then another stranger stepped in and Quillton slowed his roll, quite literally as he typically rolled across the ground on his quills. Quillton made himself small and watched around the rock. He knew he had to act soon. Quillton was getting frustrated now.

Snual watched the goblin and the hobgoblin with confusion. Neither seemed all too polite. Granted, Snaul wouldn't call anyone here polite, not even the slugs around him which seemed to be conspiring just behind him. He turned his eye stocks to the new comer curiously, but then Xochi started to yell and roar again and distracted him.
The green goblin threw his spindly limbs forward quickly as he suddenly scurried close to Xochi. Gnokz turned his back to the hobgoblin, though his head tilted to the side to watch her. He made a ‘hrmph’ sound before lifting his head and declaring, “I got next.” He prepared to leap for the next slug if he had to,
Kekostu (played by nightmqre)

Kekostu's gaze softened at the sight of the cooked slug. They bit their lip for a moment, taking the slug from Jadis' hands. They used their sleeve to their advantage. With the sleeve covering most of their hand already, they used their hand to make it look like they ate the entire slug; but instead they allowed the slug to slip under their sleeve, before putting their hand into their pocket and sliding it out subtly into it. They would have to use their magic on as many as they could once they were out of the cave safely.

They pretended to chew before swallowing visibly. They nodded, still not speaking a word; they were more of the silent type.

Unsuspecting of Kekostu's ploy, the witch continued working her pan, dishing out the delicacies to those gathered, though not exactly in an orderly fashion. Whoever was closest at any given moment got the next one.

"Looks like they are nearly gone..." Jadis said. The circle of salt was nearly empty now. Except for two slugs that were partially hidden by the rocks. "Look at these two stragglers!" The witch reached down and around the rock, intending to pluck one of them up with her long, gnarled fingers.

In leaning over so far, her foot broke the line of salt. But no matter... the need for the slug prison was nearly at an end...
