Hi! I'm looking for a partner to get some use out of my crotchety, old man casually plagued by a monstrous curse, Crowley. He's a grumpy, foul-mouthed monster hunter who just happens to have a little bit of a problem with spontaneously erupting into a murderous beast every now and then—the usual. You're not you when you're hungry. Though the end of his curse now approaches, threatening to rip away what humanity still remains within him, he's still hopeful to find a cure that's capable of reversing his affliction. At the back of his mind, the vaguest memories linger, but he can no longer make sense of them. There must be something more to this madness. If only he could remember...
This is a novella length, dark fantasy story situated in a Bloodborne-esque setting; if you're not familiar, it's basically just a really gritty, gothic sort of scenario revolving around a high prevalence of spooky monsters and violence. If you don't like world building, I can totally come up with the background myself, but I'd love to have both of our input for it! Heads up, this will clearly involve a lot of violence, gore, and overall pretty bad situations. Crowley also has an inclination to drop the f-bomb every few words.
I won't bother writing up a whole bunch of plot bunnies as I don't like cookie cutter scenarios, but I'm preferential to a dynamic with Crowley that involves a younger character who help reminds him of the memories he's forgotten. Child characters are okay, but young adult characters are preferred. I'm also fine with older ones, too—realistically, any character that can be justified fitting into this setting will work. They don't even have to like Crowley, either. Begrudging partnership because of the dangerous circumstances, they're injured and need protection, whatever's on your mind.
Romance is unlikely, considering that Crowley's got more important things on his mind. Platonic relationships are a-okay, though! He's very dad-like when he's not being an absolute asshole.

More combat than not. The setting may be at war, and the characters will likely get involved whether or not they seek it out.

heyo! this sounds really interesting! I can see several of my characters working in this. My only problem being I don't ever count my words, just my paragraphs so I'm not sure how I measure up. I do enjoy a bit of world building myself, so I would love to help with that, and i love when other people can draw things, it helps me visualize and it gives me something to look forward to. Hey, there. The situation you describe seems to be my cup of tea. It's been a long time since I've been able to find a partner for anything other than relatively mild slice of life scenarios. Not that there's anything wrong with liking that kind of thing, but I like situations that allow a vampire the room to properly flex their repertoire of snazzy abilities.
I've been told my writing is nice. Coming up with at least a paragraph should be relatively easy. Thing is, sometimes there will be situations where I just have less to say, and in those situations I feel it's best to just put a pin in it and hit send rather than over inflate the post with a bunch of insubstantial, flowery crap. What I'm saying in a roundabout way is, my post length varies! But you will never have to worry about me sending you a one-liner. I'll not insult you with a lack of effort on my part.
