Hello members of RP Repository. At time of this post I joined about twelve hours ago. I've seen this website a few times over while on Furc. Just that I've never really been interested in joining up until now since it's getting near impossible to find any descent RPs on Furc, or maybe I'm just not looking hard enough?
Aside from not looking hard enough I've actually done forum RPs for quite some time and I noticed the neat little dice feature that comes with the forum. Now that is really awesome because on other forums I've RPed on I've had to deal with god moders on a regular basis. Bleg, don't really want to go into that but yes I like using dice in RPs whenever I can.
And speaking of which my preference to RPs is that of Sci-Fi Fantasy, with magic and starships and such since my main is based on sci-fi fantasy set up. heheh... Anyways, glad to be here with some fellow RPers and <Insert filler end text here>.

I agree, dice are a fantastic way to level the playing field and keep things fair and friendly. I used to feel that they were too restrictive, and due to a few early bad tabletop experiences, I went through a phase of thinking that everyone who wanted to use dice were just trying to find ways to justify their being too overpowered because the rules seemed ridiculous and impossible for anyone to memorize to me. But since then, wow, I have just had a complete change of heart. It turns out, it's easy to use them in straight forward ways that everyone can understand and agree on, and not only do they make things more fair, they make things even more interesting.
Because you don't always know what the outcome of your own actions will be (kind of like Real Life!), there's that extra charge of danger and excitement when your character sets out to attempt something risky. And I love that feeling. It's a little like bungee jumping or hang gliding. Except, you know... Through rolling dice.
Anyway, that is my rant prompted by your mention of liking dice. Hopefully it sounds like agreement, because it is.
