Here's the pitch: A prince/princess is trapped away in a tower by their parents until they can be married off for political reasons. A dragon is stationed as their protector, however, the dragon has both a human and draconic form it can switch between at will. And they're not all that bad. The two wind up forging a close bond and decide to escape together. (I'm into slow burn romance but I'm flexible) But tensions run high with conflict from dragon slave traders and the prince/ess's parents.
I've been toying with this idea for a while and can go into more detail on the worldbuilding if you're interested! But I'd really enjoy building this sort of thing together
so a long term partner is preferred. You can choose whichever role you're interested in, I don't mind! Though I would prefer an rp with a same sex pairing, mlm or wlw!

Magic is very common. Magic-tech, grand floating islands, forests that sing, magical creatures may be an every-day occurrence.
Renaissance
Combat is woven into the storyline and could come to the forefront if the characters seek it out.
Romance is expected but not required, and will be accompanied by other plot.
