I am not certain what I can say here that has not already been said on my profile, but I do wish to say Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening to all who dwell in this humble abode of a community. -Smiles softly- You may either call me Red or Azure, or any other character you eventually come to know me by, it doesn't really matter. I have been textual role-playing a little over 7 years, mostly in Yahoo Chat back when it actually had user-rooms, though also in many shapes and forms of private message and forum play as well. I tend to play my characters in unorthodox settings that often require me to explain the world or setting in which they come from. Anthromorphic creatures are a favorite of mine and take up most of my character roster. (Amusingly enough this mild obsession has led me to never create a single human character in an Elder Scrolls title..) I tend to enjoy a lot of irony in my role-plays, and often include themes of morality. lessons in which the protagonist goes through something drastic that helps him or her discover themselves for who they truly are. I enjoy delving into the darker side of human psychology. Because of this most of my characters usually have unique flaws or disadvantages that define them rather than a special power or ability that makes them stand out. Roger Rodriguez and Zoey "Hellcat" are two characters of mine that clearly benefit from this. My main problem is that my posts are never delivered how I invision them in my mind, something I hope to remedy over time with the help of others. With that said I look forward to meeting all of you, hopefully with the prospect of dusting off a few of my older characters to bring them back into the wonderful world of role-play. I appreciate anyone who took the time to read this. Thank you.

I've always been a fan of the Khajiit myself.

I myself appreciate your taking the time to describe what it is you're looking for or what it is that you enjoy, and I should do that one of these days. I really liked reading that your characters have flaws and disadvantages rather than special powers or abilities, because I normally don't get to see a lot of that in characters nowadays.

Hoping you find role-play soon that tickles your fancy and helps you progress with your writing skills!

I have to agree with Thayer, it is always refreshing to see someone take the time to really think about their introduction. It shows that they are really thinking about where they might fit in the community, and gives us all a chance to find something to play off of.

That said, I'm really curious what about your posts you don't like as well as what is in your head. Do you have words for the disconnect, or does that, too, not translate so well from head to page? Even if not, maybe if you try we will have a starting place to help from? Just about everyone here fancies themselves a writer, I think, and almost everyone considers themselves to be helpful as well. Given such a combination, I am certain we can help. And have a lot of fun along the way.

Thank you all for your quick and wonderful replies. I have not had much time to look around the site on my own, but from the options I have been given to create all of my characters this place is quite an achievement. Someone very, very close suggested that I should join and I am quite glad that I heeded her advice. It excites me to learn that people are so eager to help others improve their writing skills here. I will indeed create a thread in the future once I figure out where to begin. I deeply appreciate all of this feedback.
