(A roleplay between, Azrael, and Alexandra D'marilla.)

It was a cold night, the clouds and moon where concealed by the clouds that loomed overhead. Thunder rumbles in the distance foreshadowing a storm, there is already a light sprinkle of rain. The streets are nearly empty this night, and most of the city folk have returned to there homes, or local bars. A car drives down the street every so often. Azrael is walking down the street keeping one hand in his pocket and staring down at the floor beneath him as he moves on. He pulls his watch out of his pocket to check it momentarily before slipping it back into his pants. He walks past a bar that is just about to close and sighs wishingly, his breath comes out in wisps and smoke in the chill air. He walks a couple of blocks down the street, and sighs once more out of boredom. He walks past a dark alley, but hears something coming from the dark abyss, he looks down it, and listens to investigate.

A girl with light blonde hair was shoved out of he bar into the dark alley way. "Your a freak Alex!!" He yelled, slamming the door into her face. Ok, maybe it wasn't the best idea to have a drinking contest with some of the men there when she was only 17 but she couldn't resist the temptation to see the shock on their faces. Usually her high immune system was unnoticed by bartenders, but not this one. She felt her neck for her favorite necklace but I wasn't there. Hastily she searched the ground where the man shoved her out, the light blocked by someone at the mouth of the alley.

I watch the very sudden and aggressive scene unfold before me, raising an eyebrow as I see a young women, thrown out into the alleyway. I immediately begin walking down the alley towards her, walking slowly, but taking long strides, causing my boots to to *click* on the concrete in a repetitive rhythm. As she begins looking around for something my interest is peeked even further, and my stride becomes slightly faster. I finally reach her and give a small smile, looking down at her. I say, "Excuse me miss?", in a very gentleman like tone.

Instead of looking up like a lady should, she continued looking for her necklace until she found it and strapped if back around her neck. She could smell the mundane scent coming off of him and she struggled to suppress her hunger. "Y-yes?" She said calmly, hiding her hands in the sleeves of her jacket to prevent the lights from reddening them as she got up, hood still on her head.

I continue to give a small smile and wait until she finds her possession. I finally got her attention, and she confirmed my presence. I stand up straight and then take a slight bow, placing a hand in front and behind me, saying, "I am Azrael....It is a pleasure to meet your acquittance.", I stand back up and give another small smile, before my face slowly returns to it's normal serious look. "I noticed that you were thrown out of the bar.....Are you alright?...", I look at her quizzically, and note every movement that she takes, it is in my nature to be cautious. I realize I was drifting off into thought and quickly give a small smile, and rub the back of my neck. You see my features and particularly note that it appears I am missing an eye, plus I look like I just walked out of the 1800's.

"I'm Alex, it's nice to meet 'ya too." Alex said, her accent kicking in. She knew she should speak proper english but she honestly couldn't care less. "Ya I'm alright, the tender is just mad because I'm a party animal!" She exclaimed punching her fist into the air and smiling, her hood falling down to reveal her light blonde hair in the dark alley. She dusted the dirt off of her blue jeans and stuck her hands into he pockets of her hoodie, not caring if she looked like a guy.

((Yeah, It was going to be hard describing the scene while being in first, so I swapped to third in the beginning, don't worry, I shouldn't be doing that anymore. I prefer first.))
I give an almost unnoticed smile and say, "That's a pleasant name". I quickly switch my demeanor and give a playful smirk, "Is that so?". I slip my right hand into my pocket and say, "What is a lady like yourself doing at a bar?". I think to myself, 'She doesn't look intoxicated at all...Maybe she has a bad reputation...and she is so young...', I let out a deep sigh, letting a warm rush of air spill out into the air, before being swept away. "It is truly sad when no one wants to have a little fun...", I say disappointed tone, and give a frown. I look at her and say, "You're the first person I've seen today that isn't a drag...", I look at her oddly, questioning her clothing, but shrugging it off.

"Thanks, and it's not fair that men can have all the fun." She sighed with a mechievious grin. His guy is a bit nosy....... she shrugged and looked up at the sky. Touches of lighter colors were already spreading across the sky as dawn approached, the air getting slightly colder as the wind blew and the clouds grew darker. Rain. she predicted it a second before it started sow pouring on. touched and the man in front of her dressed so oddly. "Why were you out his late?" She asked quizzically as she tightened her coat around herself.

I felt the rain begin to drop and fall down, pretty heavily, it probably was going to get worse as time went on. I didn't seem fazed by it, the rain dampened my hair, and small droplets of water were building up, and falling down my face. I simply stare at the girl, obviously I had a single track mind. I give a nervous laugh and rub the back of my head when she asked her question. I simply smile shyly and say, "I have a night job...", which was only the half of the truth. I become slightly self conscious of the my right eye, and cover it up with one of my hands and turn my head in the opposite direction, I became nervous and my heart sped up quickly, and I tried to continue with small talk. "Well...I also needed a drink....Or something to quench my thirst", I gulp in a futile attempt to dampen my throat, the chill night air had dried out my throat, hopefully the humidity produced from the rain would help.

Alex knew he was only telling half the truth when he told her he was working a night job but she was too tired to deal with it right now. Forcing a friendly smil back apon her face, she rubbed the back of her head and looked at Azrael. "There is another good bar down an alley way a couple blocks from here." She said causiously, knowing that the bar she was talking about was full of downworlders like herself. "As long as you don't really talk to anyone or do anything I think they will give you a drink.………"she said unsurely, plucking a stray hair out of her mouth.

When she speaks up I turn to look at her, not wanting to be rude. I still look slightly nervous, but remove my hand from the right side of my face. I notice her uncertainty, but shrug it off, I was sure this girl didn't have anything to hide, but there was something in the back of my mind, I didn't usually go on my hunches. I give her a small nod when she says she knows where a bar is, and my spirits are uplifted. I could really go for a drink, I usually get away with my under-aged drinking, but sometimes people will ask for ID and throw me out. I was assuming that this bar was more accepting since she goes there, she looks about 2 years younger than me. I look at her oddly when she says the company is all that welcoming, but I've been in worse bars. My odd look fades away as I give her a small reassuring smile. I say, "I'm okay with that.....If you are of course....", I rub the back of my of my head, running my hands through my thick short brown, now damp, hair. "Lead the way..." I say excitedly, I was finally getting that drink that I wanted.

Alex shrugged and walked towards the mouth of the valley, taking a quick right turn and then another at the next alley way, waiting for Azrael. She went over to the large dumpster that occupied most of the alleyway and pushed it out of the way with a solid kick, looking over her shoulder at Azrael. "It's down here, the second left turn then 3 doors down." She tried to explain in case he wanted to come back again.

I quickly follow her making sure that I keep up. The rain only added to the seen, I loved it when it rained. She was taking quite a long detour, but I didn't mind. The only thing I was thinking of at the moment was getting a drink, and following this strangely interesting girl. I wasn't looking when she kicked the dumpster away, when I heard the thud of metal I just assumed it hit the wall, I wasn't thinking clearly anyway. She gives me directions and I smile and nod, "Thanks....Lead the way". I waited for her to continue, I looked very eager at this point.

Alex moved aside the metal grate blocking the hole and jumped through, not bothering with the latter runs attached to the walls. Her feet hit the ground with a solid thump, about 7-10 ft. below the surface, and she straightened up. Looking up she motioned for Azrael to hurry up and she started walking to the second left turn.

I watch as Alex jumps into the dark hole, and quickly look down to see if she was okay. Seeing the drop I raise my eyebrow a bit, she was quite good at acrobatics, or she was something more than a human. He didn't mind that much though, if she was something, he would get a report on her, if she wasn't innocent he wouldn't have to do anything. I jump down the hole after her, and land on the ground easily, displaying that I was no ordinary human either. I followed Alex smiling to myself the whole time, I couldn't wait until I got my hands on some whiskey.

Once she turned the second left turn she walked 2 doors down and stopped at the third , waiting for Azreal to catch up a bit. Once he caught up; she knocked on the door using the oddly shaped brass knocker. A minute later a man appeared at the door and music could be heard pulsating through the place as he opened the eye slot. "Who there?" He barked.

"Alexandra and a friend." She replied calmly back as the man at the door looked uneasy. "Which fiend?" He asked a little more politely this time. Alex nodded at Azreal for him to step up and introduce himself.

I walk over to Alex and saw her use the knocker, which I thought was neat because most people now-a-days just simply knock on the door. The man didn't sound very friendly, but he seemed to calm down a bit once he knew who she was. I thought that this was the most ridiculous bar ever, it was probably as well hidden as a drug cache, but that's what made it interesting. When Alex nodded to me I quickly stepped up and said, "Good evening sir, I am Azrael...at your service", I take another bow and then stand up straight. I give a small smile, thinking about how close I am to getting a drink, "I believe my friend here, brought me to have a drink, I won't cause any ruckus...I promise", I say waving my hands in front of me nervously. Hopefully that would be believable, but a man missing an eye probably looks like he has had a far share of fights, or is just unlucky. After introducing myself, I look at the man waiting for his response, and turn to look at Alex every so often. I cleared my throat again, which was getting really dry now, but hopefully I was about to get a nice cold drink in a few moments.

"He's ok mike, picked him up at a bar across he street and some. Kicked out again." She added with a wink as the man opened up the door and glared at Azreal. "One fight boy and I'll let the people in here have 'ye." He said passing Azreal a small price of cloth that smelled horrible. "Make sure to keep that in your pocket." He added, turning away from the door and letting Alex and Azreal in.

Azrael smiled and said, "Like I said....I will not cause any problems, I assure you", I wouldn't as long as everyone else kept there cool, I could hold my tongue and not say anything when a jerk starts to talk to me, but after a while I might lose my temper, I should be fine though. The man hands me the piece of cloth and I nod to him, I knew what it was, pretty nifty that they gave it to anyone who needed it. I knew exactly why this place was so secretive now, and to believe a hunter was actually walking into a place like this. I was a wolf among the sheep, or...A lion among the wolfs. I casually place the cloth into my pocket, opposite of where I held my watch, and followed Alex in, I looked at her excitedly and impatiently, waiting for her to take a seat so we can get a drink. I don't keep my expression blank as I look around though, taking a look at the damage. I wouldn't know how many different kinds of species would be in here.

Broken seats and tables littered the floors and fresh booths and new tables filled the outer edges of the wall. Toward the left corner the bar was 4 deep with creatures of all origins. She walked through the crowd with ease, leaving ASzreal to work his way through the crowd. Alex sat down at the bar and ordered a "bloody mary", a vampire drink with blood and wine.
