I know a lot of people don't like Autumn because that means summer is dead and cool weather approaches (among other things) but I also know a lot of people who love it!

Personally I love Spring, but I can pick out things that I like about every season. What I love about Autumn is the food, the harvest get-togethers and the beautiful colors. It's easier to sleep... And I'm also partial to Halloween ;)

Can anybody else name some things?

I particularly favor autumn because of the wonderful colors of the trees. The weather also tends to be in the 'nice' area, where it's brisk and chilly but not bone-freezing so. It rains a lot, but that just makes the world smell nice.

It's the time where you start drinking warm cups of herbal and spices tea (cinnamon is a huge favorite of mine!), hot cocoa, and where cuddles with your special somebody serve the purpose of staying cozy and warm on top of everything else. :)

It's the time of warm apple pie and seasonal fruits that are the yummiest in my opinion.

It's the time where you start to fill your fireplace with wood to keep warm and where daylight becomes more precious. It's where the nights start to be the home of cozy family gatherings, and where the warmth of your house greets you and makes you feel more home than ever when you get back from work or trips.

I love every season, but autumn is the beginning of the winter, both which are the foundation of the best memories in my life. They're filled with holidays and good feelings that eradicate all the cold and winds and rain.

I couldn't have put this into better words! People take it for granted sometimes, and don't seem to realize that the colder weather is when everyone starts to grow closer to one another.
I'm an October baby, and I LIVE for Autumn and winter.

This year, it's a little different. After hubs was discharged from the hospital, we got moved to San Antonio for his rehab (and because his old unit was shutting down and they had to stick him somewhere 'permanently'), and from what I hear, there's not really a fall here. One day the leaves all just die and fall off. I'm not sure how I'm going to handle it. I'm used to spending afternoons just taking walks and drives to look at the leaves. And here, I'm not even sure it'll ever really get cold enough for my favorite fall jacket. I'm depressed.

There's no hope of even visiting? :(
Not until Christmas, and that's assuming he has the leave for it. Thanksgiving we're visiting his dad's family and taking a cruise. (Most of them haven't seen him since before the accident.)

Well, I hope you're able to collect the coziness that San Antonio's autumn might not grant you.
