"That last parts a surprise" he said.Black as coal huh.. he thought

"Whys that?" she asked. Willow was curious.

"I meant,the part about your eyes.How they once were black,I've never seen a person with black colored eyes before..."

"It took a while for them to change. But as you can see they don't look like that anymore." She pointed to her eyes "Oh well." She shrugged.

"I noticed" he said.

"Id be suprised if you hadn't." she chuckled "So do either of your parents have purple eyes? Or is it just a unique characteristic?"

He shook his head no,"My mom has green eyes,and my dad as blue eyes,so,I guess its just unique.."

"Ah. Thats interesting." she smiled. "Well they look cool." Willow nodded, purple was a cool color. She liked it.

Last he remembered the last person to have purple eyes in his family was his great,great,great,great,great,great grandmother.

She brushed sand from her legs. "There can't be to many people with naturally purple eyes out there."

"Rare" he reminded her.There probably wasent many people out there with purple eyes,probably not many at all.

"Right. Rare." Willow remembered he had said that. "Did you ever get made fun of for it?" She knew kids were jerks but she hoped he hadn't, he was a good guy.

"Who was there to make fun of me for it..everyone acted like I wasent even there." He answered looking down.

"Oh." She looked at him. "Im sorry Vexis, that really sucks." She wasn't sure what to do.

He shrugged,"its there dumb decessions...and all" he said,half uncertainty could be found in his voice.

"Still." she paused "Its their loss. You're awesome." She smiled softly.

His dark purple eyes lit up at the word 'awesome'.Never had he been called that before.

She grinned. It was nice that he took her compliment seriously and didnt dismiss it as a pity remark. Because she really did think he was awesome.

He looked at her,"y-you really think I'm awesome..?" He asked.His eyes were still lite up,by the thought of it.

"Of course." Willow couldn't believe how receptive he was to that comment, you'd think he'd never heard a nice word in his life
