Who would their have been to gave him compliments,he didn't have a friend,no girlfriend,his parents compliments were rarely heard,but still didn't count.
He smiled slightly,a not fake Smile.But the second that smile broke out,he started to fade away,then come back,fade away again,then comeback,not by his choice,but he was actually happy,over one slight word.

She stared at him. "Are you alright?.." She wasn't sure if that was normal or not.

Vexis looked at his body,disappearing and reappearing,"it does that when I get happy.I guess its just its way of saying,yay,one step closer to the afterlife" he said,

"Oh." she said quietly. Looks like another person was getting ready to leave her. "I didn't know that it worked like that." She looked at him speaking in a small voice "I take it you weren't happy when you were alive.."

"Truthfully,there's no way I could go to the afterlife,there's one thing,that will forever stop me"
He listened to her question,then shook his head no.

She wasn't going to pry for answers. She knew shed pass through him if she tried to give him a hug so instead she said "Youll get there one day. I promise."

He looked away with doubt,finally he stopped the disappearing,and reappearing frenzy.He shook his head,doubt taking over for the second.

Willow just looked ahead again "We all get where were going someday." she said

"I died about a year ago." He said."Since then,every now and then I've heard strangers talk about those who commit suicide go to hell.It makes me scared to move on with that in mind.2.There's so many things I regret that I did in life,..and all" he said,avoiding eye contact the whole time.

"Suicide doesn't deserve to be punished. Who should be punished are the people who caused it. And Im certain they won't go to hell." They better not.. "Second just because we've done bad things doesn't make us bad people."

Vex lowered his head,"I committed suicide for many reasons,so basically,I guess I lead myself to my death" he said.He said no more.
Nobody would understand him,or his life,nobody.

"If you say so." She sighed. She knew her own worst enemy was herself, maybe Vexis had been the same way. Except much worse..

Worse beyond what he had already told her.Pretty much,he lived a life of fear.Fear of being alone.
He didn't say a word,he wasent sure what words there was to say

She mustered all her courage looked out at the ocean and said "I left my home because my family sent me out into isolation." she paused "They were going to leave me to die because I was the weak link. That has negatively impacted my life more than I care to admit." She tucked her legs to her chest clutching them to her.

He looked at her,"sorry about that" he said.It seemed they both had crappy starts at life.

"It happened. Oh well." Willow was tempted to add "And I'm a better person because of it." but she refrained because she wasn't sure it was entirely true.

He wasent sure what to say to that now.

Willow slumped into her lap. Ugh couldn't she just have a normal conversation without messing it up? Apparently not.

"Is it just me,or do both of our lives suck in the beginning?..." he asked without making eye contact.

"No you're right." She spoke quietly. "I can only speak for myself but you being uh a- well being a ghost I can only assume your life was pretty bad too."
