<I don't know. I never expected to come into a town, so.. I don't know.>

<What does going into a town have to do with it?> she cocked her was to the side.

<I don't like being close to humans. I don't want to be caught.>

<It seems like everyone thinks you're Archur's though and he won't catch you if you dot want him to," she shrugged.

<I know.> He wanted to stay, but he wasn't sure how long it would be possible. He was wild after all... right? <What's it like in a pokéball, anyway?>

She thought for a moment on how best to describe it but couldn't ind the words to. She called over to the Lucario on the chair, <Hey, Anubis? Could you explain the inside of a pokeball? I'm not quite sure how to put it to words,> she asked.
<Sure,> he scratche his chin thoughtfully, <It's like... Being somewhere warm and safe but at the same time, you feel confined. Often times I feel safest when in the pokeball, like when I'm injured. It's a place of refuge when we are hurt, so it's generally a nice feeling, but the inside... It feels open and infinite, but because you know in your mind what you're in, it feels cramped. It's mostly a mental thing though, and if you can overtake that, they're fine.>

<It would always feel confining to me then. I like wandering too much...>

<He keeps us all out most of the time, but of you got caught, that would mean one of us would have to go into the PC, so we couldn't travel. Trainers are only allowed to travel with six Pokemon of their own at a time,> Anubis continued.

<That seems stupid. Why the limit? My pack was fifteen strong before I wandered off.>

<It's just one of the rules. Humans have big leagues set up in each country for trainers and everyone can only have six Pokemon at a time,> Anubis shrugged, <It's just a rule do that no one trainer can have too many Pokemon."

<Humans are very strange.> He looks at Archur, tilting his head slightly. <At least this one one is nice.>

<Yes. Archur is good to us and he does his best to make sure we're all happy,> Anubis nodded in curt agreement, <He wishes only the best for us all.>

<He isn't like some trainers I've seen. One attacked us with a Golem once. We fought him off, and he left, but... My older brother had been caught and we hadn't noticed until it was too late. We weren't close, but a brother is a brother, you know?>

The Lucario shrugged, <I was raised by Archur from an egg... I guess Rome is like a little brother, kinda. I don't talk to him much but we get along fine,> Anubis said thoughtfully, <I would be crushed if anything happened to him, as much as the rest of the team, but I don't know what it's like to really have siblings.>

<I think it would be the same. Family is family.> He looks at Anubis and nods. <Yeah, I think you guys are a family.>

<We are most certainly family,> he nodded in agreement, <Some of us more than others,> he gestured towards Nicholai and Forli, <And some of us... A little less,> he glanced towards Rome and Venice.

<Just like any other family, I guess.> The Houndour replies, looking with Anubis. <In a battle.. have you ever thought of doing something else, instead of what you're told?>

Anubis thought for a moment before shaking his head, <No... I trust that Archur has a plan with everything he does and I trust him to do what is right. Again, he did raise me from an egg, do he's technically like my father."

He stays quiet for a moment, thinking.

<I guess that makes sense.>

Anubis smiled, <But I also want to listen to him. Yeah, I've fainted a couple times in battle, but that happens to the best of us,> he said, <And he always takes care of us afterwards.>
